You can break damage on FF15 with normal attacks, using the Rare Metal accessory. (Which was added in the Royal edition 3 years ago, an award for beating Omega in Insomnia) My very first attempt at Adamantoise took 6 hours my fastest is like 5 minutes with Rare Metal and Ragnarok. (This accessory is standard in the PC version but requires the Royal Edition on consoles)
Fought a boss for a full seven days, non stop once. Blaster Master on NES. I was a kid fighting the crab boss while my mom was calling me. She ended up putting me on restriction from the NES for a week because I wanted to finish the fight. The crab boss room has a safe spot (bottom right corner, I think?). Before my mom made it down the stairs, I was able to camp in the safe spot and turn off the TV. A week later, when my restriction was lifted, I was surprised to see that the Nintendo didn't glitch out and my dude was still camped in the boss room, unpaused in the safe spot. So that one fight technically took a full week to finish 😀
I think Midir killed me more than every other boss in every other soulsborne game combined... I did manage to beat him a few times, but even after I got myself 99 in every stat, and I had every possible weapon, spell, armor, ring, in the game... that MF can still slap me around. I love the challenge, and I do not underestimate that dragon.
When fighting Adamantoise in FFXV, After a few minutes of fighting it glitched and disappeared. The fight ended and I got credit for defeating it. 🤷♂️
Jad and Zuk from runescape are probably some of the hardest bosses to even get to. The endless tries to actually deafeat them are absolutely brutal the first time around.
Regenerating bosses can really make it take a while, especially if they do full heals and don't have a gimmick that takes them down quickly/it's hard to figure out the gimmick.
I remember the first time I fought the tortoise in ff15.. I was already limit break on everything and I got lucky and found a spot by its foot and just held B for a literal 30 minutes to keep stabbing it with the triton staff weapon for like a 1000+ combo. And it STILL took like 1.5-2 hours to defeat

FFXII Yiazmat is by far the hardest boss I ever fought in any game. In Zodiac Age it is far easier but in the original it was mind boggling how long this fight could last.
The fact that it can have up to billions of hp based on dealt damage caps on its previous life is nuts, plus the variance of deaths ranging from a day to a week, and no fixed rewards makes it a nightmare.
Using the Lucian ring and teleporting back and forth between rocks to restore mana, I defeated the adamantoise in less than 15 mins. You just have to to keep up the drain constantly. You'll know it's working when the character model of the adamantoise starts looking flatter and more polygonal. For anyone looking for that easy trophy 😉
In SMT 3 Nocturne no one ever tells you that if you want to beat the true final boss you need to have a strength build with a pierce passive, so with my magic build it was nearly impossible and it took so damn long! Not to mention, it's Nocturne, so you know it's not an easy fight.
Nobody tells you either than you want max vit stat demons with 999hp and Endure cause of Infinite Light sometimes dealing 850 dmg for absolutely no good reason even if you have max debilitate on him.

You can barely damage it with normal weapons so you gotta resort to royal arms,it has a butt ton of status affects it can deal including ones that can last as long as twenty seconds,has nearly 560,000 hp as well as insane spirit and vitality.not to mention at half its health it goes into bigger frenzy modes and adds more attacks and damage almost insta killing the entire team if screwed up. With nearly 200 plus hours on this game it took me nearly half a DAY to beat it
Melbu Frahma from Legend of Dragoon on the PS1. I swear I was up all night (like from maybe midnight until morning) trying to beat all of his forms the first time.
My best play through maxed at 60 with lvl 50 d spirit which took me FOREVER might I add, still took me about 20-25 minutes to beat him with dart,rose, and Albert. It’s a hard fight indeed.
FFXV Adamantoise took me a total of 5-ish hours over the span of 3 days. The only reason I didn't grind it continuously is cuz I was a student and had school. So I left my PS4 on sleep so if I came back, I wouldn't have had to restart from the beginning
I want to give an honorable mention to Yozora from KH3 Re:Mind. Actually beating him doesn't take that long, but learning how to beat him takes several hours of training.

I recall fighting Nevan in Devil May Cry 3 for over an hour - she just kept on killing me over and over. As far as I remember, it was already a second time I played the game, having finished it before (then again, I might be mistaken, it was in 2007) but at that time she just kept on defeating me. Man, I triumphed so much after I've beaten her! So yeah, that took me forever and it felt so daunting yet felt rewarding in the end
I've beat MGS 3 4 times and The End was always super easy and pretty quick to beat. He leaves footprints when he moves so you run around for a couple minutes and find him the first time and shoot him with the AK. Then you just keep following his footprints and keep shooting him with the AK, and done. Never understood why people say it takes so long.
@Connor, the android sent by CyberLife you cant get the camo from using tranqs on the end, gotta sneak behind him point your gun so he gives it to you. Tranqs gives you the mosen nagant. Really love that game and have beaten it so many times already.
King Vendrick in DkS2 felt like an eternity to finish. Even though all you do is walk circles around him. And if you don't do that collection thing before facing him, it'll take even longer.
I beat ratchet and clank going commando legit around 20 times when I was a kid because I just loved playing it💀 the reason why I got passed that boss so easily is because of the Rhyno lol
First time I fought the adamantoise in FFXV, took me over an hour. Then after that first big update, spammed mp items, used the ring of lucii to zap him into another dimension within about 45 seconds
The first time I fought Adamantoise in FFXV, I got over half his health down then accidentally moved too far away and he reset. Started the fight again and eventually got him down.
I remember the final boss of Grandia 3 having a ton of hp, even with the special move that lets u stop time and wail on him at the start of the fight. Can't remember exactly how long it took but goddamn, it felt like forever...
I just used the ring of the lucii to one shot adamantoise. Btw eating the lasagna and then farming adamantoise with the ring is an amazing way to farm xp and Gil. You can sell the loot from the boss for 50,000 Gil each time you beat him. Came in handy when I started doing those vault dungeons
You can also get the Rare Metal from Omega and break normal damage (despite what the video says....it's a 3 year old accessory, so they should've known better) With Rare Metal and Enhancement you can pretty much hit 30k-99,999 depending on the weapon, the fight becomes hilariously trivial.
There's a 'cursed house' in okami that has you fight 10 waves of increasingly hard enemies, then makes you do it 10 times. At the end you get a stray bead, which is usually the last one.
My last stray bead for Okami is the giant wall guy who takes several hits in the pattern he shows you because I inevitably mess up the order or lose the place where I needed to hit it.
If there is any enemy in Borderlands that spreads definitive FEAR across the lands... it's Anathema the Relentless or Scourge the Invincible Martyr (Guardian Breach).
Is anyone gonna talk about the fact snake aimed his weapon using his blind eye 😂 seriously at the end of the clip at 6:50 he puts the iron sights to his eyepatch 😂
In Persona 5 Royal both Yaldabaoth and Maruki took at least an hour, but out of those two, Marukis boss fight took so dang long. Part of why it at least felt like it took so long is because the music they play is honestly super calming, and made me almost fall asleep multiple times, but he still took hardly any damage which you couldn't even infict until you git rid of all of his little tentacle shields and healing things. I had almost defeated his first form after probably 2 hours and then failed. A redeeming factor is that his last form if I remember correctly wasn't actually that difficult.
@@BenInstaLITGames Like I said, he isn't hard in the game. But you are fighting on top of a nuclear reactor. Through out the fight, he destroys parts of it. It is so easy to fall off. And if you fall off, you die.
my personal one was the Volt Beast from Grandia Xtreme. took around 2 and half HOURS to beat this thing. the main reason was it has two modes, one where its immune to physical attacks and the other where its immune to magic attacks (this include any elemental attacks). and it can switch between them at will, so you have qued up one type of attack, but his move comes up first so he would switch before you actually attacked. This meant you only did like 0-1 damage, maybe 2 if you were lucky. plus i don't spend long hours grinding unless i have to so i was about at the average level you would be just fighting monsters normally. and considering it just a mid game boss, that was insane. the toughest boss in the game is a bonus boss at the bottom of a massive dungeon that unlocks after you beat the game, who is at level 200. he takes awhile and is hard, but not nearly as long of a fight as that one.
1 thing you don't want to underestimate from high ranked MMO player is their level of patience in grinding.. They'll get the Items they want even if it take weeks worth of grinding.
The lichen? event boss from monster hunter world. You go through an entire story as geralt find the stupid hard boss that you can easily lose to or have time run out. If you win, you unlock the even harder version of tge lichen that a four hunter team can have a lot of trouble with
I loved fighting the Ur Dragon from Dragons Dogma. I was even lucky to take it down once. And to add that it was during Summer break and I was on vacation from work :)
I beat #2 fairly recently and I think the fight was about 40-45 minutes and I was only able to use the lil fairy demon summon even though I had titan and ramah. If you've played ffxv you know summons have weird triggers.
Fun fact. Pandemonium warden has only been defeated a handful of times. The problem was summoning it. It would take literally months to get to where you could summon him and those boss fights required multiple parties on standby to go in and out of the main alliance.
Ghirahim from Skyward Sword. 1. You keep fighting him through the game 2. That last battle feels like an eternity... Turns into Hyrule Warriors for a minute before you get to him
took me ages to get through the 'final boss' area in persona 5, had barely any healing items on me and just kept running out before even getting to the main boss
The Adamantoise one perplexes me, I beat it in around ten minutes give or take, yet I keep hearing people say it's really long. How long did everyone else take on it?
First time like 20 hours at level 50ish. Fastest sub 4-5 with max strength gear and despite what they said in the video...the ability to break normal damage limit (Rare Metal, a 3 year old accessory...did they do the research for this video in 2016?)
The thing about the Thugs 4 Less leader is he's not meant to be fought normally. They did a good job of conveying that since I got the message right away. It scared me, so I jetted away and saw the jump pads. Doing it the intended way maybe takes 2-3 minutes. I think felt engaging enough since I had to stay on the move and felt this huge beast of a machine chasing me at all times. It only became boring after I got used to it and could do it super fast with full understanding and no worries.
@@wteverisgud I would do regrettable things for a remaster of LoD. It was the best rpg by far of its time and for many years later and still to this day is my favorite game of all time. I still get goosebumps at the ending cutscene.
My longest fight was against the Minotaurus from ac:odyssey, it was at least 30 mins and while it wasn't really that hard the space you can move in is really small and it's charge attack could almost one shot me. It felt really satisfying to finally beat it
Apparently, regarding Master Gee the Invincible, there's a "glitch" you can use to just crush him under the entrance to the area. You stand directly under the gate to the area and use longbow singularity grenades to teleport him to you slowly (don't hit him with them, and you need about 8-10 grenades). Once he's right in front of the gate, you run out and very quickly punch him, throw a longbow directly under the gate, and he'll spawn under it as it's closing and be crushed. There's apparently a chance of some loot falling under the map, but oh well, eh? Ez x)
so as I understand from more enlightened people is that the boss in question had special mechanics that the players hadn't figured out yet, but a bunch of people realized they could cheese the fight and bypass the mechanic, its just that it took a lot longer. The fight wasn't SUPPOSED to take 18 hours, these people just tried to brute force the fight.
Yiazmat took me just over 4 hours. Still the longest one I've had, I'm sure they've made much, much longer ones since but I've not played terribly much Wait, that big ass dragon, people fought it with armor?? I ran in naked wtf it one shotted me either way! Damn.

I believe Grandia 2 (I played the HD version) had a boss that just took forever as you would spend a long time buffing yourself and removing the boss' buffs, etc. But in terms of sheer size..... The older bosses from Maplestory (Older versions) often had clear parties of 12 hours. This was for Hornedtail and Pink Bean and a couple others, iirc. Even Zakum would take a hour back on release. So yeah, old school MMOs and fights that were way too long are apparently just a regular occurrence. XD
I'm sure Dark eater midir is harder. Took me alot of deaths and a dragonslayer axe that was used against people instead of dragons to beat him. I make this sound not so bad but it's not a enjoyable fight.
The first time I found the end boss on the Legendary version of the District Union Arena stronghold on The Division 2 felt like it took forever, not because it is hard though. He has way to much armor that regenerates and when you break that you can only harm him with headshots with a tiny hit window. At least how I feel about it.
Riven of a Thousand Voices from Destiny 2 took the World's First raid team ~7 hours to beat. The real kicker is that Riven wasn't even the final encounter, even though she _was_ the final boss of the Last Wish raid. All in all, Last Wish took Redeem (the first team to beat the raid) 18 hours to complete. For reference, only two teams (Redeem included) managed to get the day one emblem, which is a total of 12 people (give or take one or two who may have substituted).

Any Boss that regenerates health comes off feeling like it takes forever, even if in reality it doesn't take that much longer to take him/her down.

First time I fought the adamantoise in FFXV, took me over an hour. Then after that first big update, spammed mp items, used the ring of lucii to zap him into another dimension within about 45 seconds
The first time I fought Adamantoise in FFXV, I got over half his health down then accidentally moved too far away and he reset. Started the fight again and eventually got him down.
I did it In 6 hours. I was lvl 55
I got mad when my brother beat him i dont know if they changed that but you could easily beat him with the ring of lucis

I remember taking hours to beat several bosses, but that's just because I'm an average gamer haha

I remember the final boss of Grandia 3 having a ton of hp, even with the special move that lets u stop time and wail on him at the start of the fight. Can't remember exactly how long it took but goddamn, it felt like forever...

He's not that hard, but he has more HP than any of the other bosses by a long shot it does take a while.
Anytime you get over an hour long engagements, you're not playing a game anymore you're playing a torture simulator
I just used the ring of the lucii to one shot adamantoise.
Btw eating the lasagna and then farming adamantoise with the ring is an amazing way to farm xp and Gil. You can sell the loot from the boss for 50,000 Gil each time you beat him. Came in handy when I started doing those vault dungeons
You can also get the Rare Metal from Omega and break normal damage (despite what the video says....it's a 3 year old accessory, so they should've known better)
With Rare Metal and Enhancement you can pretty much hit 30k-99,999 depending on the weapon, the fight becomes hilariously trivial.

There's a 'cursed house' in okami that has you fight 10 waves of increasingly hard enemies, then makes you do it 10 times. At the end you get a stray bead, which is usually the last one.
My last stray bead for Okami is the giant wall guy who takes several hits in the pattern he shows you because I inevitably mess up the order or lose the place where I needed to hit it.

In Persona 5 Royal both Yaldabaoth and Maruki took at least an hour, but out of those two, Marukis boss fight took so dang long. Part of why it at least felt like it took so long is because the music they play is honestly super calming, and made me almost fall asleep multiple times, but he still took hardly any damage which you couldn't even infict until you git rid of all of his little tentacle shields and healing things. I had almost defeated his first form after probably 2 hours and then failed. A redeeming factor is that his last form if I remember correctly wasn't actually that difficult.
The Dark Lord is just a glorified marauder who also heals himself, Samur is much harder.

@@BenInstaLITGames Like I said, he isn't hard in the game. But you are fighting on top of a nuclear reactor. Through out the fight, he destroys parts of it. It is so easy to fall off. And if you fall off, you die.
my personal one was the Volt Beast from Grandia Xtreme. took around 2 and half HOURS to beat this thing. the main reason was it has two modes, one where its immune to physical attacks and the other where its immune to magic attacks (this include any elemental attacks). and it can switch between them at will, so you have qued up one type of attack, but his move comes up first so he would switch before you actually attacked. This meant you only did like 0-1 damage, maybe 2 if you were lucky. plus i don't spend long hours grinding unless i have to so i was about at the average level you would be just fighting monsters normally.
and considering it just a mid game boss, that was insane. the toughest boss in the game is a bonus boss at the bottom of a massive dungeon that unlocks after you beat the game, who is at level 200. he takes awhile and is hard, but not nearly as long of a fight as that one.

1 thing you don't want to underestimate from high ranked MMO player is their level of patience in grinding.. They'll get the Items they want even if it take weeks worth of grinding.

The lichen? event boss from monster hunter world. You go through an entire story as geralt find the stupid hard boss that you can easily lose to or have time run out. If you win, you unlock the even harder version of tge lichen that a four hunter team can have a lot of trouble with
I loved fighting the Ur Dragon from Dragons Dogma. I was even lucky to take it down once. And to add that it was during Summer break and I was on vacation from work :)

After watching the last video where you mentioned Absolute Virtue, I was thinking, "But what about Pandemonium Warden?" And here we are lol
I beat #2 fairly recently and I think the fight was about 40-45 minutes and I was only able to use the lil fairy demon summon even though I had titan and ramah. If you've played ffxv you know summons have weird triggers.
Fun fact. Pandemonium warden has only been defeated a handful of times. The problem was summoning it. It would take literally months to get to where you could summon him and those boss fights required multiple parties on standby to go in and out of the main alliance.

took me ages to get through the 'final boss' area in persona 5, had barely any healing items on me and just kept running out before even getting to the main boss

First time like 20 hours at level 50ish.
Fastest sub 4-5 with max strength gear and despite what they said in the video...the ability to break normal damage limit (Rare Metal, a 3 year old accessory...did they do the research for this video in 2016?)
The thing about the Thugs 4 Less leader is he's not meant to be fought normally. They did a good job of conveying that since I got the message right away. It scared me, so I jetted away and saw the jump pads. Doing it the intended way maybe takes 2-3 minutes. I think felt engaging enough since I had to stay on the move and felt this huge beast of a machine chasing me at all times. It only became boring after I got used to it and could do it super fast with full understanding and no worries.
The last boss in Legend of Dragoon. One of my playthroughs I fought him at lvl 38 and it took me an hour to beat 😂

@@wteverisgud I would do regrettable things for a remaster of LoD. It was the best rpg by far of its time and for many years later and still to this day is my favorite game of all time. I still get goosebumps at the ending cutscene.

My longest fight was against the Minotaurus from ac:odyssey, it was at least 30 mins and while it wasn't really that hard the space you can move in is really small and it's charge attack could almost one shot me. It felt really satisfying to finally beat it

Apparently, regarding Master Gee the Invincible, there's a "glitch" you can use to just crush him under the entrance to the area. You stand directly under the gate to the area and use longbow singularity grenades to teleport him to you slowly (don't hit him with them, and you need about 8-10 grenades). Once he's right in front of the gate, you run out and very quickly punch him, throw a longbow directly under the gate, and he'll spawn under it as it's closing and be crushed. There's apparently a chance of some loot falling under the map, but oh well, eh? Ez x)
Putting a boss in a game that requires 18 hours from multiple people playing at the peak of their ability is cruel and unusual.
so as I understand from more enlightened people is that the boss in question had special mechanics that the players hadn't figured out yet, but a bunch of people realized they could cheese the fight and bypass the mechanic, its just that it took a lot longer. The fight wasn't SUPPOSED to take 18 hours, these people just tried to brute force the fight.

I believe Grandia 2 (I played the HD version) had a boss that just took forever as you would spend a long time buffing yourself and removing the boss' buffs, etc.
But in terms of sheer size..... The older bosses from Maplestory (Older versions) often had clear parties of 12 hours. This was for Hornedtail and Pink Bean and a couple others, iirc. Even Zakum would take a hour back on release. So yeah, old school MMOs and fights that were way too long are apparently just a regular occurrence. XD

The first time I found the end boss on the Legendary version of the District Union Arena stronghold on The Division 2 felt like it took forever, not because it is hard though. He has way to much armor that regenerates and when you break that you can only harm him with headshots with a tiny hit window. At least how I feel about it.

Riven of a Thousand Voices from Destiny 2 took the World's First raid team ~7 hours to beat. The real kicker is that Riven wasn't even the final encounter, even though she _was_ the final boss of the Last Wish raid. All in all, Last Wish took Redeem (the first team to beat the raid) 18 hours to complete. For reference, only two teams (Redeem included) managed to get the day one emblem, which is a total of 12 people (give or take one or two who may have substituted).
