Lovely, I particularly love the third movement....and your use of harmonics in the strings is worth the price of admission alone for someone studying orchestration.
OMG DAVID WHY DONT U SHARE MORE this piece is absolutely fantastic!!!! 😍😍😍 Im absolutely in love with the chugging violin/viola in the latter half. The horn player also deserves major creds given the breadth of the range. bravo!👏
Really tormenting the French Horn player at some points ;)... But jokes aside: such an amazing piece! Thank you for being so inspiring, mr Bruce The mood this music evokes is tangible
I am once again astonished by your music. It's so delightful to live in a time with such a notable, living, composer. I loved the 2nd and 3rd movements. : ]
Beautifull in every aspects! I love the textures, and especiallly the colours procured in some parts by the adjonctions of both basson and French horn (the horn player must be a virtuoso to lpay these difficult and really unstable notes in those high registers). Just love it all. Thanks for sharing the score.
Nice piece David thanks for sharing. Out of interest - it’s such a departure in style from your college days (ref: 10 compositional blunders video). Am going through similar changes - how do you go about reconciling the two different Davids? I feel there’s a part of me hankering after the “contemporary music” scene (with a capital C for C**t) but also a large part of me that wants to be something else
Incredible piece, can't believe I hadn't heard this one before.
The performance is even better. Check the description
