You, VT outdoors and tristar digging have inspired me. I am 64 and have had a long career in finance. Live in the Adirondack mountains. I've always craved working outdoors. Own a Cat 304, a tractor loader backhoe and have done side jobs here and there for 20 years. Want to go full time but don't want employees. I am going for it this year. :-)
BTW, I am of Scottish/Welsh descent. Can't understand all of what you say but getting the hang of it.

Nice new digger to add to he fleet, when your driving 6 wheelers when your turning you have to remember the point of turning is at the start of the rear axle, unless of course you have rear wheel steering. As a rule of thumb, if you're turning into a tight space take up as much of the road as you can, on the right hand side if turning left or left hand side if turn right.and move as far in front of you that the turning circle will allow before turning. You need to exaggerate your turn, that way the rear of the lorry will follow you around instead of it cutting the corner.

Thank you for your comment. However, I do know this I've been driving HGVs for 11 years and mainly this style ridges. It's a single road I am driving on so used all the road I possible could ☺

Interesting to see all your wee machines run with steel tracks, I don't think I've seen any on less than 16t machines down here. Then again, with most of your work being on rocky ground, it's a logical choice.

Really you need to sit down with your dad and tell him that you could do with a static caravan to be put on your sight where you are working with the shears so that you can live on sight so that If it rains you won't have to leave your digger machine in a hurry an you could also do with some security lighting to brighten up the sight and it will give you a lot more safety while living in s static caravan at least you would be able to have your dog with you to give you a lot more safety and security

You have to be ruthless when you encounter vegetation overhanging the access like that. Just cut the branches and toss them to the side. The landowner cannot legitimately complain because the branches constitute a hazard, both to traffic and to any pedestrian who is passing by when a branch is broken off by a vehicle.

Hi if your still looking for a set of shears we have a set of KX shears which are really handy as don't have plates between the fingers off the grab which means smaller branches can fit in between them aswell as the the blades removable so you can just have a grab and if you want you can have a buncher attachment on it if you want + if there was 3 years warranty as standard when we got it if they still do that

Great to see yer subs going up each week.
Don't know how ye got around that hairpin. I'd have been cursing and puckering up in my LWB Transit, lol.
