I unfortunately haven't had the chance to play this yet but your videos continue to give me something to look forward to.
You know you can change your provinces, so you don't have to take mines, for example, until you need them for the gold or a boost. Just right-click an improvement, an it will give you the options for the province.
Anyhow, I enjoy watching you play. Glad you're using industrialists as intended.

I know its an older series but I was almost yelling at my screen to send those scouts underground lol. The underground has tons of prospecting opportunities and with the new update they have tons of nodes you can exploit.
Also, I know others pointed this out but you dont have to stick to one improvement type. You can get quarries and farms to boost pop and production and then switch them as you see fit. And special province improvements can be placed on any tile, so you can turn an awkwardly placed farm between three quarries into a central quarry for a bonus 15 production added to its base 10, for example.
Nice game setup, I think. I still havent touched this game since the week it launched... Seriously need to think of some game setup that I would like. Currently played four games in several setups, but they're all meh. There just seem to be less things to do, compared to AoW3.
Also, my ten year old PC is showing its age with this game, unfortunately.
You probably already know this by now, but a magic victory is more difficult now. Research has been greatly slowed and you need to first bind a number of golden wonders. The AI, at least on hard, doesn't even clear one by turn 42.

When you are asked for sector or specific place there is a button under their banner that will show you location. Looks like pale goldish crosshairs.
You can leave your vassals in max vassalage and integr ate latyer as it wont degrade unless your culture vastly differs. Having a stash of Imperium for later was a trap, pre-cost adjustment and now it still does not seem that good.
You actually have 3 signature districts all counting as quarry and benefiting fro more quarries , I suggest placing them in a triangle slightly north-east to your capital using northern quarry as a start and goin in the direction of second brigand camp.
At 1h06m you could have just swapped over usage of some of your sectors over to farms, and then changed them back. I imagine that would satisfy the quest for 3 farms.
You should be able to get 3 or 4 cities if it is a long game, as you can increase the city cap as many times you can afford (the price increase with +300 imperium for every time) In my longest game so far I had a city cap of 8 at turn 100 (but I also started with a city cap of 4)

I have to say it, I really hope to be able to play as a Kirko-like species in the future. Some people rumored that the last DLC might have them. Hopefully they are playable. There aren't many games where you can play as an insectoid.
Are you aware that you can boost buildings after you have started building them? (you even get gold back when you do)

I should probably warn you that the brutal AI has gotten a major (cheating) upgrade as all their units now get +3 defense and resistance

Oh that would make things so much fun
BRUH I was asking on Reddit if the AI got any new major buffs since the new update and everyone was telling me "Oh no they're much easier now since they create less units and more strategic in combat." I told people I felt like their units were way more resistant to damage and everyone acted like I was insane. +3 defense and resistance is crazy!

Hopefully they will shrink the size of the dragon on the map. I find it distracting.
I genuinely do not enjoy the direction AOW has gone, every faction was once unique, it's own strengths and weaknesses, but now it's all the same with a choice of mtx, let alone a branching story.
Shame really.
