I had no idea it could also be used as a button. Not knowing what to do, I pressed the top R button and tilted the one you're supposed to push at the same time. It did work sometimes, but made it a lot more complicated

you press the button that I pointed out earlier in the video. you can hear a clicking sound when you press it. if it's not working, try calibrating the joystick. If it is still not working, I would suggest borrowing a joystick from someone in case yours is defective. I read that some devices (the old one) are defective.

I have only played using the r button at the top right on gameboy sp. And if by chance i could play a controller, the right motion "r" button was never used. Although now i understood why it clicks -apparently it's functional- what an eye opener. :) first time to use it here in this game.
