This may have cost you a packet but, unlike transient purchases such as exotic cars or holidays, your converted garage will give you pleasure for every day of your life from the day it was completed. Nice one and love everything about it!
I enjoyed this series of "Garage Mahal" videos. From the outside...it looks as though it's always been there. The inside looks better than any house I've ever lived in, too. Wishing you all many more decades of enjoyment of this space! Happy Christmas to you all.
What a fantastic garage. Congratulations to you and your contractors. Please make sure you increase your building sum insured to reflect the rebuilding cost. As a loss adjuster, I’ve unfortunately seen too many get people get caught out at the claims stage (may it never happen) which is stressful and heartbreaking. A reinstatement cost assessment is worth the modest cost as it will include the house and external features (walls, drive, sewer system etc). I’d suggest a site visit rather than a ‘desktop’ valuation. Also, make sure the contents of the garage are properly insured. Many policies restrict the level of cover for contents in garages and ‘outbuildings’. If not already done, I’m sure your broker/agent will help! Looking forward to seeing what cars ‘live’ in the garage over the coming years! 😊
It looks great. One thing I’ve learnt in life is when you do something someone will always say they would have been able to do it cheaper or buy it cheaper. If you enjoy the thing you’ve bought it doesn’t matter if someone could have done it cheaper.
Thoroughly enjoyed the series, been great to follow along and the transformation is truly fantastic! Hats off to all involved, the attention to detail is evident throughout. Thanks for taking us along for the ride 🏡
You've got to pay for quantity work, and it shows in this build. If you pay in peanuts, you get Monkeys. Excellent Garage, Peter... Your entire property has now sky rocketed in value. So your money has been very well spent, Peter. 👍
Looks stunning. When you take into account you’ve got an amazing garage, an office, kitchen, gym, bike storage, bathroom, kitchen and all to a very high standard it’s great value for money.
Gutters/ Barrel. That barrel will take 5 mins to fill You’ll need to put a proper drain / soak away in else all the water from the rod will make area near the door a mess. Will look out for you on the treadmill on Zwift. Surprised you didn’t go with KIKR RUN. Enjoy it!
You look so proud and happy, and you deserve to be! Congratulations for successfully completing a project that will add so much joy and health to your lives! Construction projects always costs always run over by quite a bit (I always just double my estimate), but ultimately it will pay off. Great start to what will be a great new year for the channel. I loved the series, almost wish you started a new project at this scale :-)
Mentioned it in a previous video, you need to get a Wahoo Kickr Climb to replace your front wheel on your turbo trainer set up. Makes Zwift so much more immersive, you definitely know your cycling up hill and takes Zwift and turbo training up another notch. Then get yourself a rocker plate, so much more comfortable and kinder to your body and bike.
It's been an awesome series to watch, really enjoyed watching your dream garage come alive. Excellent project. I'd like to wish you and your family and also the rest of your subscribers a very Merry Christmas 🎄 and a Prosperous New Year.
Peter, I'm a huge fan, and I never post negative comments on any channel, but, SORT out that cable management. It's playing havoc with my OCD. Merry Christmas to you and the wife. A beautiful garage, stuff dreams are made of.
Great garage, office, gym etc. As others have said, these types of projects never go 100% smoothly, but you got what you wanted in the end. It's been fun to follow along. 👍
Thanks for sharing your journey to ur dream garage and the ups and downs of the build! Ur a lucky boy sir! We look forward to watching the building ‘bed-in’ over the coming years! Maybe you could do a review a ‘before and after’ two or three years have passed? Happy Christmas to you guys..xx
Hi Pete, garage look lovely but what happens to rainwater when the barrel is full ? You really do need a soak away or drain . If there was no gutter on the old roof then water was dispersed across the drive, now it will be in one area of an overflowing barrel.
I love the colours of the house and matching the garage is a no-brainer! Great job and guess what the issue with the doors was an easy mistake and you fixed it so that's all that counts!
It's a true statement that you get what you pay for in this world! It's a cracking job & will serve you well for years to come & of course add value to the plot! Still don't think you should paint the outside though lol Has the auto doors gone out of the window now due to alterations? I've enjoyed all your videos on the garage, being in the trades I do appreciate all the work involved(seen & unseen) Best wishes to you & yours Pete & every success for 2025!! Cheers!
It looks brilliant I would love something like that and I would be as proud and happy as you are. Well done and thanks for sharing being open and honest about everything even when mistakes are made. It doesn’t matter how much it’s cost as long as you think it’s worth doing.
I sincerely hope the damp proofing works out in the long term. It looks great though, and with some acoustic tiles in the garage it would a great back drop for video production, in the same way Harry does his.
It turned out brilliant, and now you can relax and enjoy it, also the added value to your property being a really useable space, excellent little series of the build.👌
Well done finished at last. Little school boy error on the doors, but well saved by the carpenter 😀. Sure you and Lady T will enjoy and get the benefit for years to come. As a little treat for all the Peddlers how about a New Years dog walk across the downs. All the best to everyone for 2025.
Absolutely brilliant Ped. Massive congrats and job well done by your contractors. Being an engineer that likes tinkering with car mechanics it’s not what I would build - I would have more of a workshop layout but a garage is as personal as a tool kit - i.e. it suits you and that’s what counts. Must admit though being a bit OCD, those garage doors from the inside would bug the hell out of me as the bracing (excuse the term if wrong, I’m not a chippy) is off centre and not balanced 😟. Overall though your cars look like they are in your house! PS must say I love the wheel design on Ruby - stunning 🙂
Good to see a good amount of hinges to spread the weight, they wont sag. Do yourself a favor and get some sort of frontage on your woodstore, either soft or hard just to keep the rain from soaking the end of the logs.
Been really interesting & enjoyable to watch this project from start to finish, with a great result of which you can be truly proud. Look forward to seeing some great cars taking up temporary residence while being reviewed in 2025.
Well done Ped, a fantastic outcome to a very high standard of finish. You were very fortunate to find a first class team of contractors who shared your vision of the desired outcome and delivered it in spades. The door solution is brilliant, again a first class craftsman at work. The interior layout and finishes is simple but elegant and very adaptable for what you wish to display. As a retired Civil Engineer I was able to put a price to the work of that quality and we are probably in the same ballpark. Footnote - I really like the hexagon lighting.❤ Best Wishes to you both for Christmas and the New Year 🎅🥂🎄
Lovely solid quality build in a beautiful English countryside brick and flint enclave , most people could easily live in that garage too let alone the house :) Very nice !
Lot off work and lot off planning. It looks really good. Congratulations, and I want to wish you, Tracy, and the pups a merry Christmas and enjoy the time off.
I don't think you ever believed you'd be a full time TH-camr or have anything like this. As you say... it's a dream. Which car do you put the roofbox on? Just curious with them both being soft tops.
Great series, thanks for sharing the project, you should be very proud! I wonder if the addition a small tool chest of organised sockets, spanners, drivers etc would bring even more joy. It’s great being able to put your hand on a the right tools quickly when tinkering on cars/bikes.
Definitely no regrets Pete. It’s a great conversion which will be used for years to come and added value to the property overall. Really enjoyed the build vids. All the very best to you and Tracey for 2025 and catch up soon at goodwood 👍👍👍
While my garage is full of junk and my car is under a huge pile of snow. One of these days it’s going to change 😂congrats on the new garage, it’s a great investment on your daily lives. Money well spent.
This may have cost you a packet but, unlike transient purchases such as exotic cars or holidays, your converted garage will give you pleasure for every day of your life from the day it was completed.

A well deserved finale! It looks amazing and you can tell how happy you are with it. It’s been a great series of videos tracking its progress.
Thanks a ton!
@PetrolPed
Congrats, Pedro. Your garage is better than my house.
What a fantastic garage. Congratulations to you and your contractors. Please make sure you increase your building sum insured to reflect the rebuilding cost. Video coming on that very subject in the new year 👍
It looks great. One thing I’ve learnt in life is when you do something someone will always say they would have been able to do it cheaper or buy it cheaper. If you enjoy the thing you’ve bought it doesn’t matter if someone could have done it cheaper.

Mega! I hope that you’re pleased with it. Thanks for letting us all follow the journey and for being honest with it.
Beautiful build and craftsmanship. Surely, it's a lot of money, but the quality of life is important. You only get one go around !!!
Indeed you do 👍
Amazing, Pete. I can see how chuffed you are with the transformation - and rightly so.
Thoroughly enjoyed the series, been great to follow along and the transformation is truly fantastic! Hats off to all involved, the attention to detail is evident throughout. Thanks for taking us along for the ride 🏡
Glad you enjoyed it!

Properly enjoyed following this journey with you, and you have a garage to be proud of to show for all the effort.

There are dowpipes and soak aways on the other two sides so it’s not doing the whole roof 👍
@@PetrolPed
Even so, you will be amazed how fast a rain butt fills up. Maybe pipe it to the back garden and a soak away there?
You look so proud and happy, and you deserve to be! Congratulations for successfully completing a project that will add so much joy and health to your lives! Construction projects always costs always run over by quite a bit (I always just double my estimate), but ultimately it will pay off.

Wish I had the money to as it was fun 👍
Excellent finish to your Dream Garage Ped, flows beautifully, very envious, happy Christmas to you both and Pups !
Same to you mate 👍

Thanks 🙏🏻
An absolute dream result. I’m not too interested in cost but would love to hear more about your bike collection. Well done.
Yeah I’ve got an unhealthy obsession with bikes 😂
Looks amazing no wonder you are over the moon with it. Have a great Christmas and an amazing new year. James
Thanks, you too!
Well done got there in the end, I recon around the 100K all in
Double that and add a bit 😜😂
Fantastic mate, so glad it's 99% completed, looks fantastic and (first hand) works perfectly! Have a great Christmas guys ❤
Cheers Buddy. Have a good one too mate. Rest up for next year as it’s going to be mega 👍
Congratulations!.... what a beautiful garage. I think it is worth every penny. Just enjoy it , you deserve it. Great video , great job.
Thanks so much!

Ah I know. It’s doing my head in too. I need to work out how I can charge so many cameras and make it tidy 😬😂
Congrats Ped ❤
Thanks 🙏🏻

We have an overflow solution 👍

Thank you! 😊
It looks fantastic. I have major man cave envy. The door miscalculation i bet was very frustrating for you. But these things happen. Enjoy it.
It was but I’m over it now. Just waiting for the boss to get over it too 😂😂😂
Stain the lapping with a coloured pine oil, doesn't peel quick new coat evry couple of years.
Big props to the chippy for making the door extensions virtually invisible from outside..?
Seasons greetings to you and Tracey...?
I know right. He did such an awesome job 🔥
Looks great Pete. Thanks for taking us thru the journey.
Enjoy 👍
Thanks, will do!
Congrats on the build. Loved watching it. You’ve done a great job growing the channel. Would like to see more mid to high end vehicles reviewed.
I’ve got some mega stuff booked in already 👍
A job well done Pete and a nice way to end the year. Happy Christmas to you and Mrs P Ped.

Looks fabulous. Your water butt will fill up and overflow, you will need a soak-away or drain off for the excess rainwater.
I agree. Sorted already 👍
Fabulous garage. Note the water butt needs an overflow as it will fill pretty quickly.
Already got one 👍
WOW! Everything turned out great.
Super-happy for you. It’s truly an amazing space.
Happy Holidays to you and your family.
Thank you! You too!
Love it, congratulations Ped !!
Well worth it.
Thanks 🙏🏻
Looks great, you’ll never regret doing it!
Hope so!
Worth every penny, you've got quality work there!
Yep 👍

Excellent. A vision is now reality ❤
Thanks 🙏🏻
Well done, Pete, it's over. You can now relax and enjoy it.
That's the plan!
Great job all round. Important question, where did you get the console stand thingy on yur Zwift setup?
It’s from Wahoo 👍
Wow, well done, congratulations!!!
Thank you!
Have you decided not to automate the garage doors then?
They will be automated next year but just need the bank account to recover first 😂
Very nice Pete looks amazing have a great Christmas both of you . Looking forward to next year's content .
Thanks, you too!
As desirable as the GT3 may be, I think the Boxster and a completed garage was your best decision.
Great job !!
I agree 👍
What an excellent space you've created. Very tastefully done.
Thanks so much!
Looks blooming awesome, Pete. Us mere mortals could only dream about that! Brilliant job. 👍
Thanks 👍
Great outcome looks fantastic. Merry Christmas and a happy new year.
Thanks, you too!
I could quite happily live in that ! 😅 Turned out great , the bike racks are clever
Thanks 🙏🏻
Someday I'd love to have a garage as beautiful as this one!
You can do it!

I have really enjoyed the garage makeover series. Congratulations, looks a fab job!
Thanks so much! 😊

It was for when we had the Mini Clubman and before that the Audi S4 Avant. Always useful to have around 👍
Loved the whole series!
Great to hear 👍
Congrats! Merry Christmas
Same to you!
Fantastic job I and a beautiful home. I will be building my dream man cave "garage" next year. Merry Christmas and Happy New year. 🍻
Good luck. It’s a fun process 👍
@@PetrolPed The quality will remain when the price has been forgotten.... 😊
Great video, loved seeing the journey and the build. One minor thing I would change. Swap the two Lego technic cars so they are both facing inwards
Yeah I know what you mean. I’ll give that a try 👍
Hi Peter. A very Merry Christmas to you, Tracey, and the pups!

Well done Pete! Merry Christmas
