We all love the fact that apart from Disney land, there is at least a place that young children can go to as a family holiday with real enjoyment and feel safe and not because it’s a children friendly zone.
USA for us is over the top with face value on materialistic things that aren’t so important in life. We felt children can learn and embrace life differences in countries like Thailand or Singapore or Japan without knowing. We often took our kids when they were younger to the USA mostly around Washington state and can see that our kids preferred their Southeast Asia trips or Far eastern vibes a lot more- particularly in Thailand.
We did asked them why, and the replies were mostly down to the freedom reasons, which surprised us most. We have given it a good thought and then the reality hit on the pro and con that has turned out to be so true particularly comparing it between Japan, Thailand, USA and Uk.
Over twenty years experienced as a larger family holiday travelled group around Asia, it hasn’t yet give us a clarity moments in regretting fact through the experiences as much as the bad experienced we have had when visiting around Europe and USA. Extra charges for more bath towels is for one and most common in a hotel, courtesy for sharing space is second. Or-third, by being impatient with younger guests in a non children friendly zone ie- direct answering given to a child that might take longer times in a restaurant is nothing in-comparison on the same standard to that initiative of interaction taken for older guests or parents-just to up sale. This is bad when a person is being lowered in value only because of their younger age group, and the long list can go on.
Children living in Japan, Thailand or far eastern cultures are more involved with everyday lifestyle influences, whether good or bad. Many of their adults from these cultures are also setting a good examples.
The children can learn to judge things from the most innocent fresh looking in perspective that we might oftentimes missed. And while over here in the west, we tried our best to protect our children from "what we think is bad" and keep imbedding that ideas onto our little one’s head, which creates expectation.
On the other hand - the others side of the world are physically practicing what mentality is acceptable and input these into real actions.
Maybe, it’s time to upgrade the western values on many life principles perspectives. Our kids have seen Japanese children no more than 5 years old lines up organizing themselves with a flag - in order to cross the road without adults supervisions, and then - all cars would stopped as soon as they see the flag being lifted.
My kids also have experienced a long queuing of children lining up for ice cream treats but many of the older ones 5 to 6 of them gave up their own queue to younger child who stand waiting behind them = by a simple gesture of walking towards the back end of the line again without saying a word in many Thai villages.
Children from countries like Japan and Singapore are so unimaginably advanced, while children from Thailand are so well refined in respecting manners and have high kindness consideration for others being. Here at home - we felt that our kids are declining faster than ever in those good standard. Hmm…. 🤔
lovely video clips and thank you for your helpful summary.

TH-cam recommended your Thailand vlogs to me and I instantly subscribed. Just want to say that you are doing an outstanding job with your kids 💕 They are open to trying new things at such a young age and I can only imagine them being kind, worldly, open minded adults when they're older. Traveling with kids is NOT easy. Btw I'm Thai American and my 4yo convulsed when I gave him that same meatball noodle soup 🤦‍♀

December and January are best to visit Thailand weather-wise so your plan for January is valid. However do some research on Loy Krathong and Yi Peng festival in Chiang Mai. They happens in late November every year. It’s spectacular.

There's a very famous Michelin-starred Pa-tong-go vendor in Bangkok's China Town. If I'm not mistaken, one set will set you back by 50 Baht. It comes with a pandan custard dip.

It's a shame that your channel is growing with Thai viewers. Because many channels are sharing clips from you. I think that if you frequently upload clips about traveling in Thailand, it might make the channel grow faster because Thai people like to watch things about Thailand and like to watch things like traveling with their families.
