Hardwork is important but work is a part of life, not complete life. We are humans and I believe emotions are what make us humans. I am not against hardwork but only professional growth should not be the target of life. If a person remains absorbed only in work then ge is no more than a robot. Again saying I love the idea of hardwork and economic growth but there are other vital things in life which must be given importance. Addressing the issue of exploitation, I think the people who are raising voice against the issue are the one who have no real power to control exploitation. If you will employ workers, you can check their exploitation, the ones who are exploited are powerless. If the issue is to be solved, the people who expect other employers to provide them better conditions , should themselves work hard and be in the providers category rather than seekers. I am not saying exploitation is right but rather than expecting something from others, people should themselves take action. Anyways your videos are great source of knowledge. Thanks a lot for sharing your knowledge and experience with others.
I noticed you are actually replying, I have been connected to you from sometime so it feels like all the reply's are written by you. I wanted to ask a question but made you capable of working hard. How are you able to do what most people run from, what is the mindset, methods and motivations around it. Because it is a big issue people make promises but they don't fulfill them. I am 19 years old (about to be on 3 feb) ,it will be amazing to know and learn something vital that may twist my foundations for forever and give me strength for life.
"Ashish, your perspective on work-life balance resonates with many professionals. How do you suggest individuals in high-demand roles implement these practices effectively?"
I generally agree to you on a lot of things but here i disagree 1. Exploitation does not come from entitlement , it's basically getting paid for 8 hours and working for 12 13 hours for free essentially 2. if you want an employee to work for 12 hour then pay for 12 hours 3. not only managers level postions but manufacturing workers and overall all level of jobs in europe have work-life balance 3. a person life is not defined by his/ her job personal life and focusing on health and relationships do matter 4. if you are the founder then your work life balance should not affect your employees work life balance because in time of recession you will be the first one to lay off that employee so why do you expect that the employee must devote more than what he has promised to your company
Well you don’t need to agree with me always and I will still be happy to know your perspective in case of disagreement, but here all the points that you mentioned, I agree with all of them and I don’t see where did I say anything that goes against aforementioned. Let’s go point by point: 1. I didn’t say it’s alright to work for free, i said it’s entitled view that a certain type of work or hours is exploitation. Some places in the world believe 8 hrs per day and 5 days a week is exploitation. Ideal work is 7 hrs per day and 4 days a week with 1 month of paid leaves every year is ideal. Who is right? It’s exploitation when someone is forced to something against their will and they don’t have an option to quit. 2. I agree 💯 3. Yes, within Europe everyone has that because their per capita income is 30-40x of our country and they outsource almost everything to other countries with lesser per capita and purchasing power. My example is explaining exactly why they have less working hours. 3. Where did I say only job defines you? Hear it again, I am talking about life outside of work and beauty of it. 4. I 💯 agree. As a founder no one in my company is expected to work as hard as me or follow a schedule that is around me. Again where did I say that it should be basis or like founders? I think you are watching this video and getting triggered because of some unresolved anger from your past experiences or you watching with some pre-conceived notion. In case you are wondering why do I care? Well neither I get to make these videos nor I plan to earn anything from this. I do care for anyone who decides to watch this content and if the takeaway is aligned with content. I am ok if you disagree but at least disagree with what i said not what you interpreted.
@ashish.tulsian sir i respect you a lot and I have received invaluable knowledge from you which has helped me alot 1. i believe that everyone should get to work only for what they are paid for if someone wants their employees to work for 14 hours a day 6 days a week and employee is okay working for it and employer is paying reasonable amount then their is no exploitation , 1.1 the problem is that people like Narayan Murthy are not hiring their employees to work 70 hours a week they are hiring them for 48 hours and the extra 22 hours a employee has to work for essential free and that's where is disagree with whole this thing of work 70 , 90 whatever hours 2. even if europe has more per capita that does not mean we should let our people exploited just because we are poor and still have proper employment laws , sir you clearly said that people in Europe work as only managers who manage indian employees but even if we see people of other sectors even blue collar people they also have proper work life balance 3. I agree that there is a beauty in life and work is also a beautiful part of it but the point is employeers are expecting their employees to find everything just in their work and I agree that what you said is misinterpreted by me but the reality is whatever you said (I know you didn't mean anything bad) is used as jargun used by employers to exploit employees 4. you are right that you never said that your employees must work as hard as you but that's something it's generally expected sir I'm not coming from any anger or past issues , I'm merely a student currently in second year of college and not from engineering so I'm anyways never going to work in corporate sector but the kind of suffering people face and what I've seen people around me go through makes me realise that there is a clear problem over here , I'm neither a communist or a socialist who wants some equity and that kind of thing I sincerely believe that hard work is important and a employee is expected to work hard for a company but there is a difference between hard work and exploitative work where a person is generally expected to leave behind there relationship, health and well being and work extra hours for free for a company
@@ashish.tulsian If someone don't love to work, they must quit. But in my view, Everyone won't able to be Talented Business Man like you, so in this case they are doing jobs. And you know a lot of companies have Moring time for entry but no fixed time for out. It's importatnt to get doctors 24 hours. So Hospital should hire 3 for 8*3=24 hours. Not a single person need to job for 14 hours. And if they worked, they must get paid for the overtime. And if anybody not like ovetime, we can't force him. I am a big fan of your Podcast. Thanks
That’s ok and I will respect your opinion. In case this comment is not just to show hatred, then I would love to know what part of what i exactly said makes you feel that? I may still standby it but will help me see your perspective
I think work life balance is really being hyped concept!!! Sir your clarity of thoughhts and speech is amazing
