Having just finished watching a several-months-long TH-cam adventure of people thru-hiking the Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail, I was initially bemused/amused by your microwave concerns, but... ...but then I remembered my family's times traveling in our RV (back when we owned one) and remembered the sense of frustration I felt when things broke or didn't work Carrying everything on your back and pitching a tent/cooking dehydrated meals on a backpack stove is one thing. Dragging an expensive home on wheels behind you where you expect things to work - because that's what you paid for - is a whole different thing, so I clearly have to adjust my thinking about the life you are living (which I must confess I envy)....

We are getting a brand new Casita travel trailer delivered in November and I CAN'T WAIT for all the adventures we're going to have. Ya know there was a time, not all that long ago, that microwaves didn't exist. I know it's hard for you youngins to believe but I remember when I first heard about microwaves was even before they had name. Yes I walked to school in blizzards buck nekked uphill both ways. But really you can survive without a microwave for, well actually, the rest of your life. As far as that adult thing goes, it's WAY overrated. Thanks Hanks and keep the good stuff coming.

Lmao we used to do that all the time before we all started teleworking permanently - the 'hands clean' thing, whatever it's called. Either a situation where we would hand a problem off to someone or something simple that just took 30 seconds to fix - tell them what happened and give 'hands clean' signal to your coworkers lol.
Oh dang! Although Hatcher Pass is gorgeous even on a dreary day, I wish you’d had a sunny day to see the whole scope of the area. From right near the Independence Mine trails, you can, weather permitting, see all the pay past Palmer to Cook Inlet! You are higher up than you might imagine on a cloudy day. Glad you had fun though. 👍
We barely ever use our microwave but I cook all the time cause I love cooking. I started a "camper cooking" playlist if you want ideas of things you can cook on your range. Might help while you're having microwave issues

Another great video! We were in Alaska from mid-July to mid-Aug. We went to Palmer, Independence Mine, and Hatcher Pass. We hike up to Hatcher Pass. I agree, I felt very small while we were there. Isn't the green of the landscape incredible? We have said if we go back, we'll fly up and rent a camper up there. Size won't be as big an issue for us since our camper is 21'. But the drawback would be having to leave our 70lb lab, Molly, at home. That is a deal breaker for me. We were lucky, we had 3 days of rain while we were there.

We love watching your videos. We bought an RV and a truck to pull it and Know nothing about RVing and started a You-Tube Channel and know nothing about running a video channel. Your channel has provided a lot of tips that have been very helpful. I do mention you Guys when we discuss tips we learned from you guys and put and tell people to check you out. Anybody else have a GD rv confection microwave blowing the fuse everytime when try to run it? Research it, i did, bought a replacement piece of plastic on amazon that the door clips close into, cheap plastic causes the problem, deteriorates fast causing the fuse to blow everytime. The fuse blowing is a safety feature lol annoying too! Easier to replace that pc of plastic vs pulling out the microwave n installing a new one. 🍻

I love using a hot Air Popper, taste is great, never a burned kernal and much quicker and cleaner and healthier.
