    This was fantastic. They played like the Beatles on Steroids. Jimmy added a great dynamic.

    If only they had known that 40 years later people would still be coming across this song and playing it on repeat all day...

    I can already feel my voice blowing just watching him sing at the drums. I used to do that and it was a 23.7 percent chance I'd be able to hear myself.

    Saw them in 82 at the Bacchanal night club, San Diego. Drummer stopped playing drums in the middle of a song, and he maddly threw his drums on the floor and, in an angry voice, yelled, "Why isn't anyone dancing and if you people don't dance we are not going to play anymore." Nobody danced, but they kept on playing. All the people were at the Bacchanal, that night, to see The Producers.

    I saw them 1981 in New Orleans. They were the opening act for the Producers. They were wild, with that wall of Hiwatt amps behind them, they blew the Producers off the stage. The Producers were a great band too, but the Romantics are just too.good live, full of aggressive energy. The Producers surely should have been the opening act. I remember the Romantics playing 'A night like this', and 'Look at her.'. Just brutally good...

    Saw them open for Adam Ant in '83 if I remember the year correct, I was in college at UF. What a proper power pop new wave band. And their songs were great live too unlike alot of bands from that era. For me "One in a Million" is their best song. Love the video too, hot 80's babes, what's not to like?

      I heard he wanted to be a front man. When he left he started a band called Motor City Rockers and he did not play drums in that band. They really went no where. Saw them open for Cheap Trick in Detroit once. A few years later I saw him at a kiss concert. He sat a couple rows behind me. Motor City Rockers are on TH-cam.

      @dean4559 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No kidding? What ever happened to his gold top Les Paul? I saw them in 1981 in New Orleans. They were unreal. Coz would bend the neck of the gold top, making it sound like a whammy bar on a strat. It was wild. I tried doing it with my lp, couldn't get anywhere near what Coz did. How he didn't break it I have no idea. MAYBE he did? He was a great rock and roll guitarist.
