That coffee cup added an incredible amount of engagement to this sketch. Every time the ship “shook” Kyle took action to prevent his drink from spilling. I think this made the shake effect a lot less cheesy than typical Star Trek impact reactions.

one thing i do is either a. hack their oxygen and drain its then launch missile at it then when they break through doors and stop fire if any and start fixing i wait to the doors re close mind control the guy repairing and rince and repeat second tactic using doors

It took less than two days for them to become my favourite TH-cam skit channel, and just one of my favourite channels overall. (Yes, favourite with a "u". I'm Australian, and we use the British English spelling for most words as opposed to the American English spelling.)

Okay so you make the check and.... Yeah, so in three hours you emerge to the other side. There is a wizard waiting with a readied action, so before you go, roll a will save. Yeah super high DC, he already cast all his buff spells. So you are feebleminded, and are basically a potato. With the meathead out of the fight, everyone else roll initiative... What? No, I dont think you'll be fine because you "have a teleport left". He was able to shield the area from that. How? Ritual spell, takes one hour, which he had three of.

FTL is most fu when somebody else is playing for you. that way, you can stand behind him and yell "TARGET THE ENGINE ROOM!!" and all that fancy stuff.. the immersion is real, i tell ya!

me and my friends played a game which was described to be FTL but first person and multiplayer. we were attacked and our ship was on fire. naturally my first thought was open all the doors. when I learned you couldnt do this I went to the teleporter, teleported myself onto the hostile ship and gave up.
once on a rock ship playthrough a fire broke out and my doors system was destroyed. the obvious solution? use a breach bomb and make a new door in the room.

One of the Rock ships (Rock B I think?) has literally no doors to the outside, so a common fix is to use a breach bomb on a few rooms to make an airlock so you can vent the place.

This was the first DM skit I ever saw. 7 years later and I still come back 2, 3 times a year.
You're supposed to lock yourself in the Medbay, make sure all the doors on the ship are closed, then shut off ALL of the life support EXCEPT the life support in the Medbay.
You can't do that in FTL, just drain the oxygen

Of all the incredible door monster videos this one is my favorite. I remember watching it before I ever played ftl and it was still incredible. Incidentally it's also the reason I got ftl.

You know, 2 years down the road and they still haven't hit 500k. I'm not sure if it's a blessing or a curse, cause on one hand they can still talk to audiences but they don't have the recognition that they DESERVE but on the other, if they do have that would they lose their touch and will kyle become panda kyle?
This is one the best Door Monster sketches by far, but rewatching it I realized just how dark it was
so doors times space equals infinite power. So we can use doors to travel back in time in order to go through doors that were open back in that time line? Oh my god... Humanity's gone too far.
What I really love about this chanel is that even after all this time, their video still hold up really well.
