Have you seen the new Makita impact driver that is coming out, it has a ring light as well and the control panel is on the back rather than the front.

Unfortunately drill bits have become a disposable item for me , I will buy what drill bits I need for a job and by the end of the job they are usually cooked . I can only put it down to poor steel quality of the bits , spade bits are the worst , if doing a Reno that has the old hardwood they barely last one day .

I’m with you mate. I’ve wondered how much better the more expensive ones are compared to the cheaper option. Doing what you said, buying a cheap version for a specific job and moving on. I’m not sure how much these will cost, but I’ll see how they go long term(I use a heap of bits, so I’ll know fairly quick). Have you seen the brand(can’t remember off the top of my head) in the USA that say they are indestructible and can pass through everything? Im looking at buying some to test. They’re just extremely expensive.
