We are at about the same age. I can't believe that you two are so good at managing your life and raising kids. Watching your videos make me feel relax and peaceful and sometimes I even laugh unconsciously. I am a young researcher and always feel anxious. Will you feel anxious occasionally (cause I couldn't feel any of it from your videos)? I am very surprised that how could you people live in this way, peaceful, happy, and fulfilling.
That's exactely what I thought and I'm wondering about the same thing. I really like Miriam and Yonghong's lifestyle, everything seems so neat and tranquil, a life centered on the essential. At the same time they are achieving so much. I think that both of them can be really proud of their achievements, be it familywise or in terms of their filmmaking / business. I'm also a young researcher struggling with anxiety and I wonder how Miriam manages her life so well.
I want you to know that both I and Yonghong have anxiety sometimes. I never experienced it until I got pregnant for the first time, so I think it has to do with the responsibility of having children. We are not always happy and at peace, we argue, get tired, and have unproductive nd unfulfilling days too. I just don't share it, I never feel inspired to film when I don't feel good. And I also don't want to put negative content out there - I think there is ebough stress and anxiety in the world. But I guess it's a fine balance, I don't want people to think we are living a perfect life always so peaceful. But I want my videos to be peaceful and relaxing, since it's the kind of feelings I feel worth spreading. If that makes any sense?

No one is happy all the time and no one is free of anxiety… well, most of us I guess. Still, I think you are a very brave and inspiring lady. It takes quite some courage to settle in a foreign country so far away such as China and it requires even more skills to adapt as well as you did. Very inspiring indeed. I like the message you’re spreading and I always feel happy and relaxed after watching your videos. :-)
I woke up to an amazing video..it is like watching a good movie...gee..you have so much wild greens around you..and edible too . I am like ...brought back to my childhood day stories I had read... It is always great to see you foraging! Ingvar seems very knowledgeable. We have wild leeks or 'ramps' as we call them, around where I live. If you chop them up very fine, or in a food processor, and add butter, it makes a delicious wild leek butter that adds flavour to anything. I often use it in scrambled eggs, and I make lots and store it in the freezer to enjoy later in the year. Your mother-in-law would be proud of you, making baozi Swedish-style! You are so adventurous. By the way, your paintings are lovely. You definitely have the touch of an artist!
Your soup reminded of the time during detox at Thailand when we were given a bowl of soup in the morning. All sorts of wild plants and organic leafy vegetables were blanched and puree to make the soup. To thicken the soup, pumpkin was added and also sacha inchi powder. That was another way to make the soup thick instead of using cream. All the wild vegetables chopped can also be added for extra flavour in a lentil base soup.
It seems that Sansan's Swedish has improved a lot! Have a good language speaking environment is so important for a child to master the language, congratz!
Just want to say I love this topic, so informative and educational. I never thought the leaves of my beech hedge are edible! We had a lot of nettles in our garden as well. I must try the nettle soup. It looks so tasty. Thanks for sharing this with us.
mmm.... all those different kinds of wild vegetables i've never seen before. looks delicious~ gotta make plans for some foraging hiking trips if i ever plan a visit to Scandinavia in spring.
Love rhubarb pie. I don't skin it though. Clean it, cut it up and put the pie together. Like adding apples that you did. I use strawberries for the extra sweetness. Great film on the plants.
I just WISH you would do some sort of collaboration with the Swedish TH-cam channel Talasbuan, you both have some kind of harmonious calm that is really relaxing to watch. You also seem to like similar things like making food and products based on special organic and natural ingredients :) they just put out a video on how to make a salve with beeswax, lanolin and calendula flower oil.
Because I'm interested in herbs, this was such a fun video for me. And it's good to know chocolate in Swedish - choklad. I googled it to get the spelling 😊 I believe we are all given different talents but they do not all come to the surface at the same time. This happens over our life time.

@@MiriamFollin only mini cucumbers, they are 10 cm, and I’ve growed them inside. Åland is as cold as Sweden, so still no chance to harvest the normal ones.

Im glad you seem to have good relationships with both :) I was attracted by your dad's art talent when I saw it in an espisode earlier, he seems to really enjoy what he does and he looks after himself very well (young at heart). You can add the fir tree tips into the soaps. They are great for the skin!

现在kirskål附近的地方有很多的蕨菜，蕨菜炒大蒜老干妈辣椒酱非常好吃，但是需要用开水煮一会把它捞出来再它撕开两半炒辣椒酱。Kirskå吃的方法有点像吃红薯叶，把叶子丢掉不吃，把根的老的下面也不要，耐心的去皮，留上面的嫩的根炒大蒜放胡椒盐生抽一点鸡精炒着吃，非常香，野韭菜如果在盐开水了煮半分钟捞出吃非常清甜，试试。切碎和鸡蛋混合煎鸡蛋吃太香了。

I am in northern USA and we have a lot of fireweed in our garden. I know it's a good tea, but I didn't know about cooking with it.
I didn't know its a good tea!! Had no idea. We use the shoots, when they are just about 10-15 cm for cooking. What parts do you use for tea?
