The fact that people usually just compare the raw vocals with the vocals of songs and say Autotune vs No autotune. Autotune is one effect which pitches the vocal note towards key of the song. There are so many things which make difference like Eq cutting low ends,increasing high end frequencies,delay,reverb,echo,other mic presets like radio,robot,alien type.
People that sound like that without auto tune need to find a better job, I am sorry if I sound like a boomer but back then, there were thousands of amazing singers who didn’t need an artificial voice.

if yall gonna tune a vocal in a track, just manually tune it. it dont gotta be autotune unless you like that sound autotune gives a vocal (since its trying to identify the note and tune it all live). autotune is great but honestly just use newtone in fl or melodyne if youre already happy with your base vocals and want some nice tuning. although i think autotune does work beautifully in a lot of cases.

You can fix it by turning the humanize up I do it so it sounds natural

Autotune doesnt work like magic, you actually need to sing the vowels and bare minimum be in tune.
