When looking for a product like this, I came across two, one by AES, which, laughingly, is ZIP TIES AND COAT HANGER COATED WIRE..lol who in their right mind would zip tie parts on a car capable of 200mph?? This fix for the active exhaust looked better, I called, had a comprehensive conversation, and ordered the parts. Was as claimed..super easy install, SS parts, HD construction..had no qualms on putting these on my 75K car.. I recommend these entirely. John
I hear ya. I saw the other one too and while I admire anyone creating a product to fix a problem, I saw the zip ties and said “Really?!”. I’m going to pick up this product, as it looks like it does what it needs to nice and clean.
Ok, I put the MFER-1’s on my 2018 Scatpack and I love them. They were easy to install in about 10 to 15 minutes per side. They look great and the sound at say 15 to 30 mph pulls in traffic when you get the full exhaust sound without having to floor it to get the valves to open is amazing. Also, the clear pops and crackles you get in the parking lot in second and third gear make it worth the money alone. Love the product.
You probably dont give a shit but if you're bored like me during the covid times you can stream all the latest series on InstaFlixxer. I've been binge watching with my girlfriend for the last couple of months =)
Installed the MFER-1 today on 2017 Charger Hellcat. The downshifting sound is less pronounced, even in sport and track. The exhaust sound appears quieter when cruising, but at WOT, it screams. I installed the MFER-1 to a BORLA ATAK catback exhaust. Installation was slightly different than it appears in this video. I had to use 2 1/2 inch bolts to attach the MFER-1 to the exhaust because the existing stock bolts were hex and rusted out. Overall I am satisfied so far and no more CEL due to AES malfunctioning. I will make a video soon.
Yes, you reinstall your stock motors and springs, unless it's a early model 2015 with the pancake style spring's and if so you need the new style spring kit.
In stock form, the plastic motor housing is sealed on the back side since it's mounted flush to that little box. In the MFER-1 design, the spacers leave the back side exposed to the elements. Is the housing itself sealed on the back??
How do you keep them from throwing a code. I thought the motor needed to turn to a certain position and turn back to keep it from giving you a check engine light? I didn’t notice anything to keep the motor from continuously turning.. other than this, it appears to be a much better design than the competition.
I just installed my mfers1 on 2018 challenger rt and it was fine but 10min driving the cel turned on didnt follow your instructions but another videos. Did I miss something?
If anyone was wondering it did stop the rattling noise car sounds great at higher rpms kinda sluggish in lower but nothing to complain about. I recommend this product 👌🏽👌🏽
BamaLineBullys I ordered it last night lol. I can’t run my catless mids because that rattle. Does it in eco, default, sport. Only time it doesn’t is when I’m in track mode.
I've installed these with the updated springs on my '15 Chally SRT. It's pretty easy to install and It worked fine for about 2 weeks and then i got a "Check engine light". I don't know why since its pretty straight forward installing them. Anybody experienced this issue? thanks
@@Big_Gus This was actually what fixed mine. Lessened the tension on the nut holding the actuator, and reset the check engine light with an obd tool. So far no problems.
You have to make sure the exhaust is cold and when you take off the valve make sure the exhaust flap is in the open position if not it’s in the closed position there’s only a small hole in the middle of the flap
Really? Let the guy make a little money. This is why people end up buying Chinese. The guy took the time to fabricate. Plus if you own a 6.4 $150 should be no issue.
@@tinyman520 True, but im thinking of it for the 5.7. Thats lower grade pay scale lol. I wish it was a bit cheaper as well, but you see him (seller) hustling to help people out a lot. I think ~150 is not a bad price to rid ones self of the horrible squeak noise.

Tanto Buds I've had this installed since it came out with no problems. Nobody makes a kit better. If so, please share.

Hello, could be a lose spring, or if the motors are on the wrong side #1 on the drivers side and # 2 on the passenger side will cause a error code.

Yes the tab on the bottom holds the valves open 100% all the time.
Any normal driving vids from in the cabin? Wanting to see if there is drone with em open all the time

Is the valve held open with a spring without the Active Exhaust connected ?
Hi can I use the mfer1 on my 2014 challenger Rt hemi ???
So this should fix my rattle in my valve when I put it in sport it stops! Same concept right?
If anyone was wondering it did stop the rattling noise car sounds great at higher rpms kinda sluggish in lower but nothing to complain about. I recommend this product 👌🏽👌🏽
I have the same rattle! Pisses me off so bad lol.
Cory Walters get this bro it will fix it

Cory Walters have u gotten it yet?
Please follow the instructions, when installed correctly you won't get any error codes.
I installed my mfer1 twice now. Followed instruction and watched this video and still getting check engine light.
Please text or call me , my info is with the kit.
I need some info from you on your install.
After I installed it, my exhaust pop less, seem to be a little quieter and muffled.
from experience it is possible that the valve is closed even though it is supposed to be open.

You probably tightened the screws too much and the spring can not work properly.

Any effects on warranty?
i heard no effect on warranty.
I dont know man i put these on and to me it sounds quieter maybe i put em on wrong or something

But nothing hold the valve open ??
The plate that you install holds the valve open . Watch the video.
What exactly does this to just hold the valves open while allowing the motor to cycle as though it is activating a valve?
thats how it appears to me. that round plate holds the valve open permanently.
Yes, that's it to a T.
Yes, Pete, I actually couldnt believe someone marketed that shoddy #$%^..lol
Why even put motor back on just leave it off???
It will set trouble codes and CEL.
$150?!?!?!? Bit greedy i think. Remove the needless engraving and MFER1 cut out to save money and time. I would be a buyer...but not at $150....

Wassenhoven420 someone commented that if you own a 6.4 then 150 should be no issue but they deleted their comment.
