Who are your industry role models? Would you recommend an MA in Arts Management for others who are interested in this field?
Honestly, I loved getting my MA but I don't think there's any hard-and-fast rule about how to proceed in this business in any department--but particularly producing and marketing. Industry role models? Ooh I love this. I don't know about individual role models as much yet (still learning!) but I do definitely admire aspects of soooo many folks. Producing, marketing, agencies, creatives, actors--and in a way they all inspire me. I know it seems like a cop out answer but it's true.
I am loving your content. I did 2 shows on the West End as keyboardist and it is so interesting to hear about the other side of the pond on Broadway!

Yes! Though honestly it's going to vary so much depending on what part of the community you're in. I'm autistic, so that presents its own set of challenges, but physical disability is a totally different way to navigate the industry. You know? Either way, it's doable and there's been a *lot* of movement in a positive direction in the last few years, but we still have a *LONG* way to go.
Hi! I absolutely love your content -- it's also what I wish I had when in high school! Most theatre youtubers/social media stuff comes from the performance side, and as an aspiring director and administrator, I LOVE seeing your work. I just graduated college and am applying for entry level theatre admin positions (development, events and outreach programming, management, etc) to get my foot in the door. Any tips? Also, if my dream is to one day be in the director's seat/more artistic side, is it bad to be starting with admin work?
Ahh thank you so much! It's not bad to start with admin, but try to assist direct simultaneously. Once you're steeped in admin world it can be hard for folks to perceive that you could do multiple things well! Though of course, you can. It's honestly as much about storytelling (telling YOUR story) as it is the gig. You got this!!

Do you have any advice for young people who want to work in entertainment but don’t know where to start/exactly what they want to do?
Trust your gut! Say yes to things that feel right, and don't judge yourself when things DON'T feel right. run your own race
