Mythic Star we had a teacher that was easily distracted. Kids would ask him about the war, and he would spend the entire lesson, even double lessons, rambling on about guns and battles instead of the lesson in hand. Kids are cruel, they only did it to avoid doing any work and sadly I dont think he realised at the time.

A few years ago I made a pilgrimage in my camper van to Avebury where it was originally filmed, solely because it was ingrained into my mind. The intro was very disturbing for a child, the theme music by Sidney Sager with Ambrosian Singers chanting and the low-angle, looming monoliths filmed with a wide-angle 'fish-eye' lens. soundcloud.com/the-mekon/children-of-the-stones-theme
Sidney with the singers would also go on to do the theme to Into The Labyrinth.

I started watch doctor who when I was 2- both my mum and dad watched it aswell as my older cousins. Whilst they were scared and had nightmares of the Daleks I didn’t really find anything scary about it but it still turned out to be my favourite show. I didn’t find the daleks, cyber men or weeping angels scary but I can admit getting a little bit freaking out at the waters of mars episode and the host from the Christmas special, Also the guy that gets possessed by the beast. I didn’t find Midnight scary until I was older.

There was one character I remembered from being a very small child. For a long time I thought I'd dreamt him up (literally), but then I found a picture of him online. I crapped myself even at 40.

Jamie the empty child in Doctor Who definitely frightened the figurative pants off me when I saw it as a kid but ive always thought the daleks were positively cute. Jamie was truly pants wettingly terrifying. My brother would then use the phrase "are you my mummy" in his prepubescent boyish voice just to terrify me for laughs. Funny because now, I think the episode is one of the best ive ever seen and the are you my mummy phrase is my ring tone for my brothers texts. Nosy bonk on the other hand OMG holly shit how in hell was that broadcast to thousands of children without at least a few parents writing in to complain that one of its main characters looks like he light murder you in your sleep. That face is straight out of hell and straight into my nightmares. Forget the empty child Jamie, nosy bonk takes the fekin cake for shit the bed terrifying.

YES, Demon Headmaster is No. 1, as a person who grew up in a time with no Doctor Who as a kid, what I can say about the Demon Headmaster is... THAT was the most terrifying show on telly... Me and my big sister always tuned in during the late 90's to enjoy being creeped out and frightened by the near disturbing qualities of the villain every 90's kid loved to be frightened by.

Two Gerry Anderson shows!!! And they super seed Doctor Who!!! I am a happy man!! You see, this is one of the good reasons why we have a UK version of WatchMojo. The main one would've only counted Doctor Who.

Despite being a Henson fan, his creepier stuff like Storyteller used to freak me out a bit. I like Gerry Anderson stuff as well but have never seen Terrahawks. I'd heard of it but thought it was one of their live action shows like UFO.
Another show which could have been on this list is Dizzy Heights/The House of Gristle. Although I still watched them (being a puppet fan) they were disturbingly ugly puppets.

Umm....I can't see what was terrifying about the Lion, Witch, Wardrobe. I loved it as a child. I found it entirely enchanting. Prince Caspian I found boring. Dawn Treader was the only one that I was a little nervous of, when the sea serpent attacks & twists itself around the ship, with Lucy's screams of horror. But it wasn't all that bad because I remember when watching it, that there were still more episodes left to air, so I knew everything would be ok!

I loved Jim Henson's The Storyteller. The actor shown in the clip with all the devils is the guy who played the warden from the first Jurassic Park who uttered the classic line, "Clever Girl!"
I hated those villains in Terrahawks. Absolutely hideous.
Day of the Triffods terrified me as a kid too and the Incredible Hulk.

Nosey Bonk, oh lord, stuff of my kid nightmares, the sparse straggle seaweed hair, truncheon nose, Stargazer make up white goth face, and fixed rictus grin, and yes he's still creepy now. I've had two exes (who I didn't like!) who resembled him as well which intensifies the all round ghastly vibe of this creation. Nothing else can come close.
I actually liked the Daleks, I thought they were cute, like huge moving whirling salt and pepper pots.
