every time I try to pair the Apple Watch series 3 to my iPhone series 3, it says my iPhone needs to have the newest version, but then I go to settings on my iPhone, and it says everything is up to date

That is because Iphone 3 is not compatible with any apple watch. The only compatable phones for it is just 6s, and all the higher ones...

Yes because they have the same bluetooth version but the 4 or 5 i dont think so

1) get on laptop -log into iCloud -go to settings forget Apple Watch 7
2) turn off Apple Watch then turn back on
3) go to WiFi on Apple Watch and connect hotspot on phone to watch it will connect

then you need to upmair apple watch by going to *apple watch app * then *settings* and on the top of the page click _apple watch_ then click the "i" and -un-pair Apple Watch-
