Hello everyone and welcome to Age of Wonders 4's third DLC the Primal Fury! The Chosen of the World-Serpent answers the call for my first foray in to the Primal Culture, and I've set up quite the story for this series. If you'd like to skip all of the creation stuff and head right in to the campaign, you can do so at 12:39. I did my best to explain the new stuff but, as always, feel free to ask any questions regarding DLC additions or Wolf Update balance changes. With an oath of companionship made at 1:06:50 and a declaration of displeasure decreed at 1:57:44, the diplomatic lines have already been drawn in the sand, yet three Godir remain in the shadows. Thanks for watching!
A freshly ascended champion, serving some primordial deity... May Magehaven treat you well, little crocodile, and do not let your fellow Godir and us Dragon Lords intimidate you, there are many Pantheons open to those who have a good heart.
I can't wait to be done with university so I can have another proper age of wonders binge. This dlc looks great. If the trend continues eldritch realms will be crazy
Thanks for all the background that you give on the factions you create, it's pretty cool! Also, thanks for the tutorials on the game; I'm always just lost running around, so I appreciate the information and tutelage! :)
Wow this is amazing! I love how much effort you put into creating this world. I'm so exited to see the coming episodes! AoW4 is really getting good too! The developers are doing a fantastic job.
I don't know if you noticed, but the special traits for the free cities say that, if you integrate the city, their special units remain in the rally of lieges, and the city keeps contributing five rally points.
Great vid. Love the D&D theme! 🤓 🐲 🙌. It's weird seeing u play a good guy, been a while. I felt like I could sense moments where the good guy choice was causing u pain 😂
I got idea of terrifying faction, based of this DLC: Lupine Form, Wolf Primal Culture, Prolific Swarmers and Merciless Slavers, the name could be Primal Furries, or something like that.
How about adding Overlord to your AoW4 Campaign Ideas? I recently was commenting on another channel, that Herbivores and Cannibals are hard to roleplay with most Forms, except Rats, Goblins and Orcs, after that I remembered about Halfling King from first Overlord. EVIL ALWAYS FINDS A WAY!
Primal seems ideal for an expansion victory. Nothing like terraforming huge swaths of land to slow enemy armies & give yourself a huge home turf advantage. Having good fun with my pyro-primals game right now burning the whole continent into ashlands. Even if the AI does push me back the land isn't any use to them anymore.
That's certainly true! It's a little unfortunate that you need the Primal Dens to get the auto-terraforming up and running. They haven't been the greatest of spots in this campaign.
For some reason, I feel like the Primal Culture doesn't suit the Beastmen very well, but they'll definitely be appearing as a Barbarian option in future polls. (:
FINAAAALLLLYYYYY Also, I don't know if you'll run into this, but in my first run with the primal stuff after killing a quest stack I couldn't move any units.
@@Fableheim So far i've had two campaigns hardlock brick me through this bug. (Turn 40 something and 70 something.) Reloading old saves and replaying the turns leading up to bug unfortunately does not fix it. So welp.
I'm playing a customized version of the scenario that comes with the dlc. i've got one of those ghost ship spawners nearby that is taking me an entire 3 stacks to clear. i'm trying to evolve some wyverns to help me out a bit. such a PITA
I originally had them set as an Underground Start but I was reading that Moradin had "banished the evil gods of the Derro and Duergar below the surface", so I think that the good/neutral Dwarves are a traditionally overworld race in the Forgotten Realms? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Each character has a foundation within the Forgotten Realms (Dungeons and Dragons's many universes), but I tweak things a little bit to bring them all together in to one glorious campaign. (:
> First turn, everyone heal for +3 stacks > Second turn everyone attack for +2 stacks > Third turn surprise there's 6 As long as you can hold out to the third turn, that does seem like it could be quite the cheese strat, and I do love me some cheese strats. {:
All new stuff will take time to adjust to, but I did build it, right? It's always good to build those early to be on your preferred terrain type, but I don't think there's a reason to straight rush it when your city is small.
Out of curiosity, do you plan to get the Tome of the Stormborne? Because with the whole 'World Serpent' concept about this particular playthrough, it sounds like a very real possibility that yes, you do indeed plan to do just that.
Yes! I will be utilizing both of the new Tomes in their totality. The Naga Transformation is actually very important to this story because of reasons, and I will be making a very big deal out of it. (:
@@michaelschneider1365 this game really isnt that overwhelming. Its pretty straightforward tbh. You really dont need that much time to get the hang of it
you couldve done the safety dance with your mom. if she was range or healer, let the tanks and the melee to do the dance. its less efficient but it works
Hah, Mum was a healer! This was the WotLK version of the safety dance, so I don't think there was a way around participating if you were in the boss room. At least not one that my casual guild knew about. 😅
@@Fableheim usually the tanks and the melee went to the platform where the boss is ( plague bringer i think he was called ) while range and casters scrambled on the floor avoiding the eruptions. my guild sent the range and the casters on the platform and the tanks pulled the boss on the floor doing the dance around the eruptions alongside with the melee - wotlk version of Naxx 25 :)
The main setting for this is derived from Dungeons and Dragons, and Kessessek himself is from an adventure module from 3.5e. The Forgotten Realms are designed to be malleable, so I took a lot of liberty with it. (:
Since Asgorath could fall under the category of overgod like Ao, one could argue that he is stronger than the enigmatic Lady of Pain, but I honestly don't think the two would ever come in to conflict. Asgorath cares only for the greater well-being of Dragons, and the Lady of Pain seemingly only cares about the stability and security of Sigil. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

1:28:00 ah yes, Heigan the Unclean's infamous dance studio. I wonder how many people died there over the years due to bad coordination.
Considering Wrath's insane popularity, my guess would be the very scientific measurement of a "metric f*ck ton". (:

I didn't catch that -- thanks for your keen observation! :D
Love your narration, the intro and the lore. This is a great and fun game. I am now tempted to buy the DLC.
It would be really ironic if Druidic Terraformers doesn't actually affect Swamps.
29:00 Dang it. Was hoping you'd suffer a bit from that.
Lmao, I would have had a good laugh at that, but my spidey senses were tingling that something was off with how quickly I was building. (:
