Because every Arkham game has a theme and improvement over previous ones 1. Asylum is for the one who don't like superhero games but love claustrophobic and horror environment. 2. Arkham City is for people who loves open world and side quests. 3. Arkham origins is for the one who loves boss fights. 4. Arkham knight is complete package with tiny bit of everything and those who prefer graphics and gameplay
I always say that each entry it’s unique to it self, so personally to me each game is equal if not one on top of the other by a little bit, such good games, not only in gameplay and mechanics but story and deconstruction of characters
@@Skeditx95Arkham Knight doesn't really have the best gameplay tho. A solid third is boring tank fights, and the stealth combat has had all challenge removed since Batman's new abilities are super OP and downright broken (the multi-fear takedown literally gives you 4 risk-free takedowns at the start of every encounter), so only the combat sections are truthfully better than the older games which is only 1/3 of the gameplay.
13:52 An interesting thing about the Zsasz/Museum thing that I realized upon recently playing the game these past few days is that there's a cabinet in Penguin's museum in the lobby/first area of it that's broken and the speaker button if you press says that it's essentially meant to house Zsasz but it seems that by the time of Arkham City/before cold call killer, he broke out and escaped towards the Steel Mill. Regardless, it's is pretty cool to have that sort of correlation, especially with the concept art.
Another interesting thing I’d noticed is that if you don’t want to play Zsasz’s “game” you could simply not choose to triangulate his signal and then Batman’ll automatically find his location in the steel mill.

I can't be the only one that remembers this. At some point in Arkham City's development Batman was able to glide and throw bombs at towers. I remember the devs showed it off when being interviewed, but of course it was cut from the final game.
One small correction, the map wasnt too small for the batmobile - they actually planned on having it in the game originally. I dont remember the exact reason, but it wasn't because the map was too small
I believe it had to with the actual environments. They would've had to expand the streets, make the roads longer and make the buildings bigger. The PS3 wasn't powerful enough to pull it off. Also the batmobile would've been too big to fit the environment in Arkham City.
I know your not a Transformers fan but it would still be cool to see you do an early development video on the Transformers Cybertron games as it’s another well received triple A video games based on an established IP. Plus it’s development history are fascinating.
I love your videos so much, there’s something about seeing the work building up that just makes you so much more appreciative of what we got I’d love to see you do a dying light video
I don’t think anything could’ve been done to make Arkham city any better than it was. Not even the 400 Goddamn riddler trophies cause even though it was tedious as hell, man that “boss fight” was satisfying
The one thing that I don't like about the next game, Arkham Knight, is that they didn't make Hush a secondary villain. He could've been the Arkham Knight of the story and instead of militia, he could've had an entire gang helping him out.
a batman game taking place between origins and asylum where you can explore all the games maps (knights, city and origins) and also the greater gotham area to asylum, where you can see the city before the decay of city and knights and filled with people and over the game the decay begins to show to batman and other people
One of the best and worst parts of Arkham City was catwoman cuz if u got her as dlc/return to arkham, she would add roughly 20 more riddler trophies on top of the 400 in game

To this day, i stand by the statement that Batman: Arkham City is a perfect game. It's the best superhero game, one of the best video games, and one of the best pieces of Batman media. Every single bit of Arkham City is done to glorious perfection, it does everything from Asylum better and adds new mechanics. The story is the perfect showcase of Batman's world and also his strength, intellect and superhuman resolve. The story interweaves a motley crew of characters perfectly, takes a large number of risks and twists especially the ending, has a great number of interesting side quests and the boss fights are incredible. Stealth gameplay is taken to new heights (and perfected in Knight) and combat is much deeper in the game. Traversal is innovated with Batman finally able to glide freely Arkham City itself is the best map i have ever played in any game. Every bit of it is so distinct and detailed that it's unreal. Not to mention how it maintains that claustrophobia and desire to be free: you're trapped in dilapidated slums against the backdrop of a neo-gothic metropolis that is Gotham City. Batman: Arkham City genuinely stands as one of the best games of all time. I honestly cannot find a single flaw with it. I really look forward to Spider-Man 2 in a few days, and I wait to see if it'll touch or surpass this masterpiece.
