My first luxury candle was Diptyque Feu De Bois but I quickly realized that I don’t like fire/smoke smells so it was an epic fail but that experience did not stop me from digging deeper to find candle fragrances that I enjoy. 2 yrs later and I am without a doubt a warm amber/ Oud/tobacco candle kinda of gal with a splash of White florals. The world of candles has become so fascinating to me, I walk into a store and I head for the candle section, but what I have come to realized is that, there are candles and there are “ candles” Once you go down the luxury rabbit hole there is no turning back. :(
Diptyque Baies. Being able to experience that level of candle, helped me understand the quality I needed to pursue when I started my own luxury candle company. You are right about waxes also. I prefer an all-natural candle wax and that is why I chose a Coconut Soy blend. Great video as always. Keep up the good work!
My first luxury candle was Bibliotheque by Byredo! I remember opening the box for the first time; it was the best thing I ever smelled in my life! It makes feel like a college student studying in a library back in the renaissance days. I try my best to light it only on special days, but it’s so irresistible! I actually got the brand reco from you, so thanks for introducing me to the world of Byredo :)
After watching some of your videos, I blind bought speakeasy from Harlem candle co. I thought I was only a fan of sweet vanilla scents, but this candle made me fall in love with woodsy vanilla scents!! Although it may have been extensive research and overall luck, I see myself blind buying many more fragrances in the future.
My first experience with luxury candles was buying my partner Cire Trudon Madurai. I had never been interested in candles but that candle changed everything! The last thing I needed was another expensive hobby!
Hey There! I don’t know what rock i’ve been hiding under but I just found you on TH-cam. I’m about to start a candle collection and was doing research and found you your information is phenomenal!!! Just wanted to say Thank You!!
Great video. I’ve found it helpful to order a brand’s discovery/try me candles where I get to choose a few mini tins to help me test out new scents. That small investment has helped me make wise candle-buying decisions., especially when buying a luxury candle.
Great video as always. My first luxury candle was Baies by Diptyque. I had gone into the boutique to purchase a gift for a loved one, and ended up buying that candle for myself too.
This is a great video even for those of us that have bought luxury candles…these are great tips! You have a great channel & I’m so excited for this 2nd video since your return after relocating! Hope all is well on the west coast!
Happy Sunday Rekeema, I'm so Happy for my online candle making classes And Happy to find your Luxury Candle Channel . These candles are high end some of which I can not pronounce the names lol PeAcE
Totally agree with physically shopping on site. Discovered PF candles from your channel and visited the shop in San Francisco. Love Teakwood & Tobacco and excited to burn other scents. Thank you 😊
This is perfect timing. Thankfully I already know what kind of scents to looks for being that I absolutely loves colognes and fragrances. One unfortunate thing though is that I love in Columbus Ohio and there are no stores besides yankee candle 🤢
Harlem Candle Co is still my fav and Lomar Farms candles is second. I need to try some more Evermore candles. Maybe one day I will try Cire Trudon, maybe 🙂👍🏾.
I don't know if this qualifies as a luxury candle but my 1st was Aloha Bay, the Chakra Energy Candle in the scent Healing. It's a pale green in a clear tall glass cylinder with a sticker on its front top to bottom. As it burns you can see the light through the Chakra symbol and the word healing at the top. It is very helpful for meditation and mindfulness thinking which is something I use my candles for on a regular if not daily basis.
I love to wear fragrances like Killian’s love don’t be shy, many of the de Marley fragrances, liquid, aluminous blanche bete, creed, House of Bo, bond number nine and several others. I don’t care for masculine or unisex fragrances on my person, but I absolutely love them in my environment. Masculine, leaning candles are some of my favorites, although I like citrus and fruity as well. But if it has tobacco, oud, leather, pine, cedar, rosewood, rose, etc.. Those are the scent profiles I tend to gravitate towards. B
My introduction to luxury candles was Cire Trudon’s Madeleine (my all time fave) as well as Jo Malone’s Pomegranate Noir. They say your first love lasts forever and though my wallet is a lot lighter for trying, I’ve never found a more intoxicating scent than either of these. Open to any suggestions though.
Madeleine is my all time favorite luxury candle. It seems perfect in absolutely every way possible. If I only had to choose one candle to burn forever, hands down it would be Madeleine.
@@DetailedDream thanks for answering - I was just checking your new jack black video lol - I was thinking you probably didnt know the brand. I know one of the store managers of one of the shops and wondered what your opinion was.
What was your first luxury fragrance??
Harlem Candle Co. Josephine.
My first luxury candle was Diptyque Pois de Senteur (Sweet Pea), I bought it way back in the 90's :) Sadly discontinued a long time ago :/
Jo Malone
Diptyque Tubereuse
The Lenox candle by Harlem Candle was my first luxury candle.

Id like you to make a video on each type of waxes! I think it'll be a great one

This is amazing news! Hearing things like this makes me very happy! Especially when its an amazing brand like Byredo!

Trudon is really a great first experience! After a Trudon you can never look at candles the same lol.

Thanks ma!!! ❤❤❤

Baies was actually the very first luxury candle i received!

Candle making classes sounds fun!
Love your videos. Much love from Berlin 🇩🇪
My first candle was Tokyo by Diptyque
Thats a good one! My very first was Baies

Teakwood & Tobacco is an amazing go to! ❤
Great video!
Thank you!!
Love your videos! Have you ever tried Linnea Candle Company? I just purchased my first one and I’m really enjoying it.
This is perfect timing. Thankfully I already know what kind of scents to looks for being that I absolutely loves colognes and fragrances. One unfortunate thing though is that I love in Columbus Ohio and there are no stores besides yankee candle 🤢
Its a good feeling when getting to the point where you can smell something just from reading whats in it. Yankee candle is a different story! lol
Harlem Candle Co is still my fav and Lomar Farms candles is second. I need to try some more Evermore candles. Maybe one day I will try Cire Trudon, maybe 🙂👍🏾.
Harlem Candle Co is really a staple. The quality is top tier for sure!

Wallet being lighter.. I get it listening to this guy.. I'm at 500 in about a month 😂😂😂
I have discovered with candles if you want luxury scents you have to be prepared to pay extra for them, you can't stint on the price with luxury.
Byredo - Carosel
This was such a good video… I think my first “luxury” candle might have been a FORVRMood set. Thanks for sharing 💕
I definitely have to give FRVR another go around for the gourmand scents!
👏👏👏
Great video! Question: if you do buy on line, do you buy from the candle manufacturer website or use a candle retail store website?
Thanks! I would go with whatever is more convenient with shipping costs or percentage off.
@@DetailedDream thank you!
Could you do a video of lists of luxury brands? I didn't know it was ever luxury candles.
What do you think of the Belgian candle brand Baobab? Which has stores in Belgium - paris and London?
Baobab has very good candles with great scent performance. This is a review that's long overdue.

I really want to buy a Trudon diffuser but I'm so worried about dropping a ton of money for something I think is a subpar scent.
Great presentation, new subscriber.
great video! what are your thoughts on Archipelago Botanicals?
What do you think of the candle brand Paddywax?
My boy dropping back to back!
Now what we going to do about that afro?
He's probably 'wolfing' to get those deep ocean waves. 👍🏾
Yes, im in my wolfing stage lol. Trying to define the waves a bit more.
