Poor car, you used B mode the whole time. I hope you realize it's not good for the car and you are supposed to use D mode (except when the road goes downhill for a long time)

My mistake i was thinking is like a regen mode … i forgot 😪 i need to redo the test
@@SDADanCars B mode is a way to regenerate energy on roads on slope, but not as efficient as when you press the brake pedal.

It's not CVT, but e-CVT. Huge difference in design/reliability. You can't mix those names. Such a common error.

The eCVT is superb to use and as you say, more reliable than belt driven CVT (had one in the Subaru Outback, the problem I had, it was a bit sluggish in very cold weather for first mile or so). Subaru needs to adopt this eCVT and not sure why they dont.

What is B
A poor misused setting😉! A setting that enables extra battery recuperation whilst going downhill, as it functions as an engine brake. As some german speakers say, B stands for ''Berge'' (mountains).
For most purposes, except driving backwards, D ist the correct setting for driving on the flat and uphill.
@@philipmarsden7104 It's actually opposite. B mode recuperates less as it breaks with engine more to protect battery from overcharging and breaks from overheating. It should never be used for "normal" driving. Only for mountains going downhill.
