What makes your videos better than any other skating how-tos, is how specific you are in your explanations and how slow you show everything!! I knew most of these warm ups, but not how exactly I should have my form. Thank you!!

This is a really useful video, thank you for making it. Would you ever consider making a video on what stretches to do to improve flexibility with skating in mind? I'm new to skating and I really would like to get more flexible but I'm not sure if what I'm doing at the moment is even helping

I think a whole series of videos on stretching would probably be a good idea. 😄

So I just started getting back into skating after..... let's just say a REALLY long time lol! Was never professionally trained. Your vids have been SUPER helpful and you're the best TH-cam coach by FAR! My soreness is telling me I need this warm-up so THANK YOU! 💜

I'm exactly where you are! I had to pause my skating as a pre-teen, but now as an adult skater, I have to relearn everything.

Great Warm up ! Ha I used this when I went to the roller rink yesterday to the adult skate. Their looking at me with the expression "Say what?" I will also use this when I roller skate outside on trails or court, its perfect. Its challenging but very doable.

Love your videos! Do you have suggestions on warm-ups for a very beginning beginner (who are not very athletic and just learning all the basics such as swizzles, forward stokes, etc.)

These are great warm ups! Recently I saw a video of myself skating and noticed my knees move inward when I bend them. What do you recommend is the best exercise for that?

Hey, that is a great question. We actually tend to have overly dominant Adductor muscles as figure skaters, which work to bring the legs together. It is important to build stabilizing strength in the lateral glue muscles (gluteus medius and gluteus minimus) as well as the lateral external hip muscles. If you have a gym membership then find the Abductor machine, which is super helpful. If you are at home, then lay on your side, one arm resting on the floor in front of you, and do side leg raises, activating the outside of the hip.

How many length of run that skater take?
