Sorry but it's the grunt from the 143 and the sheer joy on your face when you were driving it that I liked. But I do like all your machines too. As a time served agricultural blacksmith I was used to repairing digger buckets and fabricating attachments for them so anything digger related I enjoy.

Hi Amy, l worked in quarries/plant hire for 40 plus years until i retired in June love your videos i had a navara 18 plate same as your dads great pickup got rid of it for a toyota land cruiser short wheelbase it was a great car, now have a VW caddy maxi for doing my gates and putting my dog box in. You spoke about not using hauliers to move your machines wouldn't a 4 wheel drive tractor and plant/dump trailer be good for your work ? A lot of expense i know just a thought. I stay in carstairs but love up your way, and the highlands beautiful country apart from the weather 😂 you have a great work area it would be pleasure working on the sites you work on hope you and your children and family have a great festive season stay safe.
Her friend Graham who does some part time work for them, has both a plant trailer like you talked about and a dumper trailer for his tractor.
I've seen him move diggers for them, probably they need the lorry for the bigger distances.
Also using red diesel for that type of work is a bit of a grey area, maybe ok for farm and forestry work.
Maybe they do use white ?

That's a must! When looking at buying a new machine. Finding a dealer that has Great customer service. Any one can sell something but how do they take care of you during and after the sale! Great Video

Hi Amy, The 14T Hyundai, I've experienced the same issue with the slew motor on a number of 14T Hyundai machines, this tended to happen after the Machines reached a certain amount of hours. I've got video's on my channel driving the exact same model and it had the same issue, and was very annoying, Hyundai actually came out and fitted a new slew pump. You have an awesome fleet of machines, I'm still jealous of your Rototilt, love them. Awesome video, enjoyed watching, TY for the upload.
Yea the fitter said it was common but thankfully the new model doesn’t have the issue😁

I live in Brisbane (I'm originally from Durham though) and they have loads of Hyundai here in Australia but a lot of companies don't really like them. To the point they have an accronym for them ..... Here's Y U'll Never Drive Another Import.
Personaly I like them having operated a loading shovel and 25t excavator when working for a soil company

Thank you for your comprehensive review so well presented Amy. I feel quite armed now to hold a little insight into digger business. I think on your logistics side you are wise to keep with the restricted o licence. I went through the hassle of obtaining my National and international but ended up not really using them.

Hello there. That old Benford will have a Perkins faizer engine. They were very reliable. You would have a shock if you saw our 2 old Dawoo machines, a 22 and a 13 ton. We use them for lifting farm machinery.

Great video again. Some fleet you have there. I have a 1970s Hymac 590c. If you have been observant you might have seen it off the main road.I think any operator would be knackered after an 8 hour shift compared to these modern machines.

Hi Amy enjoyable vid as always and it was nice seeing the fleet, my favourite was the Benford dumper it's got about the same amount as rust on it as my Fordson Dexta, I take it the tipper I saw belongs to someone else then, and my 4x4 of choice would be either Land Rover or Mitsubishi.

I love her videos, but if I’m honest I catch about 90% of it because of her accent. I love the accent though! My favorite is they say “wee” for little/small. Love it. As someone who owns a dirt moving company in the U.S it’s very fascinating to me how people in other countries get it done! Thanks!

Always great to see a company that takes care of the gear they use, and will show in the work they do.
Will be awesome to see the 143 back on the road, but its younger sister can look after things till then, definitely handy to have the option to move things when really needed, the 143 just look a lot better doing it lol

Another good video. Very interesting to see the whole fleet. Maybe could have done with some title boxes when introducing the machine as it was quite difficult to catch the models for us non job people, nothing to do with your lovely accent just the model names.
Is the surprise about the newer scania going to be when you fix the grill your respraying with the paint that lambo you had on hire had 😂

great reveiw just what i needed to feel old, 20 + yrs pulling levers . rototilt's a gamechanger ! i'd probley still have some hair and less frown lines, actully worked at benford's in warwick in early 80s lasted about 6 months working inside 🤮, i finnished in 2014 by then is was a common thing to see female op's which was nice to see

looked at your video where you were introduced to the new electric machines , the one big question i would have is how long will the life of the battery last before replacement and the price with time i am sure it will get better but it is a doubt i would have , as example the new cars are not reliable and costly when it comes to replacement of the battery , i am sure you have thought of this ,
Very Nice Video, i have to admit to be a little bit in Love with Kobelco, but Kubota has some really good Miniexcavators, and i would say that the Kubota is a little bit better than the SK85 with the front mounted boom.
Is that a Tax Thing in your country, that you use this kind of trucks? Ive never seen them over here, most smaller Companies use Hook Container Trucks, that can haul equipment but also Earth and Gravel.
What engine is in the Benford dumper?, certain engines you can leave for years and they will still start first time!, don't forget to fit rain caps to the exhausts on your old Scania when it's finished, you will need them up there!, a friend of min who has sadly passed away now has a 1972 Scania 110 and it's still going strong!, he had a plant hire and civil engineering company and his Father bought the Scania from new and it's never given any trouble.
Really nice video, I was looking forward to meet the fleet for a while now ;) There's just one thing that keeps me thinking: why no backhoe loader? Is it your personal preference or they're not really good in hilly countryside?

@@the_digger_girl lol if I remember there is a lever low down either on side or front that you pull up and the whole chair mount slides forward I had the same problem with too short from the pedals

Just looking at the PT9000 in the background. Has the oil seal blown out of the torque converter yet? Only a matter of time 😁

@@the_digger_girl We've had a few in the fleet, eventually they all do it. The problem is that they often damage the surface that the seal runs on, meaning the only way to rectify it is by getting the torque converter shaft machined down and fitting a non standard seal, either that or buy a complete new torque converter ££££'s. We also fit an additional oil cooler as excess heat seems to be a factor with these gearboxes.
Aircon in Scotland, it doesn't get hot lol.. Are the swamp tracks on your machine?

I would guess the 143 has been round the clock once which would put her at 1.6 million km, being 1 million miles. To me that would sound very plausible for her grand age of 27.
