      I have a road series from the older number system but the same guitar. (I bought it in 2021 or 2022) The tone and sound is really very impressive. I thought because it’s more affordable it wouldn’t have as much of that Martin tone, but they still know how to give us a great instrument. I get lots of compliments from real musicians on how much they really love my Martin. I hope you love yours as much as I love mine.

    I bought the GPC-13E to use in the country band I'm -playing in. The sound , action and comfort of playing is amazing. I have tried a few different Martins over the years but they just didn't give me the "Buy Me " feeling that I got when I played this one. The tuner inside is a great feature. I love it.

      I got to play with a d10e in guitar center. Didnt buy from them cuz theyre arseholes and wanted full price for a floor model with no case, i actually liked it more than the higher end ones. Sounded warmer and played easier. Probably the same reason i prefer mexican strats over american ones. Playability and tone is very personal and it doesnt matter what the instrument costs.. it matters how much it inspires you.

    Strong volume too. At Guitar Center, I went for the 5 year pro package. I'm still trying to about the Gigbag backpack thingy with pretty blue fur inside. I'm to figure out if the material is weather resistant. I believe guitar center gave me a 14 fret version soft shell case backpack thingy. It feels comfortable on my arthritis developing body.

    What a great video. I like the d10e. It sounded great. You could really hear the difference in sound. I've got a d18 that is an amazing guitar. If I had the money, I'd get me one of these guitars as well. To me it doesn't matter if the guitar is made in Mexico or in America. All I care about is the sound that I want. I'm totally blind, so the looks of the guitar don't matter to me as much. Thanks again for a great video.

  • @neilmartin99

    I wanted a guitar to play for just chilling in my living room at night.
    So I bought the 10E
    Very much love the overall tonality but extremely disappointed in the volume output when finger picking especially noticeable when fretting the high E string.
    It's almost inaudible unless I pluck the crap out of it and even then it is still fairly muted.
    Maybe a spruce top may have helped?
    Does Martin make a guitar in the same body size that is also warm tone but maybe just a bit more punch? Oh and under $1k
    Very good video review btw.
    Thanks

    Great demo video ... but the audio could have been better. What's up with all the tone sweeps and stuff happening in the background. When he says things like "listen to that really jump out on this guitar" it doesn't because it's badly compressed -- but you can tell that it should have. Appreciate the content nonetheless, nice breakdown of the lineup.

      @@neilmartin99 Ned, I bought the D10-E. I love it, and I do a lot of fingerpicking. However, I bought it for my live acoustic act, so I’m invariably playing it through my PA system. The only time I play it without amplification is when I’m at home. In my mind, it’s a great option for a solo acoustic player/singer. I like the electronics, and how I could easily turn it up or down based on whether I’m fingerpicking or strumming a particular song. The included gig bag is perfect for my purposes as well.

    • @neilmartin99
      @neilmartin99 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@kevinmoulton2480 The D would be great I imagine in terms of punch because of the obvious body size dif but I intended to use mine as a parlor guitar.
      It kinda sucks because I live above a fairly busy street and with the TV on at night it makes it difficult to hear the incredible but mellow tones of the 00010E.
      I'm wondering if switching to a brighter string might make a difference?
      Maybe 80/20 bronze?

    I am having a really hard time finding information on the exact model and specs on a brand new Martin guitar I just picked up on Black Friday sale this year from Guitar Center. On the Martin & Co. website, what I purchased does not seem to be listed. Guitar Center has mine listed as a Martin Special GPC X Series Rosewood Top Grand Performance Accoustic-Electric on their website. On the serial number tag, it's listed as a Cust GPCXE HPL RW/RW. I don't know where Guitar Center is getting Rosewood from, it looks like a Mahogany finish to me, unless they are referring to the fingerboard. I would like to know exactly what I have.

    I’ve had a Yamaha FG800 for a couple years now but I’m looking to upgrade. Is this worth it or should I wait to get something better? I’m more of an intermediate guitar player. • @Dannyvm27
      @Dannyvm27 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      One of these will definitely be a sizeable upgrade to the FG800. The road series are all solid wood guitars which means more sustain and better tone. The only thing I can say is the pickups in these aren’t that great. I have a Martin GPRS1 road series with an LR baggs anthem and it’s my go to guitar for live playing. I actually prefer it over some higher end guitars

    Where Martin really shines is from the standard series and above. For the same money of one of the most expensive Mexican martins you can buy a Gibson j45 studio, all hide glue, all solid wood, full gloss nitrocellulose finish, piezo pickup, compound dovetail, hardcase and built in America.

    Corey this comparison video of yours is excellent for me, because I am looking to buy one of these Road Series guitars. I have it narrowed down to the 000 body size - either the 000-13e, the 000-10e, or possibly the 000-12e koa, which you featured in a different video. I’d like to get your opinion - first of all, I play pretty much all fingerstyle. I don’t use a pick at all, just fingertips without the nails, and I’d like to get the one that has the most volume and projection. I know they all sound good in their own way, but which one would you choose if you were doing nothing but fingerstyle, and you wanted to get the most volume out of it, whether you’re using a light touch or digging in as well? Thanks, Corey. Keep up the great videos - you’re a great guitar player too!

    isn't a budget buster!!! RS models sound exactly like those in the video.

    Martin made a big mistake when they choose Siris wood for the back and side in the 000-13e.
    It looks really nice.
    But It sounds the worst.
    It doesn’t sound like Martin Guitar, it doesn’t have the warm sound.
    Martin should have just sticks with Sapele instead of siris.
    My disappointment level 100%.

    Never buy a guitar without a binging. If they don't care about going the extra mile, they know it's a piece. Also, never buy a guitar thats not made of wood. Laminate is for flooring, not guitars.

    People must be crazy to buy these - cheap materials and average sound for a lot of money. Better go to ebay or reverb and buy a used Takamine or Furch/Stonebridge

      Maybe I would buy these used but brand new...its too expensive and the price oesnt match the quality, sorry, but true

      They're not made of cheap materials, these sound better than a good amount of high end guitars I've played honestly.
