    Thanks for the tutorial on this stuff! It's a perfect explanation!!!

    very good information..Thank you.

    Very cool! THX!
    I'm thinking about how to make VDB explosion's smoke + fire into one mesh (in each frame) and add vertex color for that (merged/boolean) mesh - driven by smoke and flame "colors" from VDB info. I'm not a big expert with Houdini (working with EmberGen and mostly other 3D software and game engines).

    That is some very valuable information right herr thank you! But it is hard to concentrate on what you show because youre not consistent explaining you have a very inconvenient way of explaining and this makes it very hard to watch 😅 but anyway thanks again for this!

    There is a node in H19 called volume noise fog. I was wondering what's the difference between that one and volume velocity to break the fog. Do u know it?

      I do know it! As it turns out, I have a video on it: Houdini Quick Tip: Volume Adjust Fog SOP
      th-cam.com/video/s14jvLzQ2CI/w-d-xo.html
      You can 1000% use that instead of the volume velocity. I chose the volume velocity because it has curl noise, which the other SOP does not.

    Really cool!, may a tutorial on a letter particle disintegration with fire ashes, smoke and ambers, but rendering with Mantra.

      Can it be Karma instead of Mantra? haha

    Fantastic tutorial, I'm trying ti morph between 2 animated meshes (Alembic) and the problem with the Solver is that it doesn't evaluate those animations, MorphSDF with no Solver does though, but, as you point out, it's so slow. Any tip about this? Thanks!

    • @ProfessionallyIncorrect

      I haven't tried it with an animated/deforming mesh. I will take a look into it.

      I know it's been a year but in case someone needs it, just add a convert node after the alembic file@@ArgoBeats

    I usually use a vdb advect in the solver with vdb analysis for curvature and gradient. And sono volume velocity to add some detailing. I will try this method. 👍

    How did you put the background grid in the node network? never figured it out how

      @ProfessionallyIncorrect  ปีที่แล้ว

      That's what the UV portion of the tutorial is. If you have UV and transfer them, your textures will follow.

      @@ProfessionallyIncorrect any way to morph between two uvs ? u ve shown to transfer the same uv and texture to 2ndobject but need a way to lerp into that squab uv
