Signatures are my choice in cymbals for all the same reasons you mentioned here. I’ve used them in every situation from a rock band to a church worship team, and they always sit perfectly in the music. I’ve even had non-drummers come up to me and compliment the sound of my cymbals - I can’t think of a better endorsement than that !
Great playing as always, Nick. Kudos to the whole band here.

Great playing, and Nick, you are fantastic. But you seriously say the same thing in every video. "Feels great under the hands." "Super versatile". I want to hear something real every once in a while. "These are better in this sort of setting than this genre" or something like that. Litterally every cymbal review video is the same.

Nick is spot on when he said the Signature Series line fits all kinds of musical styles.
I'm primarily a deathmetal/blackmetal drummer (I play funk, pop, punk and prog rock as well, I just perfer to play faster music that's busy) and my set up contains mostly Signature Series cymbals.
I really got into Signature Series because I had a few Sound Formula cymbals in the 90's and they are just about identical in terms of look, build, tone, etc. Paiste basically discontinued the Sound Formula name, renamed it Signature Series, tweaked the manufacturing a tiny bit, then added/subtracted models.
    I'm using:
    14" Sound Formula Heavy Hi-Hats
    13" Alpha Medium Hi-Hats
(I'll be upgrading soon with either
    13" Signature Dark Crisp, 2002
    Sound Edge, or 12" Rhythmatist
    Hi-Hats)
    20" Signature Series Dry Ride
    19" Signature Series Full Crash
    16" Signature Series Fast Crash
    10" Signature Reflector Splash
    10" Signature Series Splash
    18" Rude Novo China
    16" Signature Series Thin China
(I have to replace this soon, it's
    losing it's shape)

I think they're great for those who like compressed sounding, glassy cymbals, and those whose bands play generally lower tones, but they lack the midrange, punch and richness I get from my Sabian's. To each their own, but after seeing RHCP in concert with Chad Smith's new paiste endorsement a couple months ago, yeah not for me.

As beautiful as they sound, they're the loudest cymbals I've ever played and I wish more people would mention this. I was trying not to get yelled at by my neighbors, ha ha. I wouldn't recommend the full crashes for a small gig or calm jazz. They sound absolutely stunning though
