I saw her perform several years ago in Raleigh, and she played this song. I'd never heard this version before, but Gravity is and always will be my ultimate favorite song. This is just gorgeous.
Had never heard of her before and I was watching the show DEADLIST CATCH and they had her singing asong and I found out what the song ws at the end during the credits. I love to listen to her sing and play could sit here all night and just listen and chill out so mellow and sweet
To the person that said she has a weak voice: please don't judge her based on a non-professional video (prob recorded the sound from whatever mic the camera had). See her LIVE and then decide. There is no substitute for seeing Vienna live. She is AMAZING.
I'm partial to the River version myself, but I might be biased from having just finished learning how to play it on the piano (from the sheet music on her website). There is a certain calm and peace about the Lake version that is appealing as well, though. ~ Ferrard
i think her voice is unique and beautiful gosh i'm really going to practice piano now hehe i've been abandoning it and this song is just too beautiful to not learn.
She's sitting on one of those leather benches actually. But, yeah, it's the bench that made the noise. My piano teacher used to have one like that and whenever you moved the leather would make that sound.
It was an audience noise. (I know, I was there.) Keep in mind that this recording was taken from the audience, so any loud noise you hear is probably from them.
these are some possibilities: 1) the piano bench 2) someone from the crowd 3) that's really her! but still, even if she farted, she hid it well. she didn't crack a smile or anything. Keep up the good work Vienna Teng!
Agreed. I can't believe my favorite piano piece is on that soundtrack. (River Flows In You) Let's not put another piece I'm in love with on that soundtrack.
@FanpireBellaEdward You can find reasonably accurate chords online, it wouldn't be too much a stretch to place them and do what Jazz musicians always say..."fake it 'till you make it" :) it's got some sharps tossed in I remember, there's a D# in there that (at least when I'm playing it on guitar) "feels" strange...works in the song, but where she places it is just kind of unique.
you can find the sheet music for this lake version (and the other version and many more) at pianofiles(dot)com. You'll need a free account just so you won't have to enter your email every time you request a sheet.. and it might take some time for users to send you those sheets.. u should therefore ask more than one person for the same thing just in case. If you want you can send me your email I'll send it to you.
I'm pretty sure Vienna said somewhere that she's been heavily influenced by Tori Amos... If you like this song, make sure to check out her albums. They're all worth listening to. And no, I'm not getting paid to say this *lol*
? What do you mean by that? she certainly doesn't have a weak voice - She actually has a very strong one... Of course this is your opinion but still I can't cope with what you said. Maybe you should spend some time listening before judging (in my opinion) that wrongly. Saying Vienna had a weak voice is like saying green was red to me.
Actually on second listen, I think she just played a wrong note and the reverberation from that, or it came from the audience. But really, why am I even trying to dissect something like this; we should just enjoy the beautiful song.
She looks pretty cute and plays Ok but like most asians can't sing and the song is a boring cliche - she has a high fuckability rating and a bit of talent so she should go far
I Love Vienna Teng, but I need to say, did she fart? If you listen between 1min 15secs to 1min 30secs you can hear it.. Love this song too shame about the wind....
I thought I was being pretty nice about it I am sure she is good at maths - but lousy at driving a car....and compared to really great piano singer songwriters she is amatueurish, I love asians - but they aint got any rythym,it don't mean a think if you aint got no swing
Vienna Teng is a goddess
Heavenly... full of emotions, full of devotion, full of hope.... I love you Vienna, love your songs..
Beautiful...theres no other way to say this. Her voice is so pure.
im in love. great musician
I saw her perform several years ago in Raleigh, and she played this song. I'd never heard this version before, but Gravity is and always will be my ultimate favorite song. This is just gorgeous.
When we heard this live, it almost my made my mom cry..Gravity is by far my most favorite song by her, and this is just stunning.
Wow. That was beyond what words could describe. Beautiful.
Her voice is beautiful and appropriate for the emotions she expressing as a balladier
I love this artist. True raw talent...amazing. Just amazing.
I love the changes she made from the recording. Thanks for uploading! Vienna Teng rocks, and that's the understatement of the millennium. ^_^
Beautiful.... I love this song....
so amazing. i can't even describe it.

This version is definately growing on me. And whatever the Philly version is, I want to hear it and see it.
just beautiful!
Great song. I'm finally going to see her perform next month at Yoshi's and I'm really looking forward to it. Thank you for uploading this, Klaorman!

Hehehe, she IS awesome! Don't worry, I wasn't offended or anything. ^_^

Hey matilda

Well you have bad spelling. OWNED
She looks pretty cute and plays Ok but like most asians can't sing and the song is a boring cliche - she has a high fuckability rating and a bit of talent so she should go far
I don't see why you feel compelled to post this.
hahaha
ten times better than yiruma
Many Filipinos do *not* self-identify as Asian.
I think you should listen to her other music before totally writing her off.
I think it's the bench, surely she didn't fart THAT loudly and then keep going without a reaction.
I Love Vienna Teng, but I need to say, did she fart? If you listen between 1min 15secs to 1min 30secs you can hear it..
Love this song too shame about the wind....
there is no such thing as the best jazz dancer in the world. the best hip hop dancers are in the US. They are NOT asian.
I thought I was being pretty nice about it I am sure she is good at maths - but lousy at driving a car....and compared to really great piano singer songwriters she is amatueurish, I love asians - but they aint got any rythym,it don't mean a think if you aint got no swing
