    In a game where we really needed to counter Bielsas’ press, Gregg moved Gio to the Wing. It’s not like McKennie has been playing well at all, so we had no one in the middle that could carry the ball forward or play any line breaking passes.
    I think the big issue isn’t just that this team can’t score, it’s that the coach actively makes decisions that hurts the team.

    We don’t score in transition but have players that do that at club. Also GGG was fired from hammerby in Sweden for a lack of final third ideas. Players are being blamed but we evidence of the players doing better without him but a lack of proof of GGG producing without them.

      It was obvious against Netherlands 2 years ago there was issues considering the players he has. They have actually gotten worse as a team , while many of these players have made progression in their clubs. But most of us saw the writing in the wall in the WC!!!! So happy this happened now
      But what the he!! Is USSF doing….branstorming what to do with GGG….😮😂😅. Like what??????

    McKennie, Musah, and Robison fewer passes than Matt Turner yesterday. Gio only had 29 the same as him! That says it all

    It’s always been about the scoring. “We got this young talent Pepi guy!” He doesn’t fix the scoring. “We got Balogun!” He doesn’t fix our issues. Same problems throughout all of GGG’s tenure that we have been trying and wishing to fix.

    I nominate Willy Sagnol. Im a dual national, French American, and im a fan of his style and how he coaches. He also speaks really good english which i believe is the bare minimum requirement for the job.

    I feel like this generation just lacks that grit we’ve seen from past generations of this squad and that’s on GGG and the players the quality is there but man watching them feels like watching complacent football

      They don’t seem to have this problem on their club teams. Robinson, Ream, Pulisic, etc have all earned their spots. The younger guys should be in follow. All these player play UNDER their potential and inconsistent under GGG. Bad turnovers, confusion, crosses to no one….over and over and over. But Berhalter will say “we need more patience and more courses”…… every single half time in his interviews. . It’s infuriating!!!!!! Good to see you all are catching on! 😮😂😅

      When I watch this team, I feel like I'm watching a youth team. Most of the players seem to lack maturity and desire. They are soft and fold under pressure. It doesn't help that everyone keeps calling the the golden generation. So they probably also have big egos.

    Carly Loyd is right, these guys are obviously too comfortable, they are ok with mediocrity, they instantly forgive themselves for poor performances and show that they have no one giving them the tutoring in getting better which all falls on the coaching who created and allows that environment. When I was in basic training and all my duty stations I hated my leadership, but I'm am thankful looking back for all those struggles and consequences when we messed up, it taught us to work together, get things right (which was more just trying to avoid what would happen if even one person messed something up), discipline, self motivation, leadership. No one has the any motivation to do better when there are no consequences when it comes to the failures. All of this is just one part of what's wrong with this team right now.... It's not just one thing but you have to fix the biggest problem first and it is blatantly obvious the biggest problem is Berhalter

    Gregg did NOT earn ANYTHING to get that 2nd contract. Nothing! I’m sure you’re going to champion beating terrible MEXICO…meanwhile Panama has become the giant in Concacaf. If you couldn’t see this coming two years ago. I can’t help you ! Many of us saw this coming. And thank god it happened now because people like you would have wanted him till 2026. His style is awful. He’s playing players out of position. Crosses to no one and lack of focus and discipline. I saw it way back against Holland. It should have been his last game!!!

    I was never a Berhalter out guy, but these performances were not good enough. No tactical nuance, no creativity, and the substitution decisions were baffling. Gregg’s got to go. I’m just not sure who we could even get to replace him.

      I was. It was absolutely asinine he got rehired. His style of play is horrendous! And he got rehired AFTER they find out about the spousal abuse and his attempt of covering it up. He’s deplorable! He has no integrity and will take this program to the ground if he could. His comments last night were so infuriating….. he cares only about himself. He has no pride or integrity. And take that horrible Turner with him. He is a liability!!!!

      This is just the culmination of all these years of incompetence under GB. Many of us saw the red flags since the beginning. But people kept defending GB and saying that we were being too harsh. Anyone who has eyes to see, can see that GB is a mediocre coach who always looks scared when he is on the sidelines. He always plays it safe. Never pushes his players to go above and beyond

    US Soccer screwed themselves. They won’t be able to afford a top notch coach because they have to pay the women’s coach an equal increase.

    • @mackdeen7021
      @mackdeen7021 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You don’t need a “top notch” coach. Hell,,,,BJ had them playing MUCH better and consistent during his interim stint. They didn’t have a “top notch” coach in the 90s when they beat Argentina 3-0, or in 2002 when they went the 1/4 in the WC etc etc etc. people keep worrying about “world Class” or top notch….but many teams have gone far in big tourneys without world class players or “top notch” coaches!!!!

    Take a big step back.. realistically the USMNT is top 30 in team rankings and honestly that seems about right. IF the American pundits realized this then bowing out at the COPA group stage becomes much more reasonable. And it is.
    You have teams that squeaked through and those that didn't. The margin for error is miniscule, and yes, an errant red card can change your fortunes in an instant. Chile and Peru are likely out because of it. Canada is in because of it. Yes, all of those teams have talent. So what?
    I'm not saying things don't need to be reflected on (they do), but for all intents and purposes, there was nothing the USMNT had before COPA that had me believing that they were a shoe in to advance. In fact, the only team that was, was probably Argentina, and maybe Colombia.
    Overall though, I thought the US played well. Weah's red card was what killed it. So focus on that and move on.

    • @nerychristian
      @nerychristian 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I get it. We are not a top 20 team. Yet, we should be able to beat any CONCACAF team easily. You know it's bad when we struggle against almost any CONCACAF team away from home.

    • @cre8ivjay
      @cre8ivjay 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@nerychristian That's arrogance and does nothing to serve the USMNT team.
      Canada drew France earlier this month and held Argentina to a draw at the half early in COPA.
      Nothing to say about Canada or France or Argentina except to say that, mathematically, that shouldn't have happened.
      Welcome to football.
      Does the USMNT need a new coach? Maybe, but what would serve that team (and the broader USMNT community including journalists and bloggers) is tempered expectations and 50 more years of football legacy building.
      It's a marathon, not a sprint.
