Thanks to everyone! Keep an eye on kickstarter.com for the launch!
The solid green viewing mode was blown out when the video was converted; it should look more like the white version.

I can`t believe what your did, what is the precision of your 3D model? I`m checking out all the solutions I can find (attached to the iphone, etc) and they all are about 1mm sharp.

When will the app be on the market? (IOS store). And I think a second laser would be amazing!

I can't wait for the android version. Next one I need is a cheap 3D printer :o)

can you export the3d model into another 3D Software for rendering?

how can i get this software, and the green laser?
Is the turn table synced to anything or is it independently spinning? And does it need to be leveled more than a simple houshold "bubble level" 's accuracy?
Is this availiable for android and where can i find it?
Can a second laser be added, to make a crosshair pattern or an "X"? Would this help the scanning resolution at all?
Can i then turn this file into an STL file for 3d printing, and would this method provide me with a 1:1 scaling ratio scan of my original product? roughly 1:1 (3d printing leaves a texture and is understandable)? I am trying to print a replica handgun, for training purposes, it needs to be as accurate as possible, to simulate the real one. Not professionally tho, thsi is just for fun and safety.
Please answer as many of my questions as you can, as you are one of my only hopes as far as your demonstration goes. Thanks for your video, it was badass :)

The software is available on the iOS app store.
The turn table is turning at a constant speed. In the app, you trim the recording so it contains one full revolution, and the app splits up the frames so it knows how far each frame is rotated. Household bubble level accuracy should be fine.
This isn't available for android yet, unfortunately. If there was enough interest I would work on it.
Currently you cannot add a second laser. Combining two meshes is just a bit too much work for a mobile device.
With the pro version, your scans are automatically exported to the iTunes share folder, so you can pull it off with iTunes. (Easiest solution at the time of the app.)

Why is there a size limit to what you can scan? I am interested in this, but would like to scan larger things.

The size is really dependent on the strength/thinness of the laser line and the size of your camera sensor.

Wondering if you can use a construction level laser to pinch hit for a regular laser?

As long as its green, it should work!

where can I download this app for Android

Its only available for iOS at the moment. If there was a lot of android interest, I would consider an android version, but its a lot of work.
