I found your channel through Colin Furze BMW E30 restoration, and I am now working my way through all of your videos. Either format works for me, it's the fascination of watching you take a flat sheet of metal and shape into the exact piece to fit the required part of the car or making after-market parts fit exactly. I am loving the MK1 Ford Escort RS200 restoration because that is my era.
I love it. I wouldn't care if the commentary was in Martian although I do love a good Yorkshire accent. And that from a Lancashire Lad. Pure artistry! Brian
This format is excellent and one of the best videos I have seen from you. I personally learnt a lot. Keep it up.
Hi Steve, I really appreciate the way you simplified how to make this complex shape by splitting it down, you really do have an eye for how to simplify it sometimes it’s hard to know how to make a work around. Really enjoyed this one, and please make more like this. Thanks.
The format is spot-on for me.
Top workmanship... don't worry about the H&S brigade 😂😂😂👍👍👍
Yes, it was great to get some information on why you were doing what you were - more please!
I like the new format. A little more explanation is always good. Thanks
Yes I like the talking and explanations in this format.
A bit nerdy maybe but I’d be interested to know the gauge of steel sheet you use for the different areas. Love the format where you explain as you go. Great stuff.
Maybe an FAQ page somewhere - primer used, pre-weld spray stuff (special primer?) How did you manage before the belt file!?? Do you ever leave rust and 'kill' it with acid/primer stuff? Are vehicles ever subject to Gov inspection after a deep rebuild? - like the Disatsun
A masterclass in metal fabrication ,
Another great episode, I personally prefer the new format, but either format is good
Love to see more talking and explaining. Great video!
Entertaining and educational...just wish TH-cam hade been around 30 years ago!
Would anyone else be scared to get a handshake off Steve? The way he uses those tin snips to effortlessly cut though the sheet metal, is just another skill I'm in awe of when watching these videos! 💪
Thank you :)
Good to have the explanation in there it’s all been like magic to me up to now😅
Brilliant…I loved the format…nice work 👌👍
The rot was exactly the same as my 1972 Mexico Rally car after a year or two in the forests. Your workmanship was way better than my local welder's repair efforts.
Great episode, wonderful to gain insight and learn from a Jedi Master.
Great work on the rust repair.
Thank you :)
Definitely a +1 for the format
When I was growing up, there was a chap in our village who was lauded as a fantastic panel beater.
I always thought that meant that he was good at getting dents out of cars.
I only had the realisation of the truth a couple of episodes ago, and I'll be 64 next week!!
Fantastic work Steve. Thanks as always for sharing.
Brilliant format more like this please
O yes, I like the format of this video as enthusiasts can gain much insight into the tricky bits. Thank you for sharing. 🔧🔩
I've been watching yours and Ryan's skills in Metal Origami since Matt brought his 635 in and now I'm addicted😅
I've been doing my restoration on a Clio Williams and no how long it takes to make little panels and the welding takes a lot of practice and a decent welder.
On a different note, I'm also a little concerned about doing all this welding without a Mask. I've done it and realised that it's not good for me. The Last thing we want is Cancer. I see Ryan is wearing all the kit, i know it's a Pain to wear but worth it for the future!!
Good format, this channel gets better and better
Brillant again. I see 100K subs coming up!
Great to see the workmanship that goes into repairing these classic cars. Amazed at how many cars you have on the go at any one time.
Love seeing this come together. Thanks for covering so much! Hoping to take from this and restore my own car soon
Love the explanation video, but to be honest i could have watched you getting the haircut and been happy too😂
This format is excellent, thankyou.
I like the new format. Keep up the good work
Great stuff again Steve and enjoyed the explanations as to why you do things in certain ways....I did used to do some vehicle restoration (Beetles mainly) back in the mid 80's but we used bought panels and rarely had stuff as complex as you deal with.
Great to see you saving another classic! 👍👍
Thank you for your support Garffey :)
AT LAST - a great channel showing proper restoration and repair work . just discovered your channel and instantly subscribed , love the format with a little explanation and lots of content . thanks for sharing - and for the extra behind the scenes work editing and presenting these videos . BTW i used to do this work on Escorts myself in the days of gas welding and pattern parts were few .
great work can't wait for the next one !
I enjoy how this gentleman does his work beautifully
Nicely done
Always interesting to hear you talking about your work. Yes, it is helpful to hear your strategy for addressing something complex. All the best.
Great work on this Escort!
Very much liked the tweaked format. Such a joy to see a proper job being done.
Steve, i think your explaining how and why is the best part of it. Vids are as much an education as entertainment so go for it. There are some channels that are full o 25:49 f the one off wise cracks and short on the detail, which is a real shame, but getting that balance is difficult, you get no complaints from me, Joe
The new format is definitely a thumbs up from me. Brilliant video as always.
Enjoyed the new format a lot thank you
Yes Steve, explaining as you go is a great format.
Love this format, excellent explanation ❤
Flattening out those bends, then recreating them is cool! I was curious how to do that , and make it easy on you! 😉
Liking the format and pace
Perfect balance, best yet
Yes, I like the new format
Your kind of video format including explanations as well as Ryans way to do it with jokes und fun are great pleasure. The main thing is to watch your amazing skills to bring sheet metal in shape. Regards from Germany
Hiya Steve always enjoy your videos love the mk1 escort Rs2000 build and the format of the videos on of my all. Time favourite cars sine the 80's your doing an amazing job keep up the great work 👍♥️
My favourite ford
brillant work uncle steve
Really good Steve 👍
I really enjoy the planning steps and descriptions. Sharing your skills is a real gift. and your workshop, is fantastic.
Many years ago, I had a 160 amp stick welder with a bit of 15 amp fuse wire soldered on the outside of a blown fuse so I could run it turned up full, a grinder and some hammers.
Working on the street out of a van. Mainly I did sills and floor patches. Keeping old cars on the road one MOT at a time. It is good to see it done properly..:)
Really enjoyed the explanations mate
i like the new format steve great job on the wing and strutt panel keep em comming...
my comments on the format of the videos you do: perfect.
Nice one Steve, appreciate the explanations. Thanks
You've got this one by the short and curlies, Steve. Another great and skillful presentation
I realise it's not your problem, but if this is a genuine RS2000, I'd say it's been reshelled at some time in it's life. The only evidence of type 49 strengthening I've noticed, is what you've added. That said, if it IS genuine, then it's not surprising it's been reshelled! 😉
Cracking job though, keep it up. I can't tell you how many of these I've welded up over the years, many of them on the side of the road. I feel for ya bud!
Hello 👋 good buddy Steve I really appreciate the uploads in watching you fabricate panels, you and Ryan are the best I love to see you guys work together ❤️ I hope you all have a wonderful weekend

I much prefer the new format Steve, great to hear how you plan on tackling the next chapter in the restoration. Again a great repair to the nearside upper bulkhead. The front end is effectively done now 😎

Yeh Steve, much prefer this new format. Keep them coming. 100K Subscribers by Christmas maybe?
I really enjoyed this format, your explanations certainly do add considerable value to your videos Steve, keep it up! Love your work and your channel! 🇦🇺👍👏👏👏
Speaking as a metalwork virgin, even though I’m sixty, its fascinating to hear how you work through the process of restoration. It never ceases to amaze me how so many aspects are common to other practices. I do a lot of art both via a computer paint system and by free hand. The analysis of deconstruction is very similar to how i construct computer images from reference material.
Enjoyed hearing the thinking behind your thought process 👍
Like the format
yes.....enjoying the explaining what you are doing as your going along
Looks like metal work is almost done? Agree with others, please take care of yourself, I want to keep seeing your content for a long time to come!❤️
Superb video format Steve…same adjective applies to fabrication & metalwork.
Brilliant restore of a mark 1 👍👍
Formats good. Cannae beat some technical speak😉

Brilliant love watching you guys,in envy of your expertise keep up the good work lads.
super episode
Steve. I recently bought a belt sander/grinder but the belts don't last too long. What spec of blue belt do you use, ie make, grit, supplier, etc. Thanks for another great video I always learn so much from you, even more with you explaining everything.
Very good vlog can’t wait for the next one
