Hi Cruisers, It's been a while since we've done one of these cruise food slideshows. In this video we take a look at some yummy cruise food on the Grand Princess. This is a slideshow of mostly dinner items from the Michelangelo dining room on the Grand Princess. These photos were taken during our 10 night Alaska cruise. We've included a few photos from the Crown Grill pub lunch, and a few from lunch in the MDR. If you our wondering what the food is like on the Grand Princess, then this slideshow will give you a good look. We've included lots of starters, main courses, and desserts. Of course, how dinner selections tastes is going to be highly subjective, but overall we were very happy with the food on the Grand Princess.

Hey Sheri, We are going on our first Princess Cruise next month. We’re doing a 15 day Panama Canal full transit aboard the Coral Princess, from Florida to San Francisco (My hometown!) Question for you; this food from your Grand Princess Cruise looks fantastic. Would you say that the food is pretty consistent across the Cruise Line? Should we expect the same quality and types of menu options? Through all of our cruising experiences we’ve only ever been dissatisfied with the food served on one cruise line. As it is such a personal preference thing I am not sure that I should identify that line by name… PS-I share Mr. Cruise tips TVs love of cold fruit soup! If it is on the appetizer menu every night, I order one every night! Yum! The coconut soup that you pictured looks amazing.

Are you able to see what is on the menu before going to main dining on most cruises?

Hi Sheree :) Just wondering, the food all had a shine to it and alot of meals the plate looked like pools of oil. We were considering going on this ship next year, but the food looked very very oily. If i see oil on the plate or food it instantly would turn me off, so i was just wondering, was the food quite oily? Or is it just how they look in the video?

Hi Debbie- No, it wasn’t oily at all. Likely what you’re noticing is the lighting in the MDR reflecting off the top of the dishes from what I can tell. Happy planning!
