When I read that I am about to watch an "unboxing" video I normally cringe. Unboxing videos are normally someone opening the box and trying to review with zero knowledge. By contrast, this was a GREAT review of the saw (which I am thinking about buying tomorrow to make some cabinet fronts). Very organized, articulate, and knowledgeable about the product. Would have been nice to see if the cut was improved by turning the piece over and having the finished side down. Overall, though, great video and I think I will go buy this thing tomorrow and make some sawdust.
Great review! Thanks! I bought the saw on sale at Menards for $79.95 less 11%! That's a deal. it's not a Festool, but it just fine for an average wood-butcher like me. I contacted the manufacturer (in Canada) and they were very helpful. An additional track plus joiners would be $94 including shipping! I chuckled and said, "No, thanks", I'll just buy another saw. ;) I've used several times and find it very useful and accurate. Thanks, again, for the review.
Having done a few how-to videos myself, I have to say that your presentation was very smooth and easy to understand as well as informative. I have used a piece of plywood with a guide attached for many years but the price on this and ease of use might convince me to buy one.
One thing I was shown by a master wood worker is not to butt the track together Use straight edge on side and leave a small gap between tracks .Two joiners also help. and don't over tighten the screws which causes tracks to shift.
Wow. Nice video. I agree with the others. NICE VIDEO. As a do it yourself guy and tradesman, you told everything I need to know. I will absolutely subscribe!
I was curious if after 3 years of use now how well the saw works? Do you still use it? Have you used it regularly?Would you still recommend it?Will it hold it's own in a professional setting?I don't mean to be a pest but it is very hard to find any info on this saw let alone any Masterforce brand tools, I recently bought some of their mechanics tools and have to say I am impressed so far but once again good luck finding any info on them.
I actually don't use the saw as much as I thought I would. If I need to make a nice straight cut, it's good to have, but most the time I break large pieces down with my cordless circular saw and then make more precise cuts on the table saw. As far as product durability though, I've had no issues. The saw still works like the day I made the video.
Pretty good score on th set and a nice reveiw i am on the East Coast and we don’t. Have any Menards stores Am going to look on their website and see if they. Do mail order at all. As I wouldn’t mind having something small to break down sheet. Goods
Good review! I was curious about this track saw because it was on sale last week. Too bad about the small sections of track with no extension kits. Without the ability to go 8 feet and with so many joints to cause problems, I think this might be a pass. I'm wondering if the Grizzly mini track saw might be a better value.

great review
Just how well does that multi-piece track maintain its straightness & rigidity after it has been assembled & taken down 125 times?
I've only used the track 3-4 times now, but so far straight and ridid hasn't been a problem.
