She was involved in the last murder-death-kill (Archer mentioned in this episode that the last war was really brutal) and from context, her last master used a lot of explosives and she has PTSD of that. Not hard to figure out this stuff. Or do you mean the frequent references to Shirou and Archer having SOME kind of connection? I just treat that as foreshadowing for an eventual reveal. The comment about the moon? That's worldbuilding to me. The marble rant? Shirou's dad was established to have been involved in the last war, I picked up on that being a veiled lament on what he did during it. This stuff isn't hard to figure out.
Word of warning, Fate can be Kingdom Hearts level of complex. Especially the intricacies of the magecraft system and all the different rules and philosophies that get thrown around.

I dont understand why would you watch an abridged series of a show you've never watched. You will get spoiled, but more importantly you wont get most of the joke. Especially when Project Mouthwash follows the lore so tightly.
To be hones, I watched this series without ever having seen Fate. I checked out a bit of UBW afterwards and found I actually prefer THIS version of the characters. I find them more vibrant and entertaining and the fights carry more energy to me. So now I actually see the Original UBW as spoilers to the abridged series (Though I have started watching and enjoying Fate: Zero). I feel Project Mouthwash gives more than enough context to piece together the lore as the series goes on, and and things that are still unanswered (like "What the Hell is Actually Satan's PROBLEM with that kid??") Seem like they're intentional mysteries. It feels like this would have been a mystery in the original. (My current theory is, given the flashbacks, he's an Archer from a different route who died because Rin ordered him to protect Shirou and now he's trying to make sure he doesn't die because of Shirou again.) No spoilers please. :)

My theory above was DIRECTLY stated to be "Here's what I'm getting so far", and is almost certainly way off. I'm complimenting Project Mouthwash for being able to write a show that is obviously full of fanservice and references to the deeper lore, yet feels totally accessible and enjoyable to a newcomer like me. I don't ever feel like I'm locked out of the loop while watching the series.
This is one of those things where you have to be a fan before watching this. It's not newcomer friendly like DBZA. Also, if you're going to get into the Fate franchise, try to play the original Visual Novel. It was only released in Japan but there are fan translations. However if you just want to watch the anime instead, the best order I can recommend is Unlimited Blade Works, Heavens Feel, Fate Zero, and not the Studio Deen anime
you're wrong, every fate show assumes you've seen the og deen stay night or played the vn and ubw is skip able if you just watch the abridged version as it tells the same story way better and is better written and has better voice acting and is much shorter so ubw is just a big waste of time that isn't even that good

"satan made me tea" i don't think you missed the joke more like the tempo... so the abridged just throwed foreshadows one after another &as someone that know the story's secrets i totaly understand them, rin interupt it with low comic realism(which happend to be cute in her case), instead of leading thoes moments to revalation or something.. rin turned it down joking that satan made her the tea she drinks... also if look realy into it (geek way) rin decided to turn of the foreshadows train by reality check, giving short convo of him,her and what they doing now.. it may be silly but can interupt of her saying something like "lets talk more causiosely"
I understand you're confusion. Fate for beginners goes. Fate/zero (the prequel). Fate Stay Night Unlimited Blade Works (part of the main story). After that you now know 75% of the fate lore, and from watching you're videos I think you would enjoy Fate zero. It's a very good show and is one of the best prequels I've ever seen. Keep up the good work man.

this is like the 7th time I am watching the abridged and I just got the bite me gag.
A lot of it is an In-Joke a big In-Joke that expects you to know the characters from the original.
The in jokes are probably there. But I was able to enjoy it fine without ever having seen the original.
