Love your reactions!! May I ask how you deal with copyright. Like is this video not able to be monetized. Or as long as you watch the music video is it free use as long as your face is there to react. Super curious on how this works. 😊
I've listened to a lot of Linkin Park recently and I think LIVING THINGS is underrated. It's got some really good songs on it: CASTLE OF GLASS, ROADS UNTRAVELED, BURN IT DOWN, LOST IN THE ECHO, POWERLESS. ROADS UNTRAVELED is great for when you want a song to rip your heart in half. The "it's different so it sucks" crowd can kick rocks.
LP were so ahead of the times it’s simply a miracle that the majority of the studio albums got released when they did as the track on them were either ahead of the roller coaster and made them pioneers of their genre to coming out bang on when the hype train was still alive
Everything you said is what I’ve been saying since the release. It’s a shame how many “fans” get whenever a band goes a different route for once. Powerless is a hidden gem for real.
It was my first LP album, just after I discovered them and it's my absolute fav. Totally agree with the songs being gut wrenching as hell which makes me like it even more.
Ray, I'm sorry I can't watch this... As a former team leader, it was my job to deliver this message along with the lost team members "death letter". A task I wish I could forget about. In 11 deployments I lost 7 of my brothers.
Yeah, this one hits home for me too. My dad was in the Army. Thankfully he didn’t die in any deployment, but as a military kid who basically grew up without a dad, I at least somewhat understand the sacrifices you made. Thank you for your service, Sir 🫡
Thank you for what you do. While I know it's a large burden to bear, know that it's an important one. But also don't forget to be mindful of your mental and take care of yourself. Your light is important, too.
This is exactly what made Linkin Park so unique and different, it connects with everyone in someway somehow. All their music has an undertone and meaning which gives it incredible emotion and comfort, volumising the fact you're not alone. Their album Hybrid Theory was the first I ever Brought back when released and I've been a fan ever since, their music is still what I listen to daily. Really great reaction video, I'm now a subscriber, thank you.
I love Linkin Park. That's why I want to recommend two songs (BURN IT DOWN- Linkin Park) and (Linkin Park - Papercut) without a doubt these are part of his greatest SUCCESSES
For your Information.... They kinda made the song for the 2nd Medal of Honor videogame of the reboot series. For the first one they made the song "The Catalyst" or at least this two songs were heavily promoted by these 2 Medal of Honor games
Ray, this was a tougher one. I did 3 tours in Afghanistan. I had to do this notification. You know what happens every time you lock it up every time. Just to break apart later.
Every time I listen to this song I picture the music video in my head and I remember how sad this song and what the meaning of this song is RIP Chester 🖤🤘
Hi Ray. I just wanted to say that your channel has become one of my favorite reaction channels. You are so friendly, funny and genuinely charismatic. You transmit such good energy, an immense feeling of joy. A person may be having a horrible day but just coming here quickly improves their mood and feels comforted. You are a unique, special person, a rare jewel. Congratulations and I wish you all the success in the world!
Yeah, after Meteora, pretty much every single LP album experimented with a different style of music. Hybrid Theory and Meteora were the classic rap-rock, or nu-metal. Minutes To Midnight was more alt-rock. A Thousand Suns was very electronic and experimental. Living Things was more electronic-rock than ATS. The Hunting Party was straight up hard-rock. Their final album, One More Light, was pop. This one is from Living Things.
Linkin Park wrote this song for a Playstation video game called Medal of Honor back in 2012. Linkin Park also wrote songs for the 3 Transformer Movies and Chester was actually in one of the Scream horror movie and later the newest Scream movie Mike wrote a song for that as well.
more specifically the ending sequence for Medal of Honor: Warfighter, in case anyone wants to look it up. also it's not just a Playstation game, it was available for the Xbox 360 as well as PC
Linkin Park changed their genre every album, you'll get confused if you pick their songs randomly. For instance this song is already far from their original genre 10-12 years before.
Some humidity tips for reaction: "Chop Suey!" by System of a Down "Happy?" by Mudvayne "Stupify" by Disturbed "Digital Bath" by Deftones "Hater" by Korn "Broken" by Seether ft. Amy Lee "One Step Closer" by Linkin Park "Break Stuff" by Limp Bizkit "Dear Agony" by Breaking Benjamin "Dead Memories" by Slipknot "How Can I Live" by Ill Niño "Rotoscope" by Spiritbox "Whole" by Flaw
RIP Chester. Linkin Park's music will live on forever. Even though we live in the cold land of Sweden, their music inspired us in many (sometimes too obvious) ways. Feel free to judge for yourself. Much love from Sverige.
Good reaction! One of my favorite LP songs. Btw, we need more reactions to LP, personally, i recommend In Pieces, What I've Done, Shadow of the day, Lost in the echo.
the two Medal Of Honor games still remain as the best story I have played through. After the first one I was reminded that there is, in fact, not always a happy ending to a heroes story. I am sure that I am biased because of hearing this song and The Catalyst after getting emotionally destroyed not 5 minutes before. The first game was actually how I started to listen to Linkin Park in the first place, not one year before Chester's passing. I don't see this song on your channel so I would LOVE for you to react to it when you find some time Linkin Park - The Catalyst The moment I feel ready and know that I can make it, I'm joining my country's army. I might be just a cog in the machine, or I might be the one man who's absence would mean a loss of lives. We'll see
So fun fact this was made for the game Medal of Honor: Warfighter which is based on true events. It’s speculated especially in this video around the MoH community that Preacher’s father (the boy in the beginning) never made it back and he followed in his father’s footsteps and became a Tier 1 operator for the Seals, put into AFO Neptune. The girl at the end is also speculated to be the daughter of one of his brothers call sign “Rabbit” (who was possibly based on John Chapman who earned the Medal of Honor fighting the Taliban on Taku Ghar in Afghanistan) who died up on Taku Ghar after he was captured by the Taliban and ultimately died from his wounds before Medevac could get to them
I believe you should also checkout "A Thousand Suns" (their best album in my opinion) and Grey Daze (Grey Daze was Chester's band before Linkin Park). In 2020, Grey Daze remade the songs Chester had recorded with the band and gave them a completely new direction.
i cherish this song so much for few things. it was released in my darkest days in 2012. it makes ppl realize how human life is fragile and can fade away and also this is probably one of the best video game collaboration
Mon rêve d'enfant était d'aller le voir en concert... A chaque fois que j'écoute ses chansons, je suis triste même si je comprends son geste. Il nous manque beaucoup !
My favorite song of this album (not easy to choose) is “All For Nothing.” There’s a song from their previous album that I wish had gotten a video: When They Come For Me Both of those albums are favorites of mine because when I started listening to them I had to check the CD cover to make sure I actually had purchased a LP album. I love that these guys didn’t keep their music the same throughout their careers and I respect any band that is willing to explore new territory with their art.
I have to say i love the page. And as a diehard LP fan for nearly 25 years, i love the choices. But listen to Given Up. Its a song that we should have all taken more notice too.
Their whole thing as a band has always been that they have many styles. But this is one of the very few times that they experimented with sounds from the country genre. The music video was conceived of long after the song was written, as a video game tie-in.
They did this for the continuing saga of Metal of Honor being Warfighter being the next installment. Also, they had a promo trailer for this game, which is more chaotic, and War with Lies Greed Misery as the song of choice.
Sorry I like your videos and everything... But, I was wondering if it is really the first time you are hearing this? Dont get me wrong I can see someone getting into new music type... But this has to be one of the most famous and iconic songs of all times, in whole music industry, how you didnt heard it before?
If you ask me the vocals sound like they belong to a more dance song then a typical LP musical arrangement. Like, to me the arrangement and the vocals don't match and it's seems off but that's just my personal opinion ofcourse.
The way Linkin Park changes album by album I think is the important thing and the best thing with them. It's like a message that matures every album. Hard to put into words. God bless, miss you Chester.
Linking Park was experimenting with all sorts of genres and styles and was often ahead of their time. But many people were giving them shit for it because they wanted them to just keep doing their hybrid theory yells😅 Like for example when Heavy came out, the comments and reactions were unbearable.
The kid is not delivering the news at the end it was his dad delivering the news to the other family & then the young boy had to get the news of his dad being gone
Song was written for the Medal of Honor reboot series (Medal of Honor 2010 & Medal of Honor Warfighter 2013). Game follows Tier 1 Operatives (Navy Seals), in the first game the player character Rabbit named because he has 6 children) dies at the end of the game, in a mission which takes place during real life events (Operation Anaconda and Battle of Takur Ghar), Rabbit was modeled after Petty Officer 1st Class Neil C “Fifi” Roberts. In the second game you play as another character from the first (Preacher) and your team leader from previous game callisign ‘Mother’ dies with his funeral at the end. Couple of shots from the game are used in the video
Thank you so much for watching the video, I hope that you enjoyed it!

Roads Untraveled is a gem.
"May your love never end, and if you need a friend
There's a seat here alongside me"
these lyrics just hit home every time and I totally agree

I did the death notifications, too, so it's rough it just clings to you. I did 3 tours in Afghanistan. I try to hold on to the good.

Feel the same. Its lovely how same feelins emerge between different people
For your Information.... They kinda made the song for the 2nd Medal of Honor videogame of the reboot series.

Yeah, I bought the game because of this song and video.

Listen to this song without the video and it sounds good, listen to it with the video and you get so much more of the emotion.
Linkin Park has so much power over a human beings emotions it's so extreme.
Please react to Chester doing a cover of Adele's Rolling in the Deep
I believe you should also checkout "A Thousand Suns" (their best album in my opinion) and Grey Daze (Grey Daze was Chester's band before Linkin Park). In 2020, Grey Daze remade the songs Chester had recorded with the band and gave them a completely new direction.
R.I.P. All of our fallen heroes who gave their lives in service to their country and their brothers-in-arms.

U should check out mike Shinoda solo stuff. Mike was co founder rapper of Linkin park.
Their whole thing as a band has always been that they have many styles. But this is one of the very few times that they experimented with sounds from the country genre.

Hard to put into words. God bless, miss you Chester.
Love this song. It is one of the few Linkin Park songs I like that isn't on Minutes To Midnight. I was never into any of their rap-rock stuff.
Linking Park was experimenting with all sorts of genres and styles and was often ahead of their time. But many people were giving them shit for it because they wanted them to just keep doing their hybrid theory yells😅 Like for example when Heavy came out, the comments and reactions were unbearable.
