I’m actually really surprised with the db9 alloy, I went with the printed sten mags and it’s the one 3D build that I’ve had absolutely zero malfunctions on. Not even a break in period, and I’ve probably put 600rds through it so far. Now that I say that, I’ll probably have a malfunction. Aves is the way to go with their case hardened bolt.
@@PokeCactus hey! Actually just put another 250 through it this last weekend and still no malfunction, so I’m pretty close to 1k with no parts needing to be reprinted and no malfunctions, ran better than the scorpion that we had out there too
@@smokieshootshoot Yeah, looking at it, it's kinda weird a mag would cause light strikes unless it's getting in the way of the bolt or something. Maybe try printing your own stendo mag to check if the mag catch is too low on the mag for your setup
Were those edits when you were shooting at 4:26?? Were you having feed issues? Were you getting full mag dumps no problem?? I have one on my printer rn but it’s the sten mag version.
No real editing was needed to be done. I did have to clip apart, where a small child ran behind me since this I have also re-printed the stem version myself as well, and have yet to try it out.
Yeah I've found my 3d printed Glock 19s or atleast the pee80 frame doesn't like 32rnd oem sticks for some reason even. I always get one annoying malfunction midway through each time. It's odd. It's runs through reg oem mags and even ets with never one issue.
What’s the cheapest 3d printed thingy has been the easiest / cheapest you’ve done (if the answers are different please mention both). Wanting to try something like this out
Its not he stick mAg its the pressure and leverage exuded on the stick mag while firing......if you notice the longer mags have more play in the magwell than the shorter ones do. Its the same problem in glocks.
@@smokieshootshoot ahh sadly I'm from Georgia we dont really have any outdoor ranges in my area like this. What would you say the best filament is for something like this? I have a full metal hotend and an enclosure on my e3pro
Lower complete, found a modified front with integrated Afg, have to re-print the rear(forgot to change a couple settings so it's not up to par) Past that I'm just waiting on parts kit to arrive and I'm good to go!
So, you are from the USA, and gun barrels are legally sold without a license, then why don’t you contact the company and have them print a titanium barrel for you? There are 3D printers that print metal, and the barrel is perhaps the last part of a weapon that no one has ever printed. You must have companies that print metal to order, we have such in Russia.
Lol no that’s a flat lie. “Federal law does not expressly prohibit people from making firearms for their own personal possession and use including guns made of one or more components that have been 3D printed”
the only thing that would make it illegal federally is the undetectable firearms act. as long as it has enough metal to set off a metal detector it is completely fine.....well except for that ""brace"". personally if you believe the ATF wouldn't call that a stock, and thus an unregistered SBR then you are nuts.
@@elrojogrande744this was my thought as well regarding the “pistol brace” . Not that I care about it but I don’t want someone snitching on me at the range lol. Especially since there’s no strap or anything to wrap around the arm, would be hard to argue that it’s not a stock.

Still going strong? Any issues yet?

Probably some tolerance stacking going on between the differences of the mags. Try pushing up or pulling down on the mag and see if anything changes
Noted! Ill take a look at this. Thanks!

In my testing the 30 rnd mags have always been an issue. As soon as I switch to OEM 19 and 17 mags it works like a charm
It’s nice to know I’m not crazy!!
Even when you use OEM 30 rd mags?
Low Spring pressure might cause stovepiping.
OEM 33

Let me guess: The steel plates are to help reinforce the front trunnion pins, which were a weak point in the DB9 slim plastic body??
I can only assume so yes.
Any problems with the aves upper and bolt? I want to get one from them but ive heard mixed reviews.
I would skip it personally. There are better ones out there that are in good spec

Ya ORM for the win
What filament was this printed in and what printer and settings? Thanks!
Bambu tough pla and polymaker pla pro
Awesome build man! what brace is that?
It came in the file.
@@smokieshootshoothow do you like the brace versus the DB9 slim brace? I feel like the slim was kind of flimsy especially on the hinge pin
Ever going to be putting the BRICKAR up to some other lowers?
You mean a head to head?
does the hardware for the stock/brace come in the db9 alloy kit?
Glasses!!! 😮
Cool project, might have to come shoot with you and check it out!! 😊
Happy to have you out! Although now I’m using the Sten mag!
Have you done the sten mag version?
Not yet but I might
I use tinkercad. However I find some files are to large to load.
Do you find the same issue ?
All the time
what bolt/pin are u using for the brace???
Just a random screw I found on my floor tbh 😅. But the file should have a parts list

Do you have a tutorial for beginners. I just got interested to creating gun frames from 3d printing
Where do you go to shoot? Looks like a fun place
The outdoor range in Smelterville

@smokieshootshoot ha what. My old man lives in smelterville. Been at that range. Wallmart down the road. Airport across the highway. Crazy!
Is there an assembly video? Or is this same as Mac n cheese or any of the others with slight variability?

replace your fireing pin?
I’ll double check. But this was brand new stainless steel
did you firgure out your problem with the feeding was it the mags?@@smokieshootshoot

Awww thanks!
What part is 3d printed. Just the lower
Yes. The upper is real along with the lpk and rails
Can we see an update on the build
Yes! Although…. I’m now using the Sten mag version as it feeds better with the aves upper
You looked so excited!! Hahaha I am SOOOOO JEALOUS!!!
Just need to vist
Does somebody know a 3d printed gun chamberd in 222 remington ?
Iv never even heard of 222…
Use 27 round pmags they work great in mine even filled max my 33rd Glock don’t though
Oooo noted!
That bird cage is going to be sending your mac to the side. It's not quite on all the way.
That dance though lmao
Sometimes you just gotta let it out
What filament did you use? I’m new and I got some PETG
If like to make my gun functional and shoot.
Can you help?
What is the best filament for 3-D printing guns?
The go to is Polymaker Pla pro or I also use Efule tough pla
Eye pro is more important than ear pro, not that I’m a big ‘safety’ guy, just sayin’
Tbh I know… I drove 45 mins to the range in the ice just to not have my eyes. And was like well yolo
As a man who lost his eye to a gun related injury. I agree.
Have you experimented with or printed any of the meatball or Menendez mags? The two main options for printed Glock mags out right now.
Not sure I would SBR one of them but still nifty
really nice build!!
Thanks! I love it!
My favorite song of yours is Everlong.

What upper is that? That stock looks illegal AF, be careful bro.
Brace…. lol and it’s the Aves upper
