@@SDSXellan Alucard had the exact same kit as Riven in Season 1 and then he got reworked for the first time into a vamp bruiser. When Ruby released I replaced him since he got outshadowed by the entire meta, specially Alpha, and they had to rework him again years later, hence why his current version is so dependant on vamp. He sits in a below average tier while my girl Ruby is one of the best fighters in the game, I'm actually sorry for him xd

Honor Of Kings, the Chinese version of AoV by the same devs (or rather Arena of Valor being the Global version of HoK) released before Mobile Legends, with AoV releasing merely a few months after Mobile Legends the following year. Odds are more like that Mobile Legends ripped off HoK due it to it's massive success in china, for a global version, with TiMi and Tencent responding with AoV as a competitor.
It was their western version of HoK according to them (or at least that's the general consensus)

I've always been a fan of LoL, but my go to device is my phone, so I've always wanted an LoL for it. In those times, Mobile Legends is the only decent choice for a LoL Mobile version. Wild Rift is so late that when it released, I've had too much progress and spent so much on Mobile Legends that i don't want to migrate to Wild Rift. Not to mention you cannot import your LoL PC account to Wild Rift, so it's back to square one in Wild Rift.
Some other knock off champs I noticed:

Yes, yes, the original heroes are from the many Blizzard games (including the Nexus, since y'all wanna be picky). However, in the context of a MOBA game, they are from HotS. I sincerely doubt these people modeled the characters in a MOBA setting themselves, and instead took it from the one Blizzard MOBA game.
They are from WoW And Diablo

My man. I have played WoW for over a decade and I played Diablo simultaneously as well. I am pretty well aware where they are from, however in the context of a MOBA, they are from HotS. Also, if you wanna get technical, Gazlowe is originally from Warcraft. World of Warcraft is a spin-off of the strategy game. =)
@@Jemme95 no shit. But the game who took those characters, got inspiration from moba games. So they took it by looking at heroes of the storm, not the other games
Honor of kings is actually made by riots parent company when riot refused to make their game mobile(This was way before wild rift).
and AOV is basically honor of kings global version

The first game is definitely a rip off but as far as ahri goes, nine tailed fox demon also charmed people on folklore

On the bot lane, the last one of the bunch gives a bit of extra gold, and the one on solo lane gives extra exp. On mid they just added an extra minion, that's it

i remember playing mobile legends just cuz I didn't have acess on pc for league and once I actually got to league, I just laughed about the comparisons like, they have a character where his entire kit is literally just Riven's Q and passive 😭

Also due to the nature of moba games you cant rly not copy certain kit. Like league has 150+ champs and they were all tested etc there were a lot of diffrent mechanics/skills in testing that simply didnt fit moba game. So every moba will just be the same thing recycled over and over again. Remember lol also started as a dota rip off.
@@mlekosojowe7312 I myself never got into Dota, one reason was that you got all the characters for free, League legge it more interesting that you had to farm for it, tho I'm really sad that they stopped giving us little amount of blue essence, like, they could still do it now as a low value so we can get champs easier

Okay so to be fair mobile legends definitely ripped league but also created the yuumi-esque character like a year and a half before league so it goes both ways because I mained the shit outta the yuumi-esque character before she was in league
yeah Angela from mobile legends was released in 2018 her ult is similar to yummi
(you can latch onto your allies and charge your skill) but the biggest difference is angela has heal shield and stun why yummi just kinda sit there and span her skills lol
Yummi is a combo of braum and sona
The fact angela is one of ml's most loved heros wile yuumi is one of the most hated is funny
Should have mentioned that that one mobile ad that ripped Aatrox quotes for a character just as a short one.
Honestly it really is riot's fault for mobile legends success, can't even be mad at them anymore

Another reason why MLBB is better/more liked than Wild Rift is because they are not forcing players to know every mechanic and be a pro at the game, you can just play casually and have fun to pass time. Riot is too focused on "competitive play" which makes it difficult for casual players.

Interesting thumbnail. I wonder if Yummi was a covert psy-op after all, intentionally designed, nay perfected, to be a trashfire stinky enough to tank entire games. The logic, of course, is that the rip-offs will thoughtlessly emulate it and introduce this deadly pathogen in their game. Inevitably they will drive away every last player at the same pace as riot, but being smaller, younger and less resistant they will burn out quickly while riot shrugs the damage off and rebounds.
Brilliant strategy! Now that I think of it, the mastermind behind it might also be heading league's entire design team for the past three or four years...
Fun fact: Yuumi is in itself a Ripoff of Angela from Mobile Legends, Angela was released first than yuumi they have the same skills and playstyle lmao
Coming back from lol and playing ml again, not only did i realized that some abilities from ml were similar to lol, but the items too. Holy crystal works the same way as rabadons deathcap. Demon hunter also works the same as BOTRK. These are some items I saw that worked kinda the same as items in lol

As someone who played mlbb, that game was so frustrating, unbalanced, and pay-to-win. I played it when it first came out, so maybe its changed, but when I played it, all of the op/strongest champs costed so much in game currency that really the only way to get them was to just spend money, and not only that, but using a skin (which costs money) gives you in game buffs. That's the definition of pay-to-win. There was also an exclusive champion that you could only get if you paid money, and that champ was arguably the strongest champ in the game
paid skins or not they all had +8 stats regardless of skin rarity. ive been mythic my entire ml career and yeah there are some overtuned buffs or revamps/reworks here and there but thats what the ban pick is for. as for the p2w? sounds just like a skill issue to me bro

I played both of them (wild rift and mobile legend). On community perspective, mobile legends already had championship, pro player, upgraded UI, and so on before wild rift release, they just can't beat mobile legend in SEA. On gameplay perspective, ML more fast-paced than WR, faster matchmaking, i even fell asleep while playing WR because in ML the map is smaller and almost all the heroes had blink or movement ability, even tanks.

idk if you would compare Gloo to Zac, cuz Gloo is good at 1 but Zac seems more versatile

oh my GODDD on the anime moba calling pokémon Elf balls, there’s this super bootleg vietnamese version of pokémon crystal that was translated back to english, and they call pokémon Elfs
as a mobile player who barely play pc games, i think that mobile legends and as you said "it's ripoff" is actually quite good.
Also most of them mostly played in asia, and most of people in here play LoL so maybe my and yours point of view is not the same
And Arena of Valor for me is not Mobile Legends ripoff since it's created by timi studio, a studio from tencent (self-explanatory ig)

The controls are very clunky and outdated
Skin prices are way too overpriced and needs a lot of effort put into it
Skins give additional attributes which makes it lowkey pay to win
The voice lines doesn't make any sense and most of the champions are trying so hard to be badass it's like 13 year olds finding out about jeff the killer and making it their entire personality
And oh god their music is awful they don't even put effort in their lyrics
They make so much money yet they put little to none effort into their game

I played that game in 6th grade(elementary) I'm in college 1st year, can't believe that game is still running
I believe the reason why mobile legends is so popular is because is was the closest we had to a Mobile League of Legends since so many years ago and so it built a pretty big playerbase while Wild Rift was getting released
Yeah it took Riot way too much time to do a mobile version even tho people were asking for it since season 3.
The reason why mobile legends is popolar it is because it is effectively a good game, better than wild rift, and though originally it has copied lol, now it is a indipendent game. The developers are active and bring new content and reworks every month, the match making is much more fair and there arent any problem of smurfing

It's quite disappointing to be perfectly honest, hopefully the new lawsuit forces them to make major changes that will actually differentiate them from LOL as well as Wildrift.

(we don't talk about Arena of Valor, which released after MLBB just 4 months, since it's just the international ver of HOK)
I used to play lol alot but when I got a taste of mobile legends joy stick instead to clicking my way to victory I got addicted.
If they put back the PvE games like the star guardian game mode on wild rift they would definitely rise in popularity but knowing riot they won't, even tho they know this by now

I remembered there were no mining mini-game less champs to pick and the boss level were strategically fun, best part is, where you can just farm the enemies from a far while they keep spawning

As someone who played LoL pc back in the days i must say Mobile Legend is a pretty good alternative if you want to play 5v5 game on mobile. As you grow old and have a job, playing on PC is no longer an option, so i transfer to Mobile Legend. It took years for Riot to release Wild Rift and as someone who played Mobile Legend for years, throwing my account for WR isn't worth it anymore.

And i was so confuse dont now what to do and keep dying again and again i dont now about these character but im still learning the download take forever. Mlbb is so populer in southeast asia(not all of them). Moonton make kadita for the indonesia people and i rly like it but my coins is low.

LOL is wildly popular here in the Philippines, but most of the gamers here are to poor to afford a pc hence why settle for pc rental. And when Mobile Legends came, all the gamers who wished they can play moba on phone immediately downloaded it. If Riot made wildrift in 2018 or earlier, they'll dominate the market for sure

Mobile legends is given too much flack for being a ripoff even though it's characters actually have completely different stories, yeah they took inspiration for the character abilities, after all it's game design, it's hard to be original all the time, but the skins and character designs and stories are unique, and they are getting even more creative with character designs
i played mobile legends before playing wild rift. at least it helped me main caitlyn and orianna easily.
Me playing both wild rift and mobile legends. I guess it's kinda the same but in terms of gameplay. I think ml is a bit more fast paced than wild rift. While wild rift is more strategic, mobile legends really don't care about strategy that much(i might be wrong on this)
ML does care about strategy but the strategy in ML is more on the items and rotation and counter picks but in lower ranks strategy is often non existent (grand master below)

I used to play Mobile Legends. Genuinely thought is was the mobile version of league 5 years ago. I always wanted to play real league because of channels like lily pichu. It was all I could play at the time.

I used to play Arena of Valor and it wasn't even bad. I would say it's the best mobile MOBA, maybe Wild Rift now.
