I grew up 2 blocks from Joe, the same town were Sal's sister owns her doughnut shop. I've meet Joe's kids at wrestling meets. I'm happy that the group is still friends through all of this, Joe is a real stand up guy, and he is the same guy on air as off air. Please, nobody give Joe crap, he genuinely is one of the best people you'll meet who puts his family before everything

Sal has so much respect and love for Joe. You can also see the bond between all 4 of them is so clear, which is part of why I absolutely love the show, they all work so well together, and you can tell they enjoy what they do. Love everything these guys put out, great interview!
I think it was the right decision to keep the three main jokers with rotating guests whenever needed. There’s only one Joe Gatto, and he can never be replaced. I think the guys understood that and chose not to have a permanent replacement for him. I wish Joe and his family nothing but the best for the future, and hopefully we’ll see him reunited with his friends one day.
If they did ever have one, I'd say they should use Joey Fatone as he's been a regular guest anyway for them and Q has used him before for his challenges. But Joey's still no Joe Gatto!

These guys are the most amazing people ever... I've been watching them since I was 13 (now 24) and I'm so glad they're still on. I will miss Joe, but I'm happy to see the other three. Hoping that Joe will return someday, though. And hoping these guys will be on as long as possible.

Impractical Jokers is my all time favorite show, seen the boys live, never laughed harder, gonna miss Joe alot, but what a great idea having guests like Eric Andre and Rob Riggle show up and then just anybody to goof around with.
I can honestly say this show saved my life. I remember the day it came out, I was in 7th grade. Earlier that year, I discovered I had severe depression and anxiety. I stopped playing sports, hanging out with friends and isolated myself. No specific reason, I just felt so down all the time. I couldn’t find joy in literally anything I used to. This show gave me something to look forward to every Thursday. It’s a show that I can always turn on and find joy in it, like an escape. I love all these guys so much for that

I saw he posted that he decided to not cancel the comedy tour b/c he knows how valuable it is for people to be together and laugh in person w/each other again (after pandemic forced lockdowns) and he knows he brings a lot of laughter to people, so he still decided to finish that, but then I think he'll be on a long break from everything. Wish he was coming to Vegas, but didn't see anything for him coming out west. Would love to see him do stand up. I'm sure he'll be back at some point in the future. I also agree w/your first statement though. I love all of the guys and what they each bring to the table, so while it already feels different watching the new shows w/o him, and I think it's weird they don't even mention that or why he's gone on the next episode w/o him, I don't want the other 3 to fail b/c they're still funny too and deserve the screen time all of the same. I just wish some of their bits were better that they've tried recently. The one Q came up w/that Sal hated and said didn't work I completely agree with! Also they should be using their guests as a 4th person for the team challenges, but at least Sal said they would here. Super late comment But I met Joe in person in Spokane Washington, during one of his comedy acts. And he was great! He was just tryna get a more casual way to make money while still entertaining people and spend more time with his family. He just has bigger priorities right now. And maybe he will be back in the jokers. But prolly just for one episode or so

That first episode I think where Joe sat on the toilet yelling out to the cafe for toilet paper told me Joe would rarely lose an episode unless it was written for it to be his turn.
Wow. I know impractical jokers for week (but I have seen already many seasons- it is crazy good) and it was good to hear that Joe is alive. All those comments put me in totally different direction.
This show wouldn't be the same without either or the 4 Jokers. Each have their own dynamic that they bring to make it for what it is. Even with the show being the 3 of them, as Sal says "For now yeah" it is still hilarious but without Joe there is just that hole that cannot be filled. Eric Andre's humor is a perfect fit but still can not replace Joe. Hopefully he sticks around once or if Joe comes back after taking care of his personal life.

I just hope that Joe is enjoying his time off. I know there were rumors of his mental health and him just needing a break, so I hope for his sake, he is doing well. They all seem like such good guys and such good friends.

Consider that if they were doing a joke and everyone recognized them, that part wouldn’t go in the episode. They probably have to film a lot just to get a few scenes of nobody knowing them. If 10 million people know who they are, thats a lot of people, but thats not even 1% of the people in america

Impractical jokers was so successful cause each one of the jokers brought a unique vibe. I remeber never being able to pick a favorite joker. Tho I have to admit joe usually was my guy

Any character or show has to reinvent itself every so often to stay alive, otherwise diminishing returns creep in. This can be a good thing for the show, and it's going to be another good thing when Joe returns

impractical jokers fo whatever reason is such an easy show to watch and it gets me to laugh every time. All great things come to an end, I'm glad to see sal try and parlay that into something else. I don't listen to his podcast but i've heard good things
I only see Sal talk out of his ass on the show, so now when I hear him talk, it just feels like he's making everything up😂😂

Joe is the best, arguably my favorite personality. But honestly the way Sal describes it, guests sounds like a great way to freshen it up! I’m excited not for Joe leaving, but for the changes.
To all the people saying they won’t watch because he won’t be there anymore is a slap in the face to the other guys. They are doing their best for the fans. I’m super bummed he quit but if the alternative is no IJ at all then 👋🏻 Joe! I love this show and I am eager to support the new version of it.
I really like Joe and I wish him well, but the whole bit about quitting to spend time with his family yet he’s doing a comedy tour?? Just doesn’t make sense.

At his level, its possible to do a comedy tour in an RV and bring the family along.
His tour his scheduled on his own time while the show was included the other 3 plus the 40-50 ppl crew they got.
I saw he posted that he decided to not cancel the comedy tour b/c he knows how valuable it is for people to be together and laugh in person w/each other again (after pandemic forced lockdowns) and he knows he brings a lot of laughter to people, so he still decided to finish that, but then I think he'll be on a long break from everything. Wish he was coming to Vegas, but didn't see anything for him coming out west. Would love to see him do stand up. I'm sure he'll be back at some point in the future.
I also agree w/your first statement though. I love all of the guys and what they each bring to the table, so while it already feels different watching the new shows w/o him, and I think it's weird they don't even mention that or why he's gone on the next episode w/o him, I don't want the other 3 to fail b/c they're still funny too and deserve the screen time all of the same. I just wish some of their bits were better that they've tried recently. The one Q came up w/that Sal hated and said didn't work I completely agree with! Also they should be using their guests as a 4th person for the team challenges, but at least Sal said they would here. I just haven't seen them utilized well yet, b/c it seems stupid to just bring them on for the punishment but have them be an awkward 3 for the whole show. There are still many bits they can do w/just 3 of them though.

But I met Joe in person in Spokane Washington, during one of his comedy acts. And he was great! He was just tryna get a more casual way to make money while still entertaining people and spend more time with his family.
He just has bigger priorities right now. And maybe he will be back in the jokers. But prolly just for one episode or so
it sucks that they didnt use the guests as actual contestants, that would have been so fun to see eric andre be told what to do/tell people what to do

That first episode I think where Joe sat on the toilet yelling out to the cafe for toilet paper told me Joe would rarely lose an episode unless it was written for it to be his turn.
Wow. I know impractical jokers for week (but I have seen already many seasons- it is crazy good) and it was good to hear that Joe is alive. All those comments put me in totally different direction.
This show wouldn't be the same without either or the 4 Jokers. Each have their own dynamic that they bring to make it for what it is. Even with the show being the 3 of them, as Sal says "For now yeah" it is still hilarious but without Joe there is just that hole that cannot be filled. Eric Andre's humor is a perfect fit but still can not replace Joe. Hopefully he sticks around once or if Joe comes back after taking care of his personal life.

You see a very small segment from the film cutting floor. They film hours and hours and hours. You see a very small glimpse of this. They get recognized constantly. This doesn’t make it off the film roll. They’ve talked about this before.
With Joe or not impractical jokers is and will always be one of the funniest TV shows ever
