Coonamessett River Restoration: Phase 2 groundbreaking

Federal, state and local partners, volunteers and interested citizens gathered recently to celebrate the groundbreaking for Phase 2 of the Coonamessett River Restoration project. The conversion of this human-altered river back to a natural wetland and herring run has been a long time in the making. Phase 1, completed in 2018, has been a resounding success.
