We used to take lots of stuff for our friends and relatives, whatever they requested, we bought and took it over, but not one reimbursed us, and considered them free gifts. This is when we are living on minimum wages in the USA. Now no more. They can get everything in India which they can buy for themselves. Not one of them gave us any gifts when we were leaving. They think we are their own private bank.

Very well said coz specially for initial few years we are already adjusting on low income in us..and its very bad when people demand to brung this bring that and then consider it as a gift
when you give you expensive gifts, people tend to think that you are already rich and they feel that they can't afford to give you anything expensive.
Really good choices though I realized that after air ticket cost and other travel expenses, the gifts cost a lot too if you add electronic products & branded bags, shoes:) Sabko Michael kors & coach ke hi bags chahiye aur clothes and shoes me only Nike ( adidas & puma are too common;) Sab log “acche” (branded & expensive) gifts expect karte hain, and most of the time, as per my personal experience, don’t appreciate it much but rather take it for granted as if ye toh Hamara farz hai 😕 They don’t realize we not only spend our hard earned money but also spend time and take extra effort in searching those gifts😞

It's your fault if you don't make them understand that money doesn't come off the trees. You have to learn to say no. But it's your ego. You want to show them that you are loaded with money. There may be people who may have more money than you have.

I use products from India …. Bags, shoes , clothes… I like the quality of Indian stuff than USA… & I’m brutally honest to them regarding the life style & expenses. I had my own surroundings of parent’s & siblings who understands me well & they are my well wishers. I don’t damn care others
Ziplock bags, Granola bars, Nut bars, Bark thin chocolates, Hershey’s sugar free chocolates for Diabetics, Shout color catcher, Shout stain remover, Deo sticks, magic eraser for cleaning any surface, peanut butter, nut butter--I get all these things. Some you don’t get in India. Some quality ok. Maybe you could compare prices. I didn’t 😊
One thing he forgot to mention suitcase which is very much appreciated in India as a gift
Also Take a wife/husband from US if you can. Its cheaper in the US

Every thing is available in India and better quality and less expensive . Whatever items we took for them they don’t appreciate and expect higher quality. We don’t know so many latest item as they know. So don’t buy any thing from here. Buy in India and give them. Carrying luggage is also problem. Unless we are going business class or first class then we can take 3 suitcase. Other wise in most airlines only one suitcase

💯 agreed I feel u should not take anything for them just small chocolate and if u have parents buy them medical stuff like knee belts and other health issue stuff if they are very old. Because these stuff u get very nice quality and lots of options. Someone said they think we having cars and townhouse we are doing good but they don’t think that we are working hard for that on top without having a cook ,cleaning lady drive to get groceries drop pick up kids and husbands to train station and schools. God I can go on 😂

Nice video but in India everything is much cheaper and better quality. It is the opposite of what you say . We send stocks of all these to the US from India. Local things there are all made in China and poor quality. Made in India cotton shirts sell for upwards of 65$ . Here we get very good quality in ₹600-700/- .All cheaper and better quality.I phones are the only thing which are cheaper.
frankly last 2-3 years you have so many varieties in India that's i dont find usa much useful, untill you are looking for expensive brands.

I'm not buying sh*t to relatives in India. They get everything in India and can afford it. When I do get them presents, they have the audacity to give me attitude in turn saying "you didn't have to get me all this" with their annoying tone, but still snatch it out of my hand anyway. They don't even say thank you, let alone give me a gift in return. We work so hard here and they think money magically appears in our banks in U.S.

Kafi sare chocolates India mein mil jate hai tier 1 cities mein. But not all varieties would be available as demand is slim. Shayad tier 2 & 3 cities walo ko an mile kuch bhi. Aur shayad apka rates ka hisab airport mein hai. Hamko yaha same rate mein mil jata hai sab.
Only a handful of brands India mein nahi hai but those are not very famous.
