- In this video i'm casting the hammer from Beta Ray Bill which is named the same as Thor's hammer..... Stormbreaker.
I'm using solid aluminium bars for this from 1m lenght and 20mm diameter.
I thaught my crucible was too small for the cast so i filled it all the way to the top, but apparently i had enough material to fill the hammer and 1 ingot.

I was really disappointed that they didn't bring beta ray bill into Thor: Ragnarok. It was the perfect opportunity!
If you look on the left side of the champions tour you can see beta ray bill’s face next to hercules one

If you sand and polish your ingots after you cast them, when you reuse them for future castings they will make for a higher quality casting

It’s the bonnet or hood ornament on Rolls-Royce cars..it has a really nice fancy look to it..I know it’s a small hood ornament but maybe with your 3D printer you can upscale it to a bigger size..just a suggestion. After scooping off the hot aluminium impurities, it looked like there was still much impurity in the aluminium that was poured.
You must have a very large printer. Mine can only print about 200mm across. Nice job
