Another type of harassment is listening to gossip from people who don't like the tenant. Giving access to people into the tenants apartment without consent of the tenant.

One form of harassment I later realized was harassment started after a dumpster Incident when I had a little bit of trash in a dumpster that was on the property. No notice a dumpster was even coming or any warning not to use it. I left a little bit of trash, just a very small bag in the dumpster and didn't know the landlord was actually a dumpster diver. He yelled at me in such a way. I felt threatened at that time. didn't know I wasn't supposed to use a dumpster that was in the drive. I later found out he was cleaning out the upstairs apartment. But when the pick-up day came, there was more than plenty of room to have left my trash in that dumpster. He climbed in that dumpster comma took out that little bit of trash and put it back near my porch. Short, shortly after that incident, when he was mowing the lawn, he suddenly started acting in a way. He never acted before against some items that have always been in the same spot against the building with absolutely no issues. He gathered up my storage barrels that were on a concrete slab against the building well out of the way and he threw them into appile outside my porch, knocking over my tomato plant that ended up coming up 2 days later. He's never acted this way before. And there's never been an issue. plus I had another outdoor item in the same spot for quite a number of years, longer than I had the storage barrels. Now he's harassing me about that. Now that the barrels are out of his way. regarding the barrel incident. He kept at me acknowledging that he knew my porches were full And that he needed the barrels off the lawn. I didn't have no other choice at that time but to just get rid of the barrels. one of them went to a friend and the other. I told the landlord he could have, or he can give it to someone in need as long as he or someone needs it. I just did that to get him off my back because I didn't really have no other choice. I thought that would be the end of it until he started on me about another item that was outside much longer, over which he already previously threatened. Now that he called on me to sign a rent increase form , he later used the opportunity of our visit to bring up the other outdoor item I've had for years with no issue. the item is in use as I explained, there were 4 different purposes. It was serving and it's being used. well, now he wants to cut it in half. And make a new one, but if I ever decide to use the item for its original intended purpose, I won't be able to if I allow the project. He asked me during my resistance about the idea. How would I feel about moving, and I wish I would have been recording it. I actually saved previous texts and phone calls in my recents log . he threatened that if I don't work with him that I won't be able to live here, and he's got absolutely no legal grounds whatsoever to evict. That's because i've always been a good tenant and always paid my rent. If there's ever a hiccup, I always correct it in a timely manner, but it's extremely rare I've always been in the same spot for decades, so I'm a long time renter. I've never had a real mess in my place, just a lot of stuff, clean stuff. I've cleaned it out and maintained it better. Landlord has never ever had any legal grounds to evict whatsoever , ever . Now he's harassing me about the outdoor items That have been there for quite a number of years. Nothing wrong with the items, the barrels were strictly used for storage and nothing That could fit in the outdoor barrels ever went beyond the barrels, even if something had to sit on top. Now that the barrels incident is done and he's picking on me about a barrier I'm using to protect a parking space and a loading zone as well as use for a clothesline during warm weather I'm not going to budge on that one . He wants it to take up less space and he complains about it coming apart When he moves it. I offered to move it for him if I know when he's coming but he doesn't know when he's coming . I think he does know when he's coming but just won't say. If I only knew , maybe if I notice he's here mowing I can just go out and move the item he's complaining about when he's never complained about it ever before . As a long time ran her I can honestly say no one has ever bothered me about my outdoor items, no one but him! He's the only one who's ever bothered me and I'm at the point where I'm starting to realize he's probably just trying to push me out of here and get me moving so he can have the place back and do whatever he might be secretly planning to do. Well, I ain't going nowhere. I'm on a legal contract and he has no legal grounds against me to evict
I'm starting to think he may secretly just be trying to force me out of my home of decades, and I think that's what's going on. I ain't going nowhere , he's just going to have to , he's just going to have to either deal with it or he may be facing some legal issues because he does drink excessively and he drives after drinking.
I think some of the stuff he's saying and doing, he's probably drunk when he's saying and doing it
I was under case management when I was dropped off at my first ever permanent place, but that case worker has since moved on, and I've been doing well out on my own without a caseworker. I may have to get a hold of that establishment again and tell them what's going on, but I think my first call may have to be to my state bar because he shouldn't be harassing none of his tenants. If he's harassing me, I wonder how many more tenants have also been driven from their homes, and I wonder what's going on at home? If he's doing something to one person, you know he's likely doing stuff to others
He wants to criticize me for having anything on my lawn, but the surrounding neighbors have stuff in their lawns . They can have stuff in their lawns and I can't? Something's seriously wrong with this picture when you have a landlord suddenly harassing you out of the clear blue because of a mistake they made that led to a history of harassment! It all started right after the dumpster incident of summer 2023. The threatening call came August 4th in the late afternoon early evening time of day. Yes, the way he tore into me verbally, I felt threatened just by the tone of his voice. I was caught kind of off guard at the time and was kind of shaken up by the end of the call . When we have someone throwing a fit over a dumpster, which is what trash is for, we have a problem . He claims to have taken pictures of the inside so he's not overcharged, which I understand. I later explained that I would have gladly contributed toward the cost of the dumpster if the trash could have just stayed.
Sharing it on here, if he would have handled it better, I might have considered that route, but he didn't handle it In a right matter. It's been said you catch more flies with honey and sugar then you do with salt or vinegar, and he lost what could have been my offer!
If I end up being forced out of my home by some technique, I'm going to expose him on here to warn other potential renters to just beware if they choose to rent from him. If you have a yard that comes with your apartment, then you get to use that yard, which is really all this is because my yard came with my place. I understand mowing is included in the rent, and I respect the fact he must move stuff in order to mow, no problem. However, he shouldn't be harassing none of his tenants about what they have in the yard. If he doesn't want to move it, he can mow around it or have the tenant come and move it themselves . This can be done by telling the tenant When you intend to mow or when they may be available to move whatever it is that needs moved for mowing, this is how it should be handled, not harassing them to downsize what they have or get rid of it Pair it he can't tell people how to live, but harassing them to get rid of something is in a way illegally telling them how to live because now you're telling someone to live without something or to live with a smaller version of it. He's skirting the law through harassment about those items. Thank God I got pictures of other things besides my lawn. I guess we'll see how far he pushes, because I won't put up with it forever! Before moving, I'll go the legal route and get a lawyer involved who knows about these types of matters because this is clearly harassment. The threat is a potential retaliation if I don't give him what he wants. I think this landlord although good, is a potential narcissist how I realize more and more is just by the more recent incident after the barrel incident. He wants me to have a smaller item to serve the same purpose, but I'm happy with what I have. If I don't work with him, he used the threat of me having to move, which would be a threat of retaliation. The retaliation is forcing me out of here, but I'm going the legal route if that happens

As you mentioned with changing the locks legally, sometimes a lock could also just need replacement if you have a situation where the door knob starts coming off in your hand. Sometimes, when a doorknob has something broken inside, then you need a new lock. This is just another example of when locks can be changed legally because sometimes just normal wear and tear can cause something on the inside of the knob to come loose and the knob to come off in your hand . No, I'm not talking about screws just coming loose, I'm talking about actual parts inside the lock that break causing the knob to come off.

If I’m the tenant, quit coming into my rented property and leaving the lights on. Do you know
how irritating that is. I know they know better. They have done it before, today was not just the first time. It could be the so called hoa and/ or the landlord. This happens every time I come home from work. I don’t need you to let me know that you came inside the property without notice by leaving the lights on. Leased from palmetto palms and yes communities in South Carolina.

I’m being harassed currently. I’ve had homemade shelves for 13 years. Made of 2x4s and they’re nice and neat. However I have a new property manager and he has just decided that these shelves need to go. Can he do that? He’s already got me to dismantle similar shelves on my porch and now he is coming for the interior. How can I fight this. If I get rid of these shelves I still need to buy new shelves which doesn’t make sense. This is so ridiculous. What can I do?

If the landlord is found guilty, the tenant should be the one to win in the end because they need some of that money back in certain cases where they rely on social security as there only income . Not only should they pay a fine, but they should give back some rent money to the tenant
If I was president right now, this is what I'd vote for, give money back to those tenants who are paying good money to live there! In fact, if you could go back down the log of all the years the tenant has rented the same place under the same landlord, give back at least half of all money that tenant ever paid just by going over that tenant's bank statement. Going over there bank statement will tell you how faithful they were to pay the rent End full on time. They'll also be able to find where if there was ever a hiccup where are the right amount wasn't Send or maybe the check bounced but the money was there and the tenant made it right, the investigation will reveal that. If the tenant correct errors faithfully, that says a lot about the tenant

Yes, I have seen signs of unannounced entry entry in the past, and it was never an emergency. I'd come home and see I'd come home and see my door wasn't all the way shut or my basement door Head the hook loose Period I usually let it go because I know he's working on the place. I usually let it go because I know he's working on the place. Yes, he's actually done this more than once . If it's open then he'll enter, and it usually happens when I'm not home but nearby. I live in a safe neighborhood where no one bothers anyone or their property , so yes he does occasionally come in when he needs to access the basement when he's working on the other apartment. Usually, I let this kind of thing go for that particular reason as long as he doesn't bother nothing or go snooping. Usually, nothing's disturbed

Popping into your kitchen and opening an appliance to see the cleanliness and contents. Barging into your bedroom to see what's there. Telling tenants they need to put the stuff that's on the bed, in storage.

What if he’s my neighbor- promised to build a fence hasn’t- it’s been 2 years and he’s constantly in my yard w no prior notice- also telling friends that would park on the st he would shoot them?? Hes trying to evict me but hasn’t followed due process correctly so 🤷🏻‍♀️ he’s been paid and I don’t violate the lease- I just am a problem because I speak up for myself and know my rights 😅

You miss a lot of 'harassment ploys landlords use, psychological, literally fabricating and making up lease infractions.
The tactics you use to give examples of "illegal Landlord tactics" are too obvious.
I think you need to go back and do your homework... landlords are much more devious than portrayed here, which makes this video useless.
