- What is Electrical Isolator?
The isolator can be defined as; it is one type of mechanical switch used to isolate a fraction of the electrical circuit when it is required. Isolator switches are used for opening an electrical circuit in the no-load condition. It is not proposed to be opened while current flows through the line. Generally, these are employed on circuit breaker both the ends thus the circuit breaker repair can be done easily without any risk.

Nice explanation Sir
Very nice sir- From saptarshi sarkar
An excellent video, I have a question shouldnt isolators operate at no load then why is there an arc?
Sir isolator me konsi motor hoti h
isolator ka rating kya hota h
Sir...... Sunne me aata hai ki sir,, isolated hone ke bad vi returns current rahta hai... Kya yah sach hai,,,, agar hai t sir kaise current ko hataye ..?? Please sir
LOL kiya protection hai MCB ko tape lagaya huya ke trip na ho... agar normal case mein b trip hota hai tu MCB jayada value ka use karo na.. ess tarah se tuh zero protection hai
What you want to say...clearly tell your doubt...
@@swamivivekanandatechnotuto7932 At 2:05 I am assuming that those are MCBs and are in on position. MCBs would probably be tripping in normal scenario because they must have put wrong current rated ones, so instead of replacing them with correct one, tape is put over them to avoid them from tripping.
@@it_geek actually this substation is under construction not in running condition. When power supply is given then tape will be removed.
@@svttelectricalhub449 ok got it. 👍
