You are still a young couple and you have a lot of time in front of you to make your dreams come true. Many American repats who do live in Africa permanently, did not stay as long as they wanted, on their first visit. They returned to America to better prepare and came back to settle for good. So, now that you know what are the challenges you faced in Ghana the first time around as a family, you can prepare better while back in Holland for a more successful return in the future, whether it is 2 or 5 years from now. So, let go the material stuff you got so attached to, and you will be back with more. My advice to you is that you consider creating a business in Ghana, so that you can travel back and forth while still being with your family in Holland. But you need to find reliable people in Ghana to run your business while you are in Holland. That way, you will make enough to purchase of build a house in Ghana while still living in Holland. So, don't worry, you are doing wonderful. I am glad you are back in Ghana and getting the blessings of the sun and healing from depression, before going back to your family. But, as your husband said, don't worry about giving your things away. You will replace them and love your new things as much as those you gave away. Just think more of a plan to make Ghana home while still living in Holland. And you can do so, if you have a business in Ghana. Think of a restaurant for example, that will provide great customer service as in Holland. Or maybe of exporting things from Ghana to Holland like Cocoa, for chocolate. Or products in Holland that are not easily available in Holland. That way, you can increase your family earning while enjoying being in both places, Ghana and Holland by travelling back and forth for business.

Hi Anna please put everything in storage..I was in the same predicarment 6 years ago in Kenya..was leaving for Aus and couldnt decide whether to give the stuff away or keep..my husband said we keep it..so we borrowed one room at my MIL place..we built our house in Kenya 5 years later..and we did not have money left over initially to furnish it after the construction so the first two years we used the stuff we has stored in my MIL house including curtains, TV and cooker you name it we had it..Your time will come..wishing you all the best and sending you lots of love💞💕
Soo sorry it didn’t work out...prepare properly and come back please. We moved to Ghana a year ago...so far so good with the help of God. It’s best if you establish a business of your own than working for someone (my opinion)
One step at à time. Now you know where your heart feels happy.... Build your dream one step at a time, allow your children to finish school in Holland in the main time. Build a business enabling you to travel back and forth every four months or so...
Hi Anna you took me through the roller coaster of emotions today some sadness some laughter. Oh Anna never change okay because what you speak out what other might think off. You are a breath of fresh air, wish you Kevin and the kiddies all the best life can give🥰🥰🥰
Awww Anna, I feel your sadness. You have a good head on your shoulders. Ghana feels like home to you but Africa is such that you never say goodbye... You just say, see you again soon. The west and western types of life fills you with stuff... And that is what seems to fill the void until you set it aside to find out where your heart is. Your heart is Ghana Anna. Treasure your memories and see you soon... Signed Mama Africa.
Just give the items away, Anna! So many people are much less fortunate than you, and they will truly appreciate it. You will be rewarded ten fold! Also, I am sorry that things did not work out for you... hopefully, in the future, you will finally be able to create the life that you want.♥️
Thanks for posting I’m currently furnishing my house in Gambia so this is food for thought. So far I’ve just sourced things locally and also now embracing a minimalist lifestyle so seeing your videos tells me I’m doing the right thing. Just focusing on getting the basics….My thought is if I need to move back in the future I can just sell the property turn key with the locally sourced furniture etc. Its still looking good even though of course you wouldn’t have the choice of items you would if you shipped everything. Wish you well on your new journey I’m sure you will make it back to Ghana one day..
Anna, just know they all are all THINGS! I certainly understand that we want to hold on to things we think we need! Yes, I know you enjoy Ghana and the warm temps etc! Home is where your heart is and your children & hubby is what you truly need wherever you live! You can replace things not people. You had the experience of Ghana in 2 yrs and keep your hope & dream of living in Ghana. Live life wherever you are.. So not let it live you. Safe return to your family and soon Spring will come !
So cheap to bring to the continent. Expensive to send to Europe. These are the policies that have been key to frustrate trade from Africa to the West. Anyway, we will make our own and buy our own. Anna, you will make it through this. Have peace oo. Oluwa knows the desires of your heart. He will make them beautiful in their right time. Enjoy the rest of your stay in Ghana.
I have a feeling you will return because Ghana is where your heart is and the Abba i know can and will bless His people. Just watch!!!!! Blessings ahead, believe my sister. Do they have storage units in Ghana or can you buy a shed and store things in family's back yard inside shed? Moth balls with proper vent will help keep special things you want to keep, no leather. Ive' been storing my things for over six years now in a climate control with no problems. If there is no storage units maybe that could start a business, they making a lot nowadays. Start with a small one then build on as the business goes. I don't believe in staying somewhere I'm not comfortable or don't like anymore bc it vex my spirit. Much Love. Stay focus and your dreams will come true, my Real Estate Mantra is "Reach for the Sky.".
There are many families like yours in exactly the same position. Trying to move and make it work in Ghana... Keep planning!! Maybe try to store your stuff somewhere if possible then you can use it all when / if you return.
Hi Anna!! Bless your heart🤗🤗. Everything is going to be alright. I think this is building up momentum to get something mega in Ghana going. You guys are saying that's it. Wait and see what we are going to establish. I can feel it. It's happy and you definitely got a fan base rooting you on. Very very nice guys🤗🤗❤. Please keep coming out with more vlogs!!
The reality is...its difficult relocating back to Ghana when one has kids...i leave in Germany with my husband and we also have plans to gp back home...but the problem is..our KIDS...they are still young and truth is education level in Ghana is not that strong and its soo expensive. Here in Germany medicals and education is not a headache.. So before one decides to relocate to Ghana, one has to plan very very well...its not easy as it seems...but dont loose Hope...when your kids are old enough to be on their own, you can come back to invest.
Anna , sterkte hoor meid But please don't be to reactive... Things change fast... It just depends on what you guys really want.. It is about making a serious decesion and commit to it... But you guys have to figure out what you really want and make it work.... I just wish you would have stayed and put up the fight!! I'm in a likewise position... But not to frustrate my kids I decided to stick it out.which is not easy... And I'm not blaming you for leaving.... I simpatise with you guys I wish to see Kevin the way I saw him strong and shining when you were here.... Don't be offended by my words.. All from a.place of 💕 and understanding.... You guys are a team and that's why you can make it anywhere... Just make up your mind love Brasa I guess you're never be coming around for the pom.en pastei..🤔...hmmm Geeft niet hoor you're forgiven... Stay strong Muaah 😘
Ana its just material things and not worth anything. Just give it away people need it. And don,t think about it . Thats life , u move on and the fact that u r giving it to people who actually need it is a blessing. U can aquire new things in the netherlands. Next time plan before u go to ghana . Thats what ghanaians do, they work hard, work doubles , do a lot of overtime , aquire land ,build a house, start a buissiness ,they make sure they r financially ready before they move to ghana If u were born in ghana and experienced hardship u would have known before moving . They r material things give it away. Now u know ghana life soo and kevin can start by aquiring land first and building a house. And when u go back to the Netherlands u get a job and start planing for ghana.
Anna, don't beat yourself for choices you and your family made. Be grateful for the memories you all created. Many people would love to trade places with you just to immerse in the Ghana experience. Remember, unlike many, you have options. Hold your head up as this too shall pass.
I remember you complaining about pimples in your last video . While you’re in Ghana get some Black soap and Shea butter. It works amazing for acne and the Shea butter is great for hair growth. As well as black castor oil. Hope this helps! 🦋❤️☺️😇
@@LovePeaceJoy17 yes you can. I even mixed mine with other essential oils like peppermint and tree tree or even lavender oil and my hair grew like crazy. Google essentials oil for hair growth and skin care and you can make your own mix ❣️☺️🦋
Anna, I've learned that airlines offer cost effective Cargo services. I would ask if they still provide Cargo & have them move special belongings & store few barrels with family, you can get incense & charcol from Muslims to absorb odors. Giving away things that don't serve you is good too. Please don't sweat the small stuff too much, that feeds depression & anxiety which also affects viewers. We are here to UPLIFT you when possible, You've learned so much during your time in Ghana, probably enough to decide on buying an affordable vacation home or attract the right land to build on. You have enough like minded friends in Ghana to buy land together & build an estate with parking, pool, playground.
I'm Namibian🇳🇦, I had been following since you came to Ghana, and your story is one of the few inspirational stories about moving from the diaspora to Ghana, and now going back, I can feel you especially leaving most of your staff yes it isn't an easy thing to do, however it's the best thing to do. Giving opens up doors for bigger things. All the best dearest ❤️🙏🙏
Hello Anna 😄❤️❤️ you did not smile and be happy in this Video. Try not to let things stress you too much. You will get better things and the house in Ghana is yours too. Put it out in the universe. The Most High have so many wonderful praises for you and your Family ❤️❤️❤️
I listen to your stories and It's clear you're better off in Ganaha, you showed that for your health and peace of mind Ganaha is the country to be in. You're leaving but Wish you didn't just give up so soon. Remember, where their's a will their's a way.
Anna u could ask yr Unt store some things, at a later stage after some thought u can decide, if u decide to sell them or give them to yr Unt later than do so, dnt make rash decisions.
Thank you for sharing your mistakes (lessons learned)🙏🏼 Very useful advice. I hope you find a way to part with your things without sadness. It'll be okay. ❤
Hi. You should have just gave to others what you don't want and ask friends and family to hold on to those things you will come back for. They are just things that can be replaced and you can always make new memories. Take it one day at a time. Life is about experiences. Enjoy your life don't worry about things. 😊
Sweetheart now that you know the challenges, you will come back prepared and live in the motherland for good. All the best to you and your family 👪 ❤ 🙌
Ana, it's a learning experience. You wouldn't want those stuff in 5 years. They would be outdated in 5 years. You could also give them to people who sells second hand stuff.
Oh Anna, don’t feel sad, I know it’s hard but I’m so so proud of you and your amazing beautiful family. You have all given us an honest picture of what it is to relocate to Ghana. The Good, the bad and the ugly, especially those of us overseas. Thank you so much for being so honest. Hold on to that dream of you owning a home in Ghana. It might not take those many years as you think. I will pray for your family as you go back to Holland, and will continue to follow your beautiful family on TH-cam. God Bless you always 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Every day if you find at least five things to be grateful for maybe you won’t be complaining over everything just be thankful you have life and your family many of us don’t have that privilege, sometimes I don’t want to watch your videos because I end up being so sad
Shis not complaining, people are open to share their worry's ND thoughts ND it helps whilst others will be suffering in silence whilst pretending all us well. We all cope in our own ways, it's clear to see she longs to live in Ghana ND us a little depressed about it. At some point she will cope with what lufe throws at her but for now allow her to face her emotions ND stop telling her off, let her be. There's the saying "do not kick a dog when it's down"..I just wish I could give her a hug ND tell her it will be alright. Human beings are not all the same in temperament. It's healthier to let out your emotions than harbour them, ND who knows someone may just understand her ND feel for her.
@@tombimashri8149 we cant tell her what to do but I do agree she complains a lot. She was doing that when they lived here and I was also sad to see her do it again in this trip to Ghana. Maybe Im wrong but the way I see it Ghana is not for her and to be honest there’s nothing wrong with that. She grew up in a western world and is used to those standards.
I am happy because l live in Finland l am planning to move back to Namibia. I buy sofa, bed, second hand which is 80/100 euros for 5years. I never buy a new bed for 400 when l know l cannot use it for 10 years. I do not buy so much clothes. I rather spend a lot of money in food s. I pray you keep your staffs. there in storage.
Awww, don't be sad Anna...we live and learn...keeping my fingers crossed for you to make your millions and you'll be back one day to Ghana, and your woes will be just a distant memory 💜
Hello Anna...you are a strong woman..and courageous enough to share with us your up and downs...may God bless you and your family...I know you are both doing your best for your family...but take it step by step...I know Finances can be tight but we are all moving through life dear Sis...much Love.
I wish you good luck and travel mercies to Holland. However, I'm very sad that you're leaving us. We are happy you short stint in Ghana feels what you feel for now. Please go and enjoy your family life with your children and could return anytime you want.
I really feel your situation, I've seen some affordable 2 and 3 bedroom houses on Wode Maya's channel, I guess with the right contacts and arrangements, you can buy one on hire purchase / mortgage and pay monthly over the years. Alternatively, if you have a family member or friend you can trust, who has space on their compound, you can ask to build a garage to keep your belongings there until you build your own home. I'm sure you can build a garage for less than $5,000 USA. It's not too late to buy a land and start building your own home, which you can build like 2 houses on the same plot and and you can rent out one for dollars. Why would you ship your belongings back to Europe, or give them away and then, when you return to Ghana in the future, you may need to buy those belongings again? And do you have enough space in the Netherlands to store those belongings? Best of luck.
Moving to Africa is a big risk, most African countries are not stable. everything is expensive, specially renting a home it takes almost all the money. Other things in Africa doesn't work properly, the system is slow and very corrupted. Third, there's no much work opportunity going on. I have known few people who have worked hard in America and Europe saved lots of money then went back to Africa, but just after a year they returned with no money and things didn't work up for them up there. My dear Anna be strong, things will work out for you, at least you tried the experience and reality of African countries. Good luck 🤞 fingers crossed everything will work out for you in Holland.
To GO to Africa with a lot of money and to be broke after is a no sense. Once your house is built for cheap why you need to GO broke you only have food ,electricity and water to pay right ? No taxes like in occident ...i dont get it or i miss something
The entire Continent has not been independent for a century. I am hopeful, very hopeful about the Continent. The Continent has *Sooo* much potential and youth who understand the potential
@Tiger of Truth idk if it affordable S.A i don t think so and crime rate is huge. Xenophobia too....i mean even kongo is better ( not talking about modernity and jobs ) : greenery , food , happy resilient people etc ...but whites with some of our own traitors, black leaders came to sabotage my country to make sure no one will reach those diamonds and Coltan of us
@Tiger of Truth racism is a big issue in South Africa so don’t think you’re correct in that…even though I agree with majority of your comments…SA is an affordable, livable developing country& yes quite westernised and most developed on continent so it tends to be liberal with general human rights & have clear laws on property ownership & civil liberties etc, so many westerners find it easier to settle here but it has plenty issues too& most is due to high levels of economic inequality that is based on racial lines due to apartheid legacy. So SA is a work in progress like rest of continent with some of the similar issues but also different issues. African Americans will face racism in SA too because they are Black& POC as white SAns who are racist just are very disgustingly so& anyone not white is disregarded by them as they genuinely believe they have a sole birthright to SA (thankfully the rabid racists aren’t majority of white population in SA but the ones that are “good” whites can also be unaware of how privileged and borderline racist they can be) but BA ppl won’t face xenophobia in SA because American identity will cushion them to be seen as non threatening migrants& not desperate economic migrants, as a lot of xenophobia in SA is mostly towards poor immigrants from rest of Africa & Asia(Pakistanis, Bangladeshis & also Chinese etc) face when there are civic riots in the areas they do business in which are usually the poorer areas of SA & doubt that’s where BAs with means will settle. So xenophobia in SA has hallmarks of scramble for limited resources eg employment amongst the poor in the country and these will be mostly be between Black SAns& overwhelming majority of African economic migrants. But also not every Black American qualifies to be in SA permanently beyond 3 months short term visa, only those with SA government gazetted scarce skills & academic qualifications and real business investment in SA, could qualify for working& investment visas. so SA isn’t an answer for BAs with no skills because they’ll struggle to find work in medium-long term as their savings run out…SA has high unemployment rate. Crime is a reality in SA for sure but also wouldn’t say absolutely the worst out there…think in general as SA we actually track our crime stats obsessively& have constant media discussions about it that it’s a lot of excessive negative news reporting than crime being the worst here. Racism in SA is however worse than the crime in my view & SA white owned media tends to under report racism but the very vocal& active Black SA majority isn’t also allowing it go unreported & few cases where white ppl are in jail for hate crimes (vile racists basically) can be locked up in SA…so that’s the good bit for BA to know they’ll be amongst majority, so even when racism happens, you’ll be heard& there are laws protecting you. Also we don’t have police brutality targeting& killing black ppl on the daily…police can be brutal here but mostly poor job performance than a deep systematic policing culture and it’s limited incidents rather than an agenda to kill Black ppl like in US. Also what will help BA settle is that generally if they are informed and not coming with think they are superior attitudes, Black SAns and I’d say and some sections of Coloured communities do like Black Americans due to finding so much of their music& feeling a civil rights& fighting against apartheid bond…Black SA & Namibians are possibly the only ppl on continent who IS Black before tribe or African…that is what apartheid did, brought Black ppl closer in their communities so that’s also similarity with BA that’s not lost on many of Black SA. Im South African born, raised & resident all my life so this is what I’ve observed and experienced over the years. Personally I don’t know any Americans but we had an exchange student in our high school 4 years ago but they were white American. So SA isn’t better or perfect than any other African country but just about what’s your reason for moving to Africa…if it’s ancestral ties then west Africa makes most sense as Black American ancestors were stolen from west & central Africa & barely east or Southern Africa…don’t really have ancestors traceable to South Africa. but if you’d like to soft land in Africa without too much culture shock, yeah SA isn’t a bad choice for transition. Think Kenya is an option too. I’d say Morocco too, been there few times& ppl are welcoming & they think we all Mandela related which is ridiculous of course but it’s nice and also developed but religion is mainly Islam so some of the middle eastern influences might be culture shocking. Anyway just my thoughts
It was worth it Anna that's what money affords you, look through it and sell some or do what you can.You had what wanted around you.it never was a waste
The last part of this blog was so sad, I hear you Anna, don’t worry, there will be a more beautiful time in the future where you and your family can start again in Ghana, it’s always there waiting for you sista ❤️xx
Hi Anna , just take it easy. That's the journey of life and it shall be well with you. I wish one day you'll fullfil your dream of having a home of your own and family in Ghana. You are still young and believe that the world has so much to give. Wishing you all the best 💖.
I have been in your shoes before. I had to give away and start life afresh. Not easy but giving away was a blessing to other people and they still have some of those things.
You have every right to feel bad leaving your stuff in Gh, after all purchased it with your money. I can understand your feelings cuz I've been through a similar situation.
Anna it's understandable how you feel. Memory's are healthy, the things you have are material things they can be replaced they served the purpose and now they can serve someone else's needs. Know that you can get new things when you return, like you and your family saved and plan, remember you can do it again. Like you mention know in the future what you will need. Just take one day at a time because each day has its own anxiety.
Please, can`t you sell the clothes to a second-hand- shop in Ghana? Find out the possibility and get rid of the clothes.Transporting them back to Holland will be too expensive.
Think of Ghana as your holiday destination for now remenber all the negative points you had about living in Ghana! Netherlands is not that bad it's just now with all the restrictions but hopefully that will improve your loved ones are in Holland and happy no? Don't dwell on it or you'll go down the depression road one day it will all be right for ALL of you all the best and keep smiling 😊 xx
Anna nice seeing this video living in the 🇺🇸🇺🇸 peace of advise you and Kevin are still young couple start by buying the land @ your favorite location fence it and start building your dream house there's saying Rome wasn't built in a day Look at your father's house in Togo he's still building it It takes time if you are not Born with a silver spoon in your mouth ( meaning Rich)
The best and cheapest way to bring thimgs from Ghana is connect with people who are constant travellers..then you buy 1 luggage from them and they bring your stuffs bit by bit...its like 100 € to 150€ per 32kg
I just wish your government would come up with funded programs that will help you move back, start a business and provide funding. I pray thinks work out for you and sending love ❤
Life is movement. There are many other areas in Africa. So just go ahead and keep in mind that what does not kill you makes you stronger. Remember money is just a mean, not Life. Should you better manage your income and budget. Thanks for sharing this moment and memories.Take good care
Anna I wish I was rich, I would Ve helped you make your dreams come true, you r a good family. God Bless you He knows your desires ND he will grant you ND yr fam what he knows is best for you, God always has a reason for the final say ND his Will is the Best. It is well

A dream deferred is not a dream denied. One day you will be able to have that home in Ghana you desire. Hang in there sis ❤️

Put them in storage, or send them to your village in Togo, your father's house. It will be safe there. Perhaps shipping from Togo will be cheaper

I might be a good idea to have a minimalist approach to things while all this mess is going on.

I’m sad it didn’t work out! I enjoyed seeing you guys’ journey. But Gods timing is the best timing. The opportunity may be even better in the future.
Anna , sterkte hoor meid
But please don't be to reactive...
I simpatise with you guys
I wish to see Kevin the way I saw him strong and shining when you were here....
Don't be offended by my words..
All from a.place of 💕 and understanding....
You guys are a team and that's why you can make it anywhere...
Just make up your mind love
Brasa
I guess you're never be coming around for the pom.en pastei..🤔...hmmm Geeft niet hoor you're forgiven...
Stay strong
Muaah 😘
🇬🇭✊🏿🇬🇭 Awww don't worry, You will be free to come back home when your children grow up. Home sweet home 😘
It’s from the Masks she has to wear back in Holland- Maskne
I get it too and it finally cleared when the requirement was lifted in the US last summer
@@doubtingthomas3023 she had it b4 going back to Holland. She referred to it a few times in her videos before moving back.
@Taiwo Omotosho maybe it s hormonal it will GO try Aloe Vera . Coco oil gives me acne too
A black charcoal mask did away with my acne problem. Just leave on for a few minutes and peel.
You have enough like minded friends in Ghana to buy land together & build an estate with parking, pool, playground.
everything is gonna be alright. trust me.
Anna i think u should give all the stuffs away. Hopefully Kevin will get a job and u will be able to buy everything back.
Ghana that’s the correct spelling
Nice video.
Kudos to Kevin, he works quietly away in the background to "make things happen".
Safe trip back Hannah.
Your moments and memories are most important. Gift others and it comes back in other ways. Find joy in the circle of life.
*I've been following your family's journey. You're an inspiration to many. Wish you success in what you do out there* 😊
I am happy because l live in Finland l am planning to move back to Namibia. I buy sofa, bed, second hand which is 80/100 euros for 5years. I never buy a new bed for 400 when l know l cannot use it for 10 years. I do not buy so much clothes. I rather spend a lot of money in food s. I pray you keep your staffs. there in storage.
I pray for abundant financial blessings for your family in the Netherlands, so you can put up a mansion in Ghana.
Anna be a joyful giver. When you give you reap back multiple folds 100% guaranteed.
Awww, don't be sad Anna...we live and learn...keeping my fingers crossed for you to make your millions and you'll be back one day to Ghana, and your woes will be just a distant memory 💜
Your hair is very nice, please tell me what does the woman who make your hair use on it the product please so I can use it for my kids hair.
It shall be well Ann don’t worry take care of yourself and your family God will direct your steps, good luck
Xenophobia too....i mean even kongo is better ( not talking about modernity and jobs ) : greenery , food , happy resilient people etc ...but whites with some of our own traitors, black leaders came to sabotage my country to make sure no one will reach those diamonds and Coltan of us
Oh paliz Africa is our home and we love it.
If you gonna look for faults you gonna find many eventually.
No place like home 🙏
If the things don't have sentinels values bless others with them because you going to a place of abundance and you can replace all of them .
Yes... im livin in germany..sometimes im in Holland top.. but the lockdown know is horrible
We will miss you and the entire family.
Need some peace... I feel way too much pain and distress in all of the videos lately. This is heartbreaking 🥺 please get real help...
😂😂😂😂
Anna it's understandable how you feel. Memory's are healthy, the things you have are material things they can be replaced they served the purpose and now they can serve someone else's needs. Know that you can get new things when you return, like you and your family saved and plan, remember you can do it again. Like you mention know in the future what you will need.
Just take one day at a time because each day has its own anxiety.
Put them in storage at a friend or family members house.
Sad that things did not work out for you guys. Wish you well.See you later
It will get better Anna. God dey‼️
Awww Anna you are leaving Ghana again. Pls l want some of the things oooo
Please, can`t you sell the clothes to a second-hand- shop in Ghana? Find out the possibility and get rid of the clothes.Transporting them back to Holland will be too expensive.
I forgot to say, this is how I wear my hair too, natural curls. Over the summer I got two cousins to go natural curls too! You look lovely!
.....Hello nice people..
Sending our greetings to all the viewers.
Hoping for peace and success for you.

The best and cheapest way to bring thimgs from Ghana is connect with people who are constant travellers..then you buy 1 luggage from them and they bring your stuffs bit by bit...its like 100 € to 150€ per 32kg
Sad to see you leave, you should just give it away!❤️🙏🏽I hope you come back soon and live in Ghana, you can build your house!❤️

I think the shipping cost from Netherlands you talked about will be pre-covid. It is not the same cost now.
Life is movement. There are many other areas in Africa. So just go ahead and keep in mind that what does not kill you makes you stronger. Remember money is just a mean, not Life. Should you better manage your income and budget. Thanks for sharing this moment and memories.Take good care
