    Spoiler: The World: aem1k.com/world/
We spend our days creating large-scale applications byte by byte. But what happens at night when we get rid of bloated libraries and browser dependencies? What will we discover deep under the surface if we dissect the language of the web into its atomic parts?
In this talk we will hack tweet-sized games, write code in only six characters and create the self-modifying "Hello World" in less than 1024 bytes of JavaScript. All just for fun and without asking "Why?".
Prepare yourself for 140 slides full of old-school ASCII art and crazy code golfing!

This will be a new bedtime clip for me from now on. That was the best demonstration of intense critical thinking (aside from it being pre-made) I've ever seen. Something like this needs to be in every class curriculum around the world.

If Martin writes a book on JS it will be really good for beginners like us. The video is mind blowing.

Aah, you are right: Should be `document.querySelector`.

      Hi!
Most amazing programming talk I've seen so far. But where in the hell can I get to know some of the stuff you did? Like I didin't understand anything, but wondering for example what's happened when you put a dot before script tags??? how is it possible, doesn't html sees it as just dot? Man, where to leanr this kind of stuff, I know it takes practice, but I thought you can't just do some of the things

At around 29:17, did you mean `document.querySelectorAll` instead of `document.getElementsBySelector`?

    Ahem, querySelectorAll

I think you meant document.getElementsBySelector the same way some misguided standards person meant document.getElementsBySelector when they wrote document.querySelectorAll.
