My recommendations would be like this. Start with Batman Year One as we get what many considered to be the definitive origin for Batman and has inspired parts of adaptations like Batman Begins and Arkham Origins and considering how popular the Dark Knight Trilogy and the Arkhamverse is for general audiences, it makes this probably the perfect jumping on point. Next you jump to Long Halloween and Dark Victory where we focus more on the detective side of Batman as well as get more into the rogues gallery of Batman, these also serve as origins for Two-Face and Robin respectively. Next, I'd jump to Batman Hush, another story that focuses on the detective side of Batman but also showcases pretty much every part of Batman's mythology in the early 2000s, from all his various allies to his various villains playing roles, this is the best way to showcase just how vast Batman's mythos really is. After that, we can start getting into Batman runs and I would start with Batman by Scott Snyder, the New 52 era for Batman that gave us the Court of Owls and the reboot for Batman, I think it's the perfect starting run to give to new readers and the 2nd best Batman run in my opinion, only topped by Grant Morrison's run which is probably a bit too weird and vast to serve as a good introductory run for Batman. Once that's done, I think readers would have enough of an understanding of Batman and what people view as the main qualities of Batman to really decide for themselves where they want to go from there and which stories interest them.
Good list. In addition to KnightFall, I suggest adding the epic KnightQuest and KnightsEnd, as well as the Prodigal storyline in which Dick Grayson becomes Batman for the first time. I hope you keep making videos!
best beginning guide i've ever seen fr

I just pick whatever writer I like and start there.
Thanks very much for this, cuz it’s extremely confusing especially with the different earth variations and the story being rebooted like 100 times😅
I was like "how could she forget knightfall?", then you mentioned it and everything was right with the world again.
Did you consider stories like Son of the Demon or Sword of Azrael?
ILLYYY TYSM FOR THIS
