was cleaning this because of spidermites and some soil fell of during the wash. saw these little things!!! its either a bulbous root or it finally grew babies!!!! waaah hopefully the latter. #stephaniaerecta

try calibrating the joystick or borrow from someone who has an extra to know if the cause is the joystick.

you press the button that I pointed out earlier in the video. you can hear a clicking sound when you press it. if it's not working, try calibrating the joystick. If it is still not working, I would suggest borrowing a joystick from someone in case yours is defective. I read that some devices (the old one) are defective.
I had no idea it could also be used as a button. Not knowing what to do, I pressed the top R button and tilted the one you're supposed to push at the same time. It did work sometimes, but made it a lot more complicated
Can you fish in the ocean on the shipwreck one?
@ashleyc.6607 Yes. You can fish in all of them, but sadly, all the same fish you get in the original landscape, which is koi and others.

This is unintentional ASMR. i love it. I wish Palia would seperate the players sounds aka grunting walking etc with the natural sound effects like the birds and water and wind so that we could have JUST the nature sounds on and not the random grunting that makes me feel like i've got a match of tennis on the telly and gets me weird looks from anyone who happens to be in earshot.

Mine doesn't work either. I did an update and a couple of reboots. My next step is to try another game to see if my joycon is bad or my game is bad....hope you figure yours out!
Try callibrating. If it does not work, maybe ask a friend to borrow a joy con to try before replacing it.

You see guys, this is why you read dialogue instead of skipping it, it gives the game personality AND BASICALLY TELLS YOU WHAT TO DO.
I've played this game multiple times and have some experience. But I also got stuck on this part on my first playthrough. This would have been useful!

There could be something wrong with the button. You could try calibrating the joystick. Not 100% sure it would work. Or try another joystick?
