Epic tech for Reefslider in Tower Control:
The pole on tower stops the slide, which can make Reefslider a budget invulnerability tool when riding. It’s tough timing, but it’s a use!

i guess reefslider has some uses.
Coming back to this comment to say you saved my life. I was not aware that the pole could just stop a reefslider like that. Just got out of a TC match where I must've been a few frames from blowing up on the tower to a reefslider.
This tech also lets you stay on the tower and live if the enemy throws a booyah bomb at it. Very useful for overtime. You can also live through a tri-strike, but it's less useful since there's multiple strikes lmao

I actually found this out by accident in tower control, I hopped from the tower across a gap
Is this the one theyre actually talking about though? Another guy in the comments has said that if you can aim it well the tower pole can be used to halt your momentum letting you just stay on top of the tower for the full duration of the special, outlasting something like Booyah or even tri-strike.
Chara's Blaster gameplay is _extremely_ satisfying, and it's even better when Luis's amazing editing is added to it!!

Anyways, you are REALLY using the S-Blast to its fullest potential here and then some in a way that reminds me of the stuff you pulled off with the Grim Range Blaster in Splatoon 2 (saw Chugga's video too). I really hope to be able to get to that level of play eventually.

To the scenario at 1:50. I see it pretty often. You can splat the player right before they slam down the rainmaker. Rainmaker stays on top cause that’s where you splatted them.

I forget all the specific maps/locations off the top of my head but there are other places, especially certain tower control maps like Hagglefish and Undertow where gap jumping comes in handy. I'm an Undercover Brella main so a lot of Reefslider's tricks are well known at this point.

Three horn circus is the greatest Splatoon track and no one will tell me otherwise
These long range directs in this vid make the projectile speed feel so insane, you are losing a fight so hard and that shot gets to them before they can dhoot that last shot.

What actually was the reef tech? It wasn’t made clear in the video and I couldn’t figure it out
Unless it’s breaking spawn armour
if you brake at certain positions, you'll be able to clear gaps that you would normally fall through. for example, on inkblot in the thumbnail. the trail says you would fall into that little crevice, but if you brake just right, you'll actually make it to the other side

As someone who was slowly losing interest for playing high level solo q, the S blast was probably the best thing to ever happen to the game (in my biased opinion). Learning that weapon is one of the most satisfying weapons to play well. I suggest that if you are willing to give this game another shot, learn how to play the sblast. Although it was one of the most difficult weapons I’ve ever had to learn, I got so addicted to playing this weapon and my interest for splatoon is higher than ever. I hope that if you do come back to the game, you don’t burn yourself out again, and also that you give the S blast a chance 👍
