Hi Jan. Take care if you decide to buy umbrella plants. The roots are very invasive and in some areas are declared noxious weeds. I live in SE Qld sp I’m not sure about the Sydney area. They are best kept in pots with saucers rather than in the ground.
Nice video, I like how you touched on the ethical issues with mass produced plants for large corporations like Bunnings, and the way it makes it very difficult for smaller growers and sellers to make a living. Also on the size and diversity of Australia - it gets properly cold here in SW Vic lol - heavy frosts, frozen water troughs, not that many houseplants are happy outside here over winter lol.

One of those begonia's looks like it could glow in the dark so gorgeous. Australia gets some nice houseplants that I have never seen. I have 2 begonias, 1 in water and 1 in soil. I would love those peperomias.
You & AJ should have a TH-cam channel; doesn’t have to be all plant related…just you both hanging out, laughing, joking & being silly is perfect. You guys ALWAYS make my day. Btw, I have only one plant that looks as if it was grown by Sydney Plant Guy…it’s a huge spider plant with loads of stems with pups; I have to put it on a stand by itself as it’s too heavy to hang. I hated them, but the way it’s grown is beautiful.. try one Jan!

Like you guys have a field of El Salvador, while in Belgium (even in whole Europe) you can't find ANY 😢 The Pilea peperomioides is so very common here, you just have to give them away cause they're not worth much (moneywise). Fun fact; we call them "pannenkoekenplant" = "Pancake plant", do you guys call them something similar? Same with the Chlorophytum comosum, super super common around here. That one we call "graslelie" = "grass lily" while in English it's called a "spider plant" The Aeschynanthus "Black Pagoda" is my absolute favorite lipstickplant! I had a tiny little cutting, in one year it became a full hanging plant 🥰 The Rhipsalis also is such a easy to care for plant that just explodes in a short time 😁 I'm so happy for you to have a friend take you to a wholesaler/nursery, I would be in heaven 😍 The Philo martianum was a wishlistplant for a long time and now I finally have him!! Don't understand that one isn't more popular 🤷♀️ You guys keep up the good work! Always excited for new videos 😊

I had no idea about that "poop" batch of PPP a few yrs ago! I got mine around that time in the US and it does that exact thing no matter the conditions I give it (more or less light, higher or lower humidity). I thought I was just crap at growing it 😢Good to know it's not just me.
What’s with potting turtles or pearls with ferns? Can that actually be successful? I have a tough time believing it would work long term, AJ has the best smile 😊

Not sure about the name of the variety , no sure if it even has a name. Begonianis a very messy genus. It’s some type of rex :)
