The one thing everybody seems to overlook is how people are treated when they are at the mercy of others, and they give none. It’s honestly the first sign of no return for individuals. If those who are vulnerable ask for mercy where none is given what kind of future awaits? And what of those who do the killing?
Yes. Vader didn’t hate the Jedi younglings - they were just an inconvenient loose end that he had to clear up to fulfill Palpatine’s orders - but he did hate the separatist leaders, especially Gunray.
I've been a SW fan for a while, and I never thought of this before. I figured there was something personal about killing the Seperatist leaders due to Anakin's trauma from the Clone Wars and him probably holding them mostly responsible for it. However, I did not ever notice the specific hatred for Nute Gunray and why until this video explained everything. Also, the explanation for why Anakin's eyes turned Sith yellow only on Mustafar and not even when he was killing the Jedi due to differences in passion when carrying out the dark deeds makes a lot of sense. All in all, nice video.
Your analysis was spot on. Some scenes were deleted from the final cut of the movie. There was a little more dialogue between Darth Vader and Nute Gunray before he got deleted. Nute Gunray: The war is over. Lord Sidious promised us peace... Darth Vader: There was a gamble in the transmission. He promised you in pieces... It's reminiscent of Darth Vader force choking Director Krennic in Rogue One......Be careful not to choke on your own aspirations.....Director!
After Gunray tried to have her killed several times, he enslaved her people, I don’t blame Anakin in the slightest, Gunray is criminal and a murderer, he never gave her handmaiden a chance. So no, Anakin’s perfectly portraying a perfectly human response, he never wanted to hurt the younglings, that was blackmail. In looking at this from another angle, protecting the twins, and her, just going about it the wrong way. After Mace jumped forward and made forced his hand now, in this case, it’s Dooku and Gunray, that deserved no mercy. If they gave none to who they killed, do they deserve mercy, if they never gave it.
I've been watching the prequel trilogy, and there's so much to unpack in every scene I see something new on every viewing. I didn't like them when they were in the theater but now I think they are masterpieces of story telling.
@@toastgalaxy776: George Lucas was always poor at dialogue. He was a successful movie director, but would have been a complete failure as a novelist - (unless he was writing books for children under the age of 10).
There was so much in the prequels that needs to be further explained. I have seen these films so many times and I am still learning new things from videos like these.
The fact that this guy answered to Palpatine really should've been like a warning bell in Anakin's head that even if Palpatine does have the power to save his wife, Palpatine has NO and NEVER had any intention of doing so.
1st he isn’t vadar yet! 2nd none of that make it darker in anyway! 3rd he didn’t do it cause he thought he needed to he did it cause he was told to! He is a pawn and only does what he commanded to do!

Let's keep it real, annakins treatment of that room wouldn't have been any different than vaders

Really like the stories personally, but the dialogue makes it so hard to watch lmao

Not to mention: all the men Anakin lost in the war, and the pain their brothers suffered because of it.
He hated them, personally and deeply.
Well yes...Nut Gunray tried to have him executed in episode 2 and had personally had to protect Padme from this guy for so long..

Your analysis tracks.
The guy just slaughtered children I really don't think mercy was in the cards for lifelong enemies
It can be interpreted both ways/different ways, but I can definitely see this being the case.
imagine if Vader had force lightning he prob would of electrocuted Gunray to death

@@JacobLunbeck no he wasn’t! He wasn’t vadar till he was renamed and reborn as Vader in the suit!

The novel is much darker
Good eye
Remember, that this was sliced down because of Kathleen Kennedy
Revenge of the Sith is the best star wars movie. Bar none.
Like this comment if you're still not over Anakin killing children...
